Cancelled order was not cancelled
"After several delays due to back order (as in, back order date came and went, then a new back order date appeared) for one piece of equipment I needed in a timely manner, I went with a different company. I requested that Chief's Supply cancel my order. They confirmed that they cancelled the order. A month later... BLAM! Paypal alerted me that they charged my account. I immediately filed a claim dispute. As of this authoring paypal has sent them multiple emails attempting to contact them with no success. Today the order arrived. I want to send it back, but no one is there to assist me to return it. Hopefully paypal just refunds the money and I can return the item and be done with this terrible company.Run away people, run away from this company."
Return procedure is as bad as their overall service
"Our fire dept placed an order and several days later received an email that the items (5) had shipped. Am week later we received one item and we called to learn the other items were on back order. Finally after several weeks we received two more items and called AGAIN. We were told that a shipping notice had been sent to the warehouse and that we should receive the last two items in several days. We asked that Chief furnish us with a tracking # and we then received an email letting us know the items had finally shipped and were provided with a tracking #. One of the items was damaged due to poor packaging and a return auth. was requested. Our tracking # verified that the item was returned on Oct. 5th. On Oct. 12 we inquired about the refund. On Oct. 25 we checked and were told q refund had been auth. on OCT 12 th and that our bank was to blame. Contacted the bank and learned nothing was received from Chief. Called Chief and got the extension # for finance to request a check. Left a msg. on voice mail at 9 AM. It's now 2:30 PM and have not heard back. BE WARNED-TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! "

"I placed an order on the 19th of September, and over a month later, it has still not arrived. I believe the company's website is detached from reality. All items were said to be shipped with in 5-7 business days on the website. Once I placed the order, (in excess of $100.00) I discovered that two of the three items were on back order and wouldn't be shipped from the manufacturer to Chief's warehouse until the 21st of October !. Had I known this I would have traded the lower price at Chief's for timely delivery from one of their competitors. One up side to this was whole ordeal, was that one of the items was shipped directly from the manufacturer. I received it within the 5-7 business days advertised. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY ! "
"This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 37 years of life. Took over for months to receive my order which would of never been sent even though they did infact have full payment. I was blatantly lied to numerous times on the phone. If it was worth my time and effort I would sue this company just to have them shut down. Please do yourself a favor and do not give these people your business."
"I ordered a specialty gift for my mom and when I didn't receive the order 3 weeks later (online it says its shipped within 5 to 7 business days) I called to see what the hold up was. Not only was the order not completed but they weren't going to do it at all! They said they weren't allowed to do personal orders and that they sent an email asking for official permission-which they did not. I received the other 2 emails from them but this 3rd one just suddenly doesn't show up??? So I wait 3 weeks for a birthday gift-no call no nothing and now I can't give it to her. Terrible TERRIBLE customer service! Never recommending these people and I never write bad reviews but buyers be warned! "

"Ordered equipment for my son’s graduation from the police academy. Only half the order was shipped. Inquiries to customer service were made by telephone (voice mail left) and the “leave a message” contact option on their website. Neither inquiry received a response. Remainder of the order is still pending after graduation. Company is unreliable. Will never deal with them again. "

"I ordered a pair of BDU shorts from these guys. They gave me a 15% off coupon code for a first time customer and it worked like a charm. I saved about $4 over everywhere else. They shipped immediately and I got my item in four days. Very nice, will shop with them again. "
"Ordered over $300 in supplies from these guys on NOVEMBER 29th, as Christmas presents. Everything listed as 'in stock' on the website. On December 8th, NINE DAYS after placing the order and having heard NOTHING from these guys, I sent an email to inquire what was up. The seller responded that 1/2 the order was out of stock with no clear availability date, and asking if I wanted to split ship the order, so the in stock items (what a surprise they had any by now) could ship. I told the company, YES, these are Christmas presents. Please ship. On December 10th I received a shipping notice from them. Nice. Then the real problems started. Using the tracking number they provided, I noticed that the item was not moving. A label had been printed, and an origin logical scan was recorded, but no UPS physical scan to show the item was actually on the way. I waited. And waited. I put a UPS trace on the item on December 17th, as there was still no sign of the package actually existing. I contacted the seller by email and phone. They stated it would arrive by Saturday. I asked about the other items and was told that there was no way to know when they would ship out. I had to file a Paypal claim to get resolution. I am extremely disappointed in Chief's customer service. If you plan to order from them, you will have to call and speak to a person who will have to go and put their hands on the item to be sure it is there, and then you will have to pay extra for reliable shipping. Keep that firmly in mind before you order from them. And if you are ordering gear on any kind of deadline, forget about using them."

"Absolutely terrible customer service! Do not order from this company! I ordered and my confirmation email said 5-10 days. After15 days i emailed and received an automated response stating I'd be contacted in 48 hours. After a week, I called and was on hold for 30 minutes before talking to a service rep. She informed that my items were on back order and she would get right back to me after checking on them. Another week passes, nothing . I published a poor review on yelp and suddenly my items are on the way... Never again!"
"Hopefully everything is in stock. I bought three pairs of pants through the "Buy 2 Pairs, Get 1 Free" Christmas promotion. Instead of giving you just one free, they discount all items by 33.33%. This is fine unless any of the items are out of stock. Once they returned to stock over a month later, Chief fulfilled the order but instead charged full price for the product since the payment method is not charged until the product ships. I emailed Chief Supply 3 times while waiting for my product and never received a response."

After a week and still not shipped I emailed them every day to cancel my order with no response I get an email saying I should have seen the boots were not in stock when I ordered that was a lie no were did it say not in stock, if it was out of stock I would have went somewhere else.
