"Ihave ordered from this company several times without problems. I purchased soundcard, memory, cpu, and winmodem.I found that the modem was defective several weeks after purchase. I e-mailed them and sent it back for replacement. They sent me a better version of the modem as a replacement. The new modem works perfectly. I would definitely order from them again."

"I have ordered a floopy and a dvd rom with software on one occasion and 256 ddr ram with a modem on another and I have got exactly what I wanted. Both orders took 3 days to get here with ground shipping. I VERY HIGHLY reccomend this company for cheap prices.(A little high on shipping though.)
Compuvest and memory man are the places to buy!

"I have bought 4 video cards, video memory, 3 processors and
and 2 hard drives from Compuvest
over the last 3 years and very recently 2 more IBM hard drives. No problems. I have always been very satisfied with them ordering direct from their web site along with receiving prompt e-mails of order/shipping confirms from them. Their telephone service is not the best but I have always dealt with a guy named "Alex" who gives me great service. I highly recommend them. They do sell a lot of older "oem" and "refurbished" stuff, so one should make sure what they getting before ordering. On the other hand, what draws me to their site is their selection of legacy items."

"Ordered a Nomad IIc on Monday. My credit card didn't want to work, so they called me later that day. I called them back the next day and gave them the right credit card info, that was Tuesday. The Nomad showed up on Wednesday morning.

It was brand new, sealed in a retail box. The sales rep I talked to was friendly and knew who I was when I called. Shipping was very reasonable, $6 for UPS ground.

All around, a great deal. I wouldn't hesiate to buy again."

"I ordered a Visiontek Xtasy 64MB Radeon 9100 video card using Compuvest's website. The price was $46.00 + shipping, because it was a "white box" item, meaning that it doesn't come in the retail box, but elsewhere the same card IN a retail box was selling for $90 + shipping. I was nervous that "white box" could be secret code for counterfeit, stolen, returned, or defective merchandise.

Then, I noticed that there were Russian sounding names associated with Compuvest, and I became more nervous. Then I found RESELLERRATINGS.COM, read all of these bad reviews, and got REALLY nervous.

But I got a tracking number for the card with UPS, tracked the movement of the card, and I got the video card, (plus driver CD and installation sheet), extremely well packaged, in three business days.

I installed the card in my nephew's computer and it seems to work fine.

I wanted to get back to this website and add my comments, good or bad, to assist others in making a buying decision. But It's tough for people when I seemingly got a very good deal and product, but so many others here report bad experiences.

"This seller was the only one of the many I used to build my dream computer that didn't give me a headache. I wanted to build a computer equivilant to Alienware's top of the line Aurora, but build it myself so I would save about $1500. With the money I saved I decided to buy a good monitor. So i went with a black trinitron from Compuvest, who listed the lowest price on Froogle. I received it in a timely manner and the only problems i could find with it was it said it was new in retail package, and it appeared to be used not in a retail package...screen was a bit dirty and there's a ding or two on it...however, with that good of a price i didn't complain...they still get a thumbs up from me."

"All in all a good experience. Ordered Altec Lansing ATP3 speakers for $43.15 (+ &8.37 shipping) - a good price for these. Shipping was a little slow (item delivered 11 days after order) but had good email notifications w/ tracking info. Speakers arrived in great shape (appeared new). Based on this experience, would buy from Compuvest again."
