I purchased an F15-3600 60-watt folding solar panel from Joe at California Peripherals earlier this month. My intent was to use this portable unit on top of the Bimini on my boat to replenish some of the energy used by the refrigerator, prolonging the effective use of the house batteries (the boat uses 2ea 27F 12v deep-cycle batteries for house current).

First, Joe answered any and all questions I had, and was brutally honest in every way. He took the time to fully understand what I was planning to do, and gave both feedback and suggestions. This helped greatly in re-assuring me that this expendature (the panel, with tax and freight, was just over $1,000) could be workable. I ordered and received the unit in just a few days.

I have just completed testing the performance of this system, and must report that the product exceeds my best expectations. By actual measurement, the panel, under moderate sun, produces sufficient power to counter not only the effect of the refrigerator, but that of the stereo, as well!
