"I had to wait 20 minutes inline for service, and when I finally got connected, the call dropped. I called back again and finally got someone, maybe there is something wrong with their connection. I had to return a phone and I got a refund in no time."

"Mislead customer with wrong specification.
I placed and order for Jabra BT2040 Bluetooth Headset and received the item on time. Specification of the item on CellHut site shows it takes AAA size battery, which is incorrect. It takes AAAA size battery (new type). When called customer service, they won't agree that it is wrong. They won't take it back without re-stocking fee and I have to pay for shipment!!
The item is useless for me as AAAA size battery is not easily available. I cannot use my re-chargable AAA battery, which was my strong point for choosing the item.
Don't belive thier specs, verify with other sites"

“Dear customer,

Please accept our deepest regrets that you encountered trouble with your order. At Cellhut.com we strive to maintain a high level of excellence in our customer service department.
We never had wrong specs for this product, this headset only takes AAAA size battery. So, that was your point for choosing re-chargeable AAA battery which is eventually not compatible with this headset.
We look forward to you doing business with us and give our customer service center a call to sort out any queries you have at 1 -888-235-8255.
Thanks, Cellhut.com

"A great junk shop to shop with.
I ordered 2 mobiles and both went directly to trash. i totally wasted 200$ by shopping with these guys. Poor customer service .I ordered thru online and they put my order for hold fore more than 10 days. I called and asked to cancel the order then they asked me to wait for 2 more days so that they will buy some kit to make the phone to talk in English.
Then after 2 days they send me the phone and it talked in some other language I couldn’t able to figure out what language it is.

Then I called them and I informed about the problem. They again asked to do some procedure for “Risk management “like updating the story online like that. I did that that too. As a consequence I received a RSA number and I put the number inside and send back the package (I paid for the shipping also). But they rejected the package. It was a very bad experience from my side .I will never ever buy from this ppl.

The product quality is also very bad. I ordered motorola razr v3i but it was like a real junk phone. Actually I had the same phone from T-mobile it was really great.

Never ever buy anything from this shop even it is for free also

“Dear test104,

We apologize for the service that you received. The hold-time that you experienced through our customer service is inexcusable, thank you for alerting us to the problem. You also waited for too long to receive your language kit.
When you received the RMA number, the instructions are to tap on the outside of the box, so that we are sure that it is property of Cellhut. Also this way the package can be sent to the right department in a hurry.
The products that we ship out are of great quality and nothing leaves our warehouse without a recommendation from our distributor. Please call us so we may update you about the status of the package 646-200-5000

Thanks,
Cellhut

"I received my phone from CellHut today and, unlike they state in their "on hold" message it was NOT "directly from the manufacturer" but from a service provider (Vodafone). The phone was NOT unlocked as it was advertised to be and I cannot use it.

I spoke with a customer service representative (after holding for 19 minutes) and was told that due to their business volume that their suppliers occasionally make a mistake and send them a branded, locked phone by mistake. It should have been obvious to them, as the phone they sent me was in a Vodafone box, that they were sending me a locked phone. The customer service rep told me to return the phone to them (apparently at MY expense for THEIR mistake and that they would either refund my money or replace the phone. They can rest assured that I will be asking for a refund as I have no further desire to do business with them. I am currently waiting for an RMA number to be emailed to me (it has been well over an hour so far).

CellHut states that they strive to provide excellent customer service but this has been one of the poorest online experiences for me, ever:

1. Incorrect item was sent, and I am expected to pay shipping back to them for their error.
2. Loooong hold time to speak to a customer service rep.
3. Their policy (not stated on their site) of not only requiring signature on delivery, but not allowing me to pick up my package at UPS on my schedule. This alone would prevent me from ever buying from them again, even if all else had gone well.

Caveat emptor!"

