"Bought a Pentax K-r from Camera Kings. The price was well below everyone else's, and the site said to call for expedited shipping for free. So I did. I placed the order: $589. I refused their idiotic hard sell of an "error free" SD card (for several times the price of a "normal" SD card and extended warranty and extra battery etc. etc. etc. Then at the end of the conversation I get hit with "so the total is $636" What? There's a 6% fee. Nobody told me that! "Well it's there on the website when you check out." "Yeah but your website said to call and place the order to get expedited shipping for free so I didn't check out on the website!" "Do you think you can get it cheaper somewhere else?" So I bought it; saved about $12 over Amazon.com. And it took several days longer to get here. If I'd been thinking I would have canceled and paid the $12 and gotten the camera from an honest and straightforward broker.The camera came, it's just fine (but the box was for a slightly different model and obviously had been opened - there was no evidence that the camera had been handled or used at all), and I'm relieved. However I will not do business with these shmucks again."
"Just bought a Canon 60D from Camera Kings. I paid for overnight shipping but they sent it with 2nd day service. The customer service rep said they only use whatever delivery service would get the package to the buyer in the estimated delivery time that Camera Kings set. This means that if they say it'll take 2 to 3 days for delivery and you paid for overnight, Camera Kings will ship the package with 2-3 day service. They charged me for a service I didn't receive. While not a huge loss of money, I wouldn't trust them."
"This is the worst company to buy a camera from. They're customer service is the worst and they just try to sell you more if you try to return anything. If you order a dozen items and wanted to return or exchange just one item they make you mail back the entire order. You are better off ordering from b and h. It is not worth it just to save a few extra bucks. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!!! Not to mention they add shipping and insurance fees that do not show up on your order until you get the receipt in the box and they've already charged your card. "
"I a bought Canon 7D body from www.camerakings.com for $1329 on 2/10/11 at 5am. I entered my cc info and submitted the order for 1333.99 (4.99 shipping)A 800-000-0000 number called me at 12 noon, but I ignored the call. It was camerakings.com telling me to call them back to verify the web order. I did so. I verified my address and the camera. The rep tried to up sell me, but I stood firm with NO. The total came to me as a surprise. 1329 for the body, 4.99 for the 4-7 day shipping, and a 79.74 processing fee. Totaling 1413.73. I politely balked at the 80.00 fee. The rep stated it was a common practice. I said I would call back at a later date.I have since read reseller ratings and various forums about camerakings.com and the MANY other names associated with it.I elected to cancel my order. The reason I gave, "Your company was not honest with it's pricing." The Reps. response, "Do you think you can find it cheaper than 1329?" The Rep. NEVER ANSWERED THE CHARGE OF DISHONESTY.Even with the total of 1413 is cheaper than anybody else. My TRUST IN THIS COMPANY WAS VIOLATED.Notes:My account history on the site made no mention of the amount spent. Under the 'order detail' tab for my order was 'coming soon...'The holding music seemed as if it was cut from another company. I made note of this before my problem arose.The rep was up selling 1 hour and 2 hour batteries. He said nothing of the mAh rating or frame count.Site never listed a physical address.800-000-0000 number. Not cool.I praise a good company, and call out a shady company. My trust was broken, and I walked.Here is the kicker! I ordered 3 items from bhphotovideo.com at the same time. B and H charged and shipped (free 3 day) by 3pm on the same day.****************Do you want your money going to a dishonest company?****************"
"PLEASE READ: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS MERCHANT OVER THE PHONE.I ordered my Canon Rebel T2i from CameraKings due to the great price ($100 cheaper than anywhere else). Everything went perfectly until I called to confirm my order to be shipped. The representative offered to include a high quality/speed SD card in the package. Being inexperienced (it was partly my mistake), I took the offer. When I received the order (fairly promptly), I looked up the SD card on Amazon.com and found it for about $80 cheaper. A little miffed at myself, I called CameraKings to see if I could return the SD card. They refused to return my SD card individually, EVEN THOUGH THE SD CARD HAD BEEN BILLED SEPARATELY. I was not about to send back the camera I had been waiting to get my hands on for 8 months. Ultimately, I had to settle for their attempt at 'customer satisfaction' by giving me a 3-year warranty (which covers NOTHING) and a $20 refund. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy anything from this merchant again.Final Review+Great price on the camera. Easy processing and prompt shipping. Customer service was patient but their policies overshadow this.-Ordering anything from this merchant over the phone is folly. This is a rather sketchy establishment and I am amazed that the rest of my order turned out correctly. "
"Since the last year I purchased with CameraKings 3 times. I never had any big problems with them and all the products came intact, brand new, and no problems.Always check the avaibility before buying trought the internet if you really need the item or can't wait too much time. In the past I had problems with them because in the website was available but when I call to confirm they told me to wait a couple days.The Good:- Prices: I was looking to get a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and they had for $2.044,00. And anywhere else was for $2.500. There is a lot of good deals.The Bad:- Shipping: really expensive compared to other websites and is not fast as BH or BestBuy. I don't feel condidence with the estimated delivery. - Customer service: In the past was worst. Rude and always talking in the rush... they got better. But still a pain in the ass trying to sell you batteries, memory cards and warranty. If I say that I don't need or I don't want, that's it! Stop pushing. Stop asking what I'm gonna do with the cameras, if I'm gonna sell them or use, or give to somebody.I'm gonna cancel my actual order because I was trying to use my international credit card and the lady at the billing departament was really impatient and rude. Come on I spent over 10k usd with you guys and still got treated as somebody else, and this was a $5k purchase. She should be more helpful. She couldn't confirm my items and tell me the difference between the shipping methods. Bad! Maybe I will buy with them someday because of the price. But at this time Eletric Avenue gave way better customer service and similar price, so they got the sale. Btw they should improve the website. "

"I have to admit that I was VERY wary of ordering a thousand dollars worth of Pioneer Elite SC-07 AV Receiver from an internet camera shop in Brooklyn, NY, what with all of the bad press Brooklyn internet camera shops have received lately, but I'm frugal, and their price was outstandingly low. I took the plunge and sweated bullets for 7 days, but UPS dropped this giant box on my doorstep on Friday. It was falling apart, but inside was about a million (well, maybe only a couple of hundred) plastic air pillows surrounding the manufacturer's box with my new receiver, which was in perfect shape. I did call to confirm my order as they asked, and managed to avoid the usual New York choke hold by the sales person. I did have to email Customer Support for my tracking number, but they responded next day. I'm totally happy with this transaction, and I LOVE my SC-07."
