I ordered a used camera, online, from cameraforless.com which was described as having minor scratches. I was told i would receive it in 7 days, I was not given a tracking number and the item took more than a month to arrive. I called customer service 8 times before anyone answered my call and no one ever returned any of my messages. Customer service was very rude, unorganized and unprofessional. When i did receive the camera it had very bad scratches and a damaged exterior. I tried to return the camera but was just argued with and told: "all that matters is that it works..it's a tough business we run."I finally got a store credit for $50, after being told how much he had paid for the camera and how their equipment gets banged around in there warehouse. Please do yourself a favor and Do not shop here if you can help it, it's not worth the aggravation.

Fraud! Prompt delivery to get rid of defective item.
Tried to contact them via phone numbers but none working! and no address on their web site. Wonder why? Email replies only if you have questions they will answer immidiately, but if need to return they do NOT reply to your emails. There is no customer satisfaction like on their company policy.

Ordered a Canon SD630 on April 1. It arrived April 4th. They called me because I had entered the wrong expiration date on the CC, I gave them the correct one and they ran it while I was on the phone and said everything was fine.
They had a very good price on this camera, ordering was easy, they took care of the little problem and sent it out fast. Definitely would recommend.

I recently bought 2 "new" Olympus C-7000 cameras from them. First of all they ignored all email for 2 weeks, then refused to deliver to the shipping address in the US for no reason.
When the cameras arrived there was no paperwork with them (receipt, packing slip, nothing). They have taken a craft knife to the box to remove the "refurbished" label, and in other places colored over it in black pen. The warranty card has been cut in half so that the warranty bit is missing, only the return address in case there is a problem.
THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS

I bought an Olympus digital camera from Cameras for Less and received a used camera, scratched and in generic box. After talking with them we agreed to exchange for a different camera, which turned out to be used and in a generic box (c’mon guys, I can tell original packaging). I ended up disputing the credit card transaction, then got a refund, minus restocking. Too much trouble to keep arguing. I’ve made probably 30-40 online purchases of audio, video and camera gear in the last five years and always had good results… until this mess.

I purchased a Digital Camera from Camera For Less (on February 10th,2006) based on false advertising.
I was assured prior to my purchase, that they would send me a brand new Digital Camera and that it was not Used/Refurbished. Upon it’s arrival I noticed that it was undeniably a used camera. There are scratched and marks all over the camera, it is also very hard to slide open. In other words it is in much worse shape then a camera I purchased two years ago. To be sure I showed it to a professional photographer and he agrees, that Camera For Less sold me a used camera for the internet market price of a new Camera. I have tried to call regarding this and received no reply.

Reasonable prices and very fast shipment across the country. But I received a pretty well used digital camera instead of new and when asked, they told me they were out of stock and back ordered with three already. Their web site still showed the item as "in stock". The received camera had some deep scratches, worn off labels, and doodling on the inside of the box lid. I returned it and they refunded my money in about 15 days, but did not compensate me for close to $10 in shipping charges to sent back their junk. They respond to email pretty quickly but never pick up their phones - either toll free or New York local line. Their web site mentions secure ordering, but my Internet Explorer never showed https URL or the lock symbol near the systray. They are not truthful and their web site has no secure ordering certificate. I would stay away from these people and this company. I did buy the camera for about $35 dollars less including S&H at onecall.com and am pretty excited about it.

I told this vendor that I was unhappy with his continued posting of a camera as “in stock” when in fact he freely admitted that he was out. He responded, and this is a direct cut and paste from his email to me - “…if you rat us bad we will not ship it at all …”.
I don’t think you want to do business with a vendor who threatens his customers. I canceled my order immediately.
Other than that - Product pricing was good, not the best but close, they advertised “in stock” for my camera, that’s why I choose them even though their standard shipping costs were high at $26.13 and they added $7.79 for handling and insurance. Shipping at 35% less or more is common.
They also have a check box on the order form – “Wrap my order - $20”. What does that mean? … they intend to just send it in the manufacturer’s box if I don’t pay another $20? I never had the chance to find out.
Trying to reach them by phone was impossible. The number on their web page gave a recording “Voice Mail not Available” for all of the options.
They do however respond quickly to emails.
Two days after placing my order I asked why it wasn’t shipped. They said it would be in - in 2 days. I pointed out that they had advertised the camera as “in stock” and they tried to pass that off by claiming that someone bought the only camera two minutes before I placed my order. Nice try – except when I was talking to them, 2 days after placing the order, they were still showing it “in stock” and they hadn’t change it a week after our conversation.
This vendor could improve significantly by just being honest. I would have been better off placing my order with a vendor who was out-of-stock on my camera – I would have gotten it sooner and at a better price.
Also a general comment about all vendors – price shop the accessories. Some vendors with good camera prices will try to hit you up on the accessories. Many vendors charge well over $100 for a “Mach 5-year warranty for a Digital Camera under $500”. You can find vendors who sell the same warranty for under $40. Also don’t go with the regular SanDisk SD cards when you can get Kingston Elite Pro High-Speed SD cards (or the equivalent) for about the same price. The high-speed cards will make a difference in cutting down the recovery time between shots and the photo-geeks give Kingston good reviews.

Simple ordering process. Hoped to see the package in 3 days, expected 5, and it showed up in 2 !! I didn't have time to worry about tracking numbers or anything. I'm a rookie when it comes to on-line shopping but this was a very good experience. I'm very pleased with the product & price and will shop here again. I did not have a chance to interact with their customer service so I could not rate that but isn't that the point to begin with.

I was a little apprehensive to order on-line because of all problems that I've heard could occur - scams etc. But with Cameras For Less everything was fine. I placed my order using their user-friendly website and within a few days it arrived brand new and well packaged.

Everything was great except that according to the tracking I should have had my package delivered and it did not arrive. The next day I called UPS and they said they made an error but were not apologetic about it. I don't hold that against Cameras For Less but they should re-consider who they use to ship packages.

INTERNET FRAUD, DON'T BUY. This store, better said the person behind, came to the brilliant idea: to buy used and broken products, advertise them and sell them as new. In the case that the customers wants to return the product, they have to pay 15% restocking fee (and of course shipping and handling) or they are not even allowed to return it. The person, who registered that site is Silberstein Hershel. We ordered a Panasonic camcorder, that had great reviews on Amazon.com but it was out of stock, and the only place that offered new camera was Camera for Less. The camcorder we received was used, manual old, the box damaged. We returned it that same day. Camera for Less refused to take it. We returned it again. They refused to take it again. Would anyone who was defrauded by this company contact me at contact@blanka.us as I would like to take some action against the people who are behind.

I think Camerasforless online store is a trustworthy and efficient store. I have ordered Sony DSC-V1 in two other online shops but I was told that it was out of stock at the second day though it was shown as in stock when I ordered it. Then I turned to Camerasforless and I got it in 2 days by UPS. I am very satisfied with its service.
