"They were very nice when they called and the order did ship quickly. I received the computer, plugged it in, and never made it through the setup process. After several calls to Acer and many hours, we found the harddrive was bad. By bad I mean that so many sectors are bad on it that you can't format, restore, or even get diagnostics to run. I sent an email for an RMA two days ago but haven't heard back - mostly because they don't answer calls or emails on the weekend. Hopefully they will resend a good unit ASAP or issue a refund, after all, they sent me a defective machine."

"Ordered on 11/22/10, they charged my credit card immediately and I have heard nothing further. I have called numerous times (never reaching a live person) and have sent a number of emails, all receiving no response whatsoever. What is up with this company????"

"I called to place a rush order for an IBM Thinkpad laptop computer. I specifically asked the salesperson if the product would ship today and ordered it with early overnight delivery (before 10am) since I needed this product before leaving for a trip. They assured me that the product was in stock and would ship today and arrive tomorrow.

A few hours later I called back to check on the order. The customer service representative told me that it had been released to shipping and that was all she could tell me -- she said I should receive a call shortly with the shipping information.

I called again a few hours later and after several minutes waiting on the phone she came back and told me that shipping had told her that my order would most likely not ship today because they did not have enough units in stock.

I spoke to a manager who confirmed that while they did "have the product in stock", the units were all spoken for and there was nothing they could do to help me.

So even though I specifically had confirmation not only that the product was in stock but would be shipped to me via overnight delivery, they were unable to fulfill the order. I was left without the equipment I needed and without time to take any recourse.

First, they never should have taken my order. The salesperson should have told me honestly that he could not guarantee that the product would ship. Failing that, they still should have called me to notify me that they would not be able to ship the product as expected. If I had not called to confirm the order, I never would have known the product wasn't going to be shipped.

Lastly, it is my honest belief that they never had the product in stock. After a long conversation with the manager, he told me that they had 5 units in stock this morning and that 4 units shipped out at 8am. The last unit was due to ship out in the afternoon. If that were true then at a minimum 4 of those 5 units would already have shipped prior to when I placed my order which meant the in-stock quantity would have shown up as at most 1 unit. He told me they had several orders in front of mine as well, so even if he had more he still wouldn't be able to ship the unit.

The bottom line is that this company cost me thousands of dollars by failing to live up to their promises. They clearly do not follow reasonable procedures to ensure this type of problem doesn't occur. I believe they intentionally booked my order knowing they would not be able to fulfill it as required in hopes that I still wouldn't cancel it even if it were delayed. This type of behavior should not be accepted from any vendor."

"This company writes their own reviews. All the negative reviews are true. They misrepresent their inventory & don't provide tracking numbers. I ordered equipment 12 days, 8 business days ago & still haven't received the equipment or tracking number. Don't get caught by the low prices, it's not worth the headache!!!"

"I am writing because I purchased a Toshiba laptop, order number 76528, from your company on May 25th. At that time, my credit card was charged $603.00. Included in this price was a promise that I would receive the computer within 5 - 7 business days. Therefore, I would have received the computer by June 4th at the latest. Instead, the computer was not mailed until June 9th. After calling the company to complain, I was promise a $15 reimbursement as well as receipt of the computer by Tuesday, June 15. I was also told that a manager would call me by Wednesday the 16th. I stated that if this did not happen, I would call the BBB. The computer arrived on Thursday, June 17th, I did not receive the reimbursement, and I have yet to hear from a manager. As a result of these issues, I filed a claim to the Better Business Bureau, #98530886.

I am now asking for a full refund. Again, the computer arrived on the 15th. After using it for less than 4 hours on Friday the 16th, I received an error message stating that the computer's cooling system is not working and to bring it in for service. In other words, I was sent a late, broken computer.

I am asking for a full reimbursement on the computer. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Ever."

"I haven't never had such a rude costumer service like this website. The way they talk to you like sh*t. They don't care. I saw the price in the website is cheaper than others place about $400. But when I place my order. They send me a confirmation email with a different price. I call and ask them, they tell me they can change the price to whatever they want. I really don't know what kind of costumer service is that. I ask them to cancel my order. They tell me I will be charged 15% "bank fee". I never hurt about this before. I ask them did they delivery my order yet. They tell me to email them, then the guy hang up on me. Do not try to order from this website. "

"I was just about to join the frey in damning California Computer Center, when FedEx walked in and delivered my product right on time, just as promised by CCC. They absolutely came through!

It was beginning to look and smell like some of the other situations listed here. My card was immediately charged, there was no update beyond that fact on my "order status", and no shipping confirmation.

I had ordered product which NEEDS to be installed today, with both my staff and my customer's staff in place and waiting to do so.

I had ordered delivery with expedited 2-day shipping, was told the product was being shipped directly from the manufacturer's warehouse. And... today is BLACK FRIDAY (Thanksgiving). While waiting for a truck I was beginning to believe wasn't coming, I read the other reviews here and became very much convinced our effort was doomed.

And then, moments ago, our network switch arrived. Right product, right day, right time.

I'm sorry (NOT) to not fit in with the other situations depicted here, and believe me, I was ready and expecting to join those ranks.

There it is folks: A picture perfect performance in spite of possibly adverse shipping and fulfillment challenges. Our customer is happy and we are happy for it.

Oh, and YES, California Computer Center was also the best price we found for this product. "

"What an aweful company. I was ordering a Tohsiba Pocket PC and the order had to be processed within 2 days or I wouldn't be elligible for a rebate. I ordered the Pocket PC from them, explained the situation, and they told me the product was in stock and it would go out the next day. When I called the following day I was told that they accidentally didn't even process the order! To top it off they had apparently sold their stock. As a result I had to scramble to find somebody that would sell me the Pocket PC and still meet my rebate requirements. SUMMARY: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!"

"Could had never thought of that terrible service. 6 months ago I ordered two laptop batteries from them with overnight (or nex day) delivery. After 5(!) days had a call from them saying that one of the items is out of stock.
Two weeks ago I placed the same order and left a note that I REALLY want to be sure that they have the item in stock (I'm foreigner so I had just two weeks to spend in the USA). Finally after two weeks(!) today I received the package that contained..... just ONE battery! I called them and was told that they don't have the other battery (the same that they didn't have half a year ago) in stock! It was shocking! They exactly knew that they lied to me even when they shiped my order with the only battery (may be one of them is invisible).
And they charged me for two of them.
Very very bad!
Never shop there!"

"Possible misuse of BBB Seal on their web page. Do not follow common business standards. Confirmed the order and then cancelled the order because they don't accept non-US/Canada credit cards. That information is missing on their web site. They don't pay the service needed for the clearing house to check international credit cards. "
