reply posted Sep-26-2012 “Thank you for taking the time to rate us. You are partially correct. We did advertise the HP Touchsmart on our Deal Spot exclusive a few days ago. We dropped the ball and let you and several of our other customers down. I apologize for that. The reason we could not fill all of our customers orders was human error, mine.
The product code was created the same day as the event and the human, me, did not check a button in our system that sets a parameter for that item to not allow backorders, thus avoiding these types of issues. I know it is of little consolation to you or our other customers whose orders we couldn’t fill that day. I am truly sorry that we were not able to satisfy you and each and every one of our customers.
We have asked our programmers to create a program that will display stock availabilty on our daily deals page that should nip this issue in the bud.
Please be assured that it was not an attempt to harvest credit card information. We are a PCI compliant ecommerce business. Being PCI compliant allows us to make sure our customer’s payment card data is being kept safe throughout every transaction, and that they – and you – can have confidence that they're protected against the pain and cost of data breaches. Our merchant provider, Authorize.net only provides us with a transaction number, approval code and the last 4 numbers of the credit card number used to make the purchase.
On a separate note, not brought up by you, but by another customer is that we were attempting to collect email addresses for our newsletter database. Not the case. While we cannot delete a customer account from our database, (part of being PCI compliant) customers do have the option to check out anonymously or create an account on our site without opting in for our newsletter and promos.
Again, please accept my sincerest apology and I hope that we have the opportunity to earn your business in the future.

You purchased this laptop from us on 10/14/2011, about 10 months ago. Our records indicate you have not contacted us regarding these issues stated in your review. We are confident that the issue could have been remedied to your satisfaction if we were contacted.
We have not and do not imply that this refurbished laptop came with or comes with a 1 year warranty. The HP laptop you purchased from us includes our standard 90-day warranty and our spot on promise to you that we will gladly accept product exchanges or returns for refund within 30 days of the receipt of shipment, for just about any reason other than blatant abuse or negligence by the customer. We think that’s fair and reasonable. We want happy customers. Who doesn’t?
Let’s address the refurbishment process. Yes, Cheetah Deals is a subsidiary of Seneca and Revonate, the refurbishment arm of Seneca located in LiverPool, NY. This information is readily available on our website in the “about us” section.
Our facility utilizes the latest technology and employs top notch certified technicians that run a complete diagnostic of the system before repair and repackaging. We are one of the few reverse logistics companies that still operate right here in United States. We do not and have no plans to outsource our refurbishment business across the border or overseas. All of our technicians are employed and located in the USA.
The product found on our site is sourced through various contracts awarded to us by different manufacturers, distributors and major retailers. In fact, the majority of PC manufacturers rely on companies like us to remanufacture their goods. In most cases it is more cost effective for them and results in lower prices for consumers like you.

"Ordered an APC UPS with supposed FREE SHIPPING from their site. I needed the APC UPS for work, and we needed it quickly for an install.
Unfortunately, they took a VERY long time to process the order. In addition, they would NOT honor the free shipping advertised on their website, and that I had listed on my completed order.
Here is a copy of the email I received:
Unfortunately the shipping information on this unit was incorrect. We are looking to ship your unit out tomorrow. The unit is 120lbs. Due to the size of the unit we need to change the shipping method, and use a freight carrier rather than UPS. We will also need to readjust the shipping cost. I have two options to offer to correct this.
The cost to ship this unit is $150. This is just regular shipping with R&L freight carrier. If we were to ship this method it would take 4 days to receive. If we use this method we are able to keep the cost for you the same. We will take care of the additional shipping costs.
To ship the unit with 2nd day air shipping, it would cost much more. This option you are getting your unit in 2 days however we are unable to take on this additional costs. If you would like to use this option to ship we will need to charge you for the additional cost of $200.

Unfortunately I was on the hook for the UPS, so I had to pay them an ADDITIONAL $150 ABOVE MY ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE to get them to ship the UPS. I still looked like an idiot to my boss because the price I had told him was no longer valid.