“Dear HDon:

Rest assured that we are doing our best to overcome these problems within our system. It is unfortunate that you were on the receiving end of an incorrectly shipped item, and we hope it doesn't give you a bad impression about our company. We do everything we can to make sure that the products we send out are exactly what the customer ordered.

The reason we charge a restocking fee is because in the past we have been scammed by too many people, who have taken advantage of the fact that we didn't charge one

We at Cellhut take fraud cases very seriously and this is why we only allow customers to receive packages if they are signed for them. We have had to deal with too many fraud orders that were able to pick up their orders from UPS after ordering with someone else's credit card.

We are sorry for the trouble that your order with us has caused and we ask that you bear with us as we constantly update our system to allow for speedier and more secure orders.

Thanks, Cellhut”

"After trying to buy a cell phone from NewEgg and getting the run around, I looked for a new store to purchase my cell phone. I guess maybe NewEgg has gotten too big too fast because it took them all day (over 5 hours)just to verify my billing and ship to address and by that time it was too late to ship.

I called CellHut to see if they could ship out the same day Friday and have it delivered on Saturday (Nokia 8801). They said they could so I ordered. Sure enough, after placing the order, I received a confirmation E-mail that said they had verified me credit card info, and that was within 20 minutes of placing the order. Later that day, I received an E-mail confirmation that my order had shipped along with a tracking number. Sure enough, I received my package bright and early Saturday.

Thanks go out to CellHut for fine service and when I called, I could get to a person without too much delay."

"I've got to admit that I've browsed ratings for sellers (and resellers) for several years, but I've never been motivated before to leave a comment here.

However, my recent experience with CellHut.com has provided the motivation. This has to be one of the worst experiences that I have had buying online. You would be better buying from just about anyone else - try Tiger Direct, Newegg, etc. [Even a local store!]

My problem was that they sent me a used RAZR phone (with numbers even programmed into the memory) that had a broken USB/charging port. It was difficult to get through to them. When I did, they agreed with me about a refund and directed me to their website. Getting an RMA number through the website turned out to require that I leave my phone number blank on the request page on their website! So, this process took a couple of phone calls/attempts (with fairly long intervals on hold each time) to get back to a live person. Why they wouldn't then just give me an RMA number (after asking for my order number) is still a mystery to me.

When I finally got the RMA information, the only suggestion (automated) was that the phone could be exchanged. This did not agree with their other info, which allowed for a refund. In addition, from the time the RMA was issued, there was only 7 days allowed to get the phone back to NY (FedEx or UPS, insured, being specified). This required $17 with UPS to return a broken phone from California to NY! During this process, I wrote them 3 letters (e-mailed) asking for clarification about the refund. None were answered.

At this point, they have had the returned phone for over a week. There have been no communications from them. And I have now blocked the charge on my credit card. The credit card company will probably get back to me for more details, but my account has been credited by them. However, CellHut.com deserves a big black mark for their misrepresentation of a product they sold, total lack of responsiveness (indifference) to a problem, and their ability to create a system sure to only frustrate their clients.

Do yourself a favor - buy from someone else.

"Sent a faulty cellphone. According to the cell hut Representative the cellphone model seems to be faulty but it appears still to be on the site. Had to ship it back with my money. No reply to my questions on shipping costs. Unprofessional.
---------------
I returned the phone and see that it was received on May 30th. I do not see any refund till now.
I spent more than 20 minutes on hold to talk to cellhut rep. That makes a total of 2 hours on phone for this disaster of a order.

At first i thought it was an isolated case where i felt you do not care about business. I call back after seeing the resellerratings.com reply "Please give us a call at 1-877-235-8255 so we may reconcile the errors." . That was joke waiting on hold and talking to just know that my refund has not been processed even after the phone was received 7 days ago.
I am extremely disappointed."

"Good deals and pretty low prices make this a website to beat. I needed a cool Motorola device and got one within a couple days of my order. This place sure is fast. Took a long time to get to the customer service line, but other than that, it was ok."
