"I ordered the HP Scanjet 2100C as advertized on Pricewatch. The Pricewatch price was $31 + $15-20 shipping. I ordered it on Tuesday. I didn't check here first & see all the bad posts so I was pretty worried.

This is what happened:

The scanner shipped the next day and I got a confirmation email with a FedEx tracking no. link.

The shipping was only $9. LESS than what was advertized on pricewatch.

It arrived Friday. (but granted I am in New Orleans, which is close to them).

The scanner is brand new and works perfectly. I just got it running correctly under WinXP (tho' the XP drivers from the HP website were a HUGE PITA -- it took several driver reinstalls before I finally got everything where it should be).

So anyway, that's my experience. Better than some NewEgg experiences I've had.

Who knows, maybe they are a bunch of jerks, or maybe some folks there have a lousy day once and a while. But let's not forget that people usually come to a place like this when they want to BITCH and the satisfied folks hardly ever do.

"I have nothing but GOOD things to say about Consumer depot, the employees where friendly over the phone, service was EXCELLENT! I rarely submit revews on services being good because it is a companys job to please the consumer, well consumer depot did that and a little more.
I Placed an order with Consumer Depot on 5/16/2002 and was worried about meeting the deadline i had given a customer. I contacted them to inquire about how long it would be untill I recieved my order. The person that answered the phone was very nice and helpful and told me that it would be there in time.. to my suprise i received the CD-R/RW on the date I was given. Which brings me to say that they knew their shipping company and did exactly what they said they would do, unlike Accu-byte that took them 3 weeks to get a product in a box for shipping.. to say the least accu-byte will never get bussiness from me or my fellow employee's.. THANK-YOU Consumer Depot!"

"Bought 2 PDAs around this time. One died after a few days. Email responses to requests were quick and once they recieved the dead one they shipped the replacement promptly."

"I read all the reviews here on ResellerRatings and was expecting the worst only to to be quite impressed. I ordered a Visor Prism and got awesome quality and price. Though the product details say it was refurbished, there were separate categories for the broken handhelds. With most of the bad comments posted at least a year ago, either Consumer Depot has changed or I was merely lucky. I would, however, buy again."

"I purchaced a used/demo Kodak DC3400 Digital Camera, no memory or box. It was recieved in 6 days but was missing the USB transfer cable. Consumer Depot at no cost to me found a cable and shiped it to me in three days! Customer service the way it should be!"

"I was very pleased with my first experience with this company and will return. The IOMEGA CD-RW I bought was the lowest priced on PriceWatch and also had the lowest shipping cost. I was able to track the delivery progress with the FedEx link and the item arrived earlier than I expected. I am very happy with the item and it is exactly what they said it was. I intend to do business with this company in the future even if they are not the lowest price."

"I am tight on money. Looked extensively for PDA to replace my malfunctioning one. Through Pricewatch found $49 Visor Platinum from Consumer Depot. Advertised slight scratch. Researched PDA's. Liked reviews of Platinum. Gave it a try. Order received when promised. Looks used (refurbished product) but what do I care? Was not expecting leather case or the brand new cradle. Took 2 days to locate advertised scratch on screen. Software did not work with product. No problem downloading update. Showed off at work. Everyone looked for their own. CD already sold out. Very satisfied with product. Thanks."

"Great folks, phone arrived in original box and all componets included. Amazing how some are absolutely happy and others outraged. I found Lori to be one of the finest support reps that I have dealt with. They even surprised me with free software.
This is how online purchases are supposed to be!! A++++"
