"I purchased a desktop from them as a Christmas gift. They sent it and it arrived 2 days before. We set it up, turned it on, and the windows screen would not start up. We turned it off, waited a few minutes, turned it on again, no windows. We turned it off a third time, when we turned it back on we hit F10 so that we could restore it to factory settings. When that came up, we ran it through the steps. When that was done, it went to the windows start page, however, we got no new user setup. We turned it off for the day thinking that it had corrected itself. The next morning, we turned it back on only to get a black screen. We turned it off, turned it back on. I finally contacted CedarPC and requested a replacement. The approved my RMA request. I sent it back, they sent me a replacement. When the replacement got here, it did the exact same thing as the first machine. I didn't have any more patience with this, so I asked for a return shipping label, and a refund. My second RMA was approved, I sent the second machine back. I did get a refund, however they deducted the 15% as a restocking fee saying that there was nothing wrong with the item. This is a huge scam on their part, sending machines that don't work and making money by charging a restocking fee....$45 a pop! HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT BUYING FROM THEM."

"I found a good price on a pc part so I thought I'd give Cedar PC a chance. I also told a friend of mine about the good price I got, so he also took a look around there and bought a different item. We both had our orders cancelled. My advice would be, if their inventory says they only have a few of something left, assume they have none. They did send out the cancellation notice within 24 hours, which I did appreciate, but I won't be returning to cedarpc.com and I definitely won't be recommending them to any more friends. "

"Bought a used iMac. When I received the box, it was missing the keyboard and mouse. I eMailed Cedarpc and requested additional parts. Received an eMail back stating that the product comes without both. When I told them I have screen shot of item listing that the keyboard and mouse were included they wrote me back and said I could return the full pc for another but I would be charged 15% restocking fee and another $52 shipping. Stay away."

"I recently purchased an Iomega 1TB Prestige Desktop HDD from CedarPC. The shipping was very quick from VA to CA, but when I received the product the box was already open. There was a sticky note on the box that said "New Open Box", not sure what that means. It looked like the hard drive was previously handled. I tried connecting the hard drive to my laptop but it was unable to be detected. I used the manufacturer's website and followed through all of the troubleshooting steps. Still, the hard drive did not work and I narrowed it down to the hard drive being defective. The USB port on the hard drive was also slightly indented, as if it was not designed correctly. I contacted the Chantilly office, where I spoke to a CSR who could not help me with my exchange/return at all. Told me to fill out an RMA, and that was the only advice he could give me. I paid $11 for shipping and handling, and read on the website that I will most likely have to pay return shipping and handling. I am not very happy with the service thus far with CedarPC.

Update - I will not receive a refund on shipping or my return shipping. I spent $23 to receive a defective item and return it, and I will not be compensated for that money. I would highly recommend shopping somewhere else, such as tigerdirect.com."

"I shopped at a couple of traditional brick and mortar stores first to compare and find the right product. Then, when I knew what I wanted and searched Google shopping for the best price. Cedar PC was the first functioning site with the best price (about $70 savings over office max and staples even after shipping.) The item was described as brand new in original packaging and it arrived in a reasonable amount of time in the exact condition stated. The HP laser printer works great and I have all of the comforts that come from a genuine HP one year factory warranty. Thank you cedar pc."

"I would never have gone there if I read these reviews before head over there. It did cost me about 10$ for nothing in about 40 mins. They said that it costs them to put back an open box, old item on the shelf when customers return products. "
