"I am not satisfied at all with my recent purchase through the authorized seller "camera for less". I ordered a specific camera battery and instead received a slightly different model. When I contacted the company to find out why, they just wanted to argue whether the battery they shipped was compatible. It is, in fact, not compatible with my camera, and we continued to go back and forth on this issue. Regardless, they should not have made the assumption that it would be compatible. The fact that they did not contact me prior to shipping the wrong product makes me think they were trying to rip me off. I finally just said I wanted to return the product for a refund and they kept trying to just send the correct battery. Well, too late. I have decided to take my business elsewhere. When I stated that I expected a full refund, they said they would have to "talk with the manager" because their policy is to charge a restocking fee. I refused to pay this since this was their mistake from the beginning. It is too soon to know if I will get the full refund, but I will not be doing business with this company again!"

"BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!! COMPANY IS A SCAM, FRAUD!!! Purchased a New Lithium Ion Battery from them and received an old, dirty, not functioning product. When I tried to contact owner, DAve, he said that I shouldn't be upset over a battery, that battery is new and working - he had the nerve to deny the obvious and said that I have to pay for the postage if I want a refund, when he is the one who sent me an Old, dAMAGED PRODUCT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL BE SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR MONEY - BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I ordered a used camera, online, from cameraforless.com which was described as having minor scratches. I was told i would receive it in 7 days, I was not given a tracking number and the item took more than a month to arrive. I called customer service 8 times before anyone answered my call and no one ever returned any of my messages. Customer service was very rude, unorganized and unprofessional. When i did receive the camera it had very bad scratches and a damaged exterior. I tried to return the camera but was just argued with and told: "all that matters is that it works..it's a tough business we run."I finally got a store credit for $50, after being told how much he had paid for the camera and how their equipment gets banged around in there warehouse. Please do yourself a favor and Do not shop here if you can help it, it's not worth the aggravation. "

"Fraud! Prompt delivery to get rid of defective item.
Tried to contact them via phone numbers but none working! and no address on their web site. Wonder why? Email replies only if you have questions they will answer immidiately, but if need to return they do NOT reply to your emails. There is no customer satisfaction like on their company policy."

"Ordered a Canon SD630 on April 1. It arrived April 4th. They called me because I had entered the wrong expiration date on the CC, I gave them the correct one and they ran it while I was on the phone and said everything was fine.

They had a very good price on this camera, ordering was easy, they took care of the little problem and sent it out fast. Definitely would recommend."

"I recently bought 2 "new" Olympus C-7000 cameras from them. First of all they ignored all email for 2 weeks, then refused to deliver to the shipping address in the US for no reason.

When the cameras arrived there was no paperwork with them (receipt, packing slip, nothing). They have taken a craft knife to the box to remove the "refurbished" label, and in other places colored over it in black pen. The warranty card has been cut in half so that the warranty bit is missing, only the return address in case there is a problem.

THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS"

"I bought an Olympus digital camera from Cameras for Less and received a used camera, scratched and in generic box. After talking with them we agreed to exchange for a different camera, which turned out to be used and in a generic box (c’mon guys, I can tell original packaging). I ended up disputing the credit card transaction, then got a refund, minus restocking. Too much trouble to keep arguing. I’ve made probably 30-40 online purchases of audio, video and camera gear in the last five years and always had good results… until this mess."

"BUYERS BEWARE!

We ordered the Panasonic PV-DV53 advertised at $282.90 on 11-17-03. We received a confirmation of this price and the order on the same day. On 11-19-03, we got an E-mail to call the company (our expense, long distance.)

On 11-20-03, I called and after a number of holds, was given a salesman. When he began a pitch, I explained that our budget was strained for this gift, and that we would not be buying anything additional. At that time, he informed me that there was an error in the pricing, "Not our fault." If I wanted the camera, it would be $35.00 more.

When I complained, he hung up on me. On a subsequent call, I cancelled the order, although he claimed that the order had never gone through and that we had never been charged. I hope that this is the case.

Since the advertised pricing on this camera remains (and is as of this writing) $282.90 (the price they claimed was an error), I find it difficult to believe that there was an actual error.

I would urge potential buyers to consider my problem before ordering.

"I bought an Olympus c-5050z as NEW for $574.90 in June 2003.
When it needed repair, Olympus told me that it was a REFURBISHRD camera and the REFURBISHED warantee had expired. I am now looking into what action I can take against them."

"have paid Nikon lens 24-120mm USD 381.28 and never got item or money back.
Payment was done through Paypal for lens order confirmation # 1359. Promised me several times that lens was sent, didn't never tell AWB # and finally they said lens was lost and would return money. Haver never received money back.

Don't buy by this retailer. It's a big FRAUD only.
Will go to police soon.

Regards,
Harald"

"Extremely shady. They list cameras as being brand new, factory sealed but when my 5700 arrived and I got suspicious and called Nikon it turned out to be refurbished. They denied this up and down and never finally came clean and admitted it. They also list accessories to buy for your Nikon 5700 and one of them is a 3 year warranty for $48. Great, I thought, and added that to my cart. It is a warranty for a camera under $500. I am in the process of fighting them to try and get the correct one (for a camera under $1,000).
All in all the worst company I have dealt with."
