"I ordered a Canon T1i from them and I got an Email asking me to confirm the order. When I called, I was informed that this was the camers "body only". It did not include anything that comes normally from Canon with a "body only" camera. No battery, no charger, not even an owners manual. Nothing! All this "standard" stuff was extra cost. I cancelled the order and they did that immediately, no problems there.
If you order from them, be careful! To get the same camera you can pick up at Walmart could end up costing you a lot more."
"Buyers beware! This is a variant of the well-known bait-and-switch company All Star Camera. DO NOT under any circumstances order from this company.
I placed an order for a Canon HV20 on the company's website, since it was priced new at $299, about $150-$200 less than refurbished models. A few days later, I got an email telling me to call in to confirm my order (red flag). When I called, the "salesperson" tried very hard to sell me a spare battery for $150 or an "extended service plan" (which was probably no good) for $150. I declined, and he said my order would be arriving in 7-10 days. Almost immediately after hanging up, I got an email telling me the camera was backordered. I called to try to resolve the issue only to find they were "backordered" on all Canons and had no idea when they'd be getting more.
This is a very common scam. There never was any HV20 for $299. I canceled my credit card just to be safe. Do a google search for "All Star Camera" if you want to learn more. I am just posting to add "Closeout Genius" to the list of aliases.
"Did not get email confirmation on the next day, so I cancelled order. Few days later, illegal charges for Sprint/Nextel were made to my credit card. BEWARE! "
"This company is a fraud. They advertise products at a very low price, but will not sell them to you unless you couple your purchase with a "higher" margin accessory. When you order only that low priced product (like a GPS unit), they will take the order online. Then they call you back to confirm your order while trying to sell you a "higher" margin product. If you don't buy this higher margin product, they send you and e-mail stating that the product is on backorder. They will not sell you the product. Don't buy ANYTHING from this product."
"After considering different types of HD video cameras and reading professional and regular consumer reviews and watching videos, I was comfortable choosing the Canon Vixia HV30 but not so smart in choosing a seller. So after falling prey to one of those buy-low-but-not-really camcorder sellers (Close***Genius [to be billed as Wholesale Gen***]) with the same M.O. as OnTime******* [google Thoughts Dave digital] (email to call and confirm order, up sell for lens and batteries, back order, is/not in stock, hung up on me, based in "Vegas" but have Brooklyn accent, etc.) ...I found this site where I could read reviews on ecompanies and also dozens of complaints on this type of above-mentioned operation. So I canceled the order (receiving immediate email conformation) and changed the number on my credit card...a few days later when my new card came in, I restarted the search process for another company.
While the main item is underpriced, the extras are not. How these people stay in business is a mystery. They deserve a -10 rating. "
"I found what appeared to be the best deal on the Internet for a Garmin Nuvi 265WT. Ordered online only to get an email to call to "confirm" the purchase by phone the following day. That was an opportunity for an amateurish attempt to upsell me on accessories I did not want for three times what I could get them for elsewhere. When I would not buy the extras, the representative got short with me and hung up. Two minutes later I received an email telling me my purchase was "backordered 2-3 weeks." As others have written, I canceled the order and my credit card number. I'm not saying they would not have delivered the item I ordered, but the business scheme appears to be unethical, in my view. Beware."

"Unfortunately I didn't find this site until after I ordered. I called to "confirm" the order only to be given a sell job for extras I didn't need or want. The rep told the item would ship immediately. No sooner did I hang up, I got an email saying the item was on back order and would be delayed 2 - 3 weeks. I called back immediately to speak to a customer service rep and they told me they "just learned" the item was on backorder ... sorry. CLICK"
