" I placed an order with Components Direct for nearly $2000 dollars. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews. The next day after the order was placed I got a call from Jeff. The 4 cdrom kits that I ordered were out of stock. Jeff substituted a more expensive kit that was in stock and didn't charge me for the difference. I am pleased with the customer service and the speed of delivery on the order. I will continue to order products from this company. My experience with them has been nothing but positive."
"My credit card was charged for the purchase, but the items were never received. Multiple attempts were made to contact them to find the status of the order - the FedEx tracking number they provided was bogus. Finally, I got through to them on the phone and they told me that item was no longer available and they would issue a credit to my charge card. They never issued a credit and I am having to dispute the charges though Visa. How exasperating!"
"I would never order from them again. You call and it just rings and rings and when you do get through, you are on hold for at least 20 minutes. Then they take your phone number and no one calls you back. Their site says they ship the next day but here it is a week later and when I check their site it says order still pending. I have emailed numnerous times and no one responds. This place sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"This was my first purchase from components direct and like several others the experience has not been good. I bought a DVD burner (sony DW-U12A)and also 321 studios xcopy, and xcopy express. The product description stated thet nero xpress was included with the drive for normal burning and data back up. The software never shipped and my emails (8) have been ignored and unanswered even though their site claims a 1 hour return for all emails :(. The money saved on this drive will hardly cover the purchase of Nero or Roxio6 nor cover the difference of the retail box product (Sony DRU510AX)at another vendor."
"I have been on the phone with them everyday for the last 3 days. Each time, I ask for my tracking number. In every case they do not have it and will call me back within the hour with the number. I have never been given a call back. This reseller is the worst I have ever dealt with. Do not purchase anything from this company unless you have a month or two to wait for your order. "I am an avid online shopper & have spent thousands of $ at various sites. My first time here, & I made the usual one item purchase to basically test the waters. I bought OEM WinXP pro, and all went well. I received my item promptly (from Ca. to Nv.) with no problems. Then, I got my bank statement. They billed me twice for the one item they shipped. I've been getting nothing but a polite run-around from them ever since. Next stop, the bank, from which card I used. These people ARE blatant THIEVES. Buy at your own risk, anything goes here."
"I placed the order on a Monday, decided to call on Thursday to see if the order had been shipped. (Their website said my order was still "pending"). They apologized for the delay and said they would get it out that day and send it 2 Day Express. I called on Friday to get the tracking number, and it still wasn't shipped. This time, they promised to send it overnight. So Monday comes and still no package, so I call them yet again. They apologized again - couldn't explain why it wasn't shipped, but provided me a Fedex tracking number and told me it would go out overnight that day. Tuesday, no package still. I called again and told me they would definitely make sure it went out that day - and so it finally did, and I received it on Wednesday. I originally ordered UPS ground shipping, which, from CA to NY would have taken about the same amount of time as it did for normal processing and shipping, but who's to say how long it would have taken had I not called them incessantly? In closing, if this sounds like your idea of a good time and enjoy babysitting your parts dealer, feel free to give them your business."

"Damn!!! I wish I would have read these reviews first! I just received my order- a CDR/W drive. It was sold as a new, Phillips CDRW 8x4x32. What I recieved was a old, dusty drive, made in October of 2000! It's even got what looks like coffee spills on the front of it. New, my ass. And No, there's no indication that it's even remanufactured!
DO NOT BUY FROM componentsdirect!!! These guys should be ashamed; where the hell's the management of this company? "
