"Holiday Buyers Beware!

Buydig.com billed my credit card and then did Not ship the product. They are still refusing to either ship the product or to give me a refund.

Having made several attempts to contact Buydig.com, someone who only gives the first name of Nancy constantly sends back the same stock replies.

The tracking number issued, clearly shows that the product never left the buydig.com premises. Buydig.com is treating me as a criminal when clearly the package was never shipped!

I am left wondering if they ever had stock of the item and whether they are just using this as a ploy to take my money and keep me hanging until whenever they get stock.

My credit card company has now taken up the matter and issued an immediate refund whilst the dispute is investigated by them. Thank you for credit card protection!

Buydig.com forced me to purchase the product from another online store. I paid $15 less at PCNation and they included 3 day shipping for free. (Which I now need since this item is a birthday gift)

This was not my first purchase from buydig.com, but it is most certainly my last!"

"Unless you have endless patience and time to spare, don't bother trying to save money by buying from buydig. Here's my frustrating chronology:

1. I placed my order on 1/9. I called to make sure the item (Nikon D60 with 18-55, 55-200 VR lenses) was in stock. The website also said it was in stock and would ship in 1-2 business days.

2. I received an email on 1/11 saying I had to verify order, which I did via email. This email mentioned nothing about my order being out of stock or backordered.

3. On 1/13, I got email that said "the order should ship out shortly."

4. On 1/16, the status of my order online still said "in progress", so I called and the customer service representative said the item wasn't backordered, it just was out of stock, but would definitely ship 1/16 or Monday 1/19. He said the reason they didn't contact me was b/c by the time they contacted me, it would be on its way to me.

5. I received an email about an hour later that same day, 1/16, stating that my order was back ordered, so I emailed to see which was true - that it was shipping like the customer service rep told me or if it was backordered like the email said.

6. On 1/18, I received an email saying that the customer service rep was correct and my order would be shipped ASAP. When I checked online, it said my order was ready to ship, so I assumed that since the customer service rep told me /16 or 1/19, it would ship 1/19.

7. On 1/19, I checked and the status of my order had gone backwards and was now "in progress" after having been ready to ship. Where did my item go - who knows? But apparently it became unready to ship.

8. On 1/20, I spoke to another customer service person who told me the rep who told me my order would ship on 1/16 or 1/19 was wrong and the item was backordered, but that the computer now showed that my item would definitely ship by 1/23.

9. Today, 1/23, I called and another customer service rep told me my order would definitely ship by tomorrow. Well, after being assured on several occasions that my order would definitely ship by a date that has since passed, I canceled my order.

I think if you are not in any rush and have endless patience with unprofessional people and are willing to deal with them to save about $20, then you'd probably eventually get your product, but I'd rather just order from a reputable store and know that I will get my product when it says it's going to come. "

"Originally, I had a horrible experience with buydig. However, a few days after the problems, a customer service person called and apologized for how how I was treated and said they were sending me a free camera bag and lens cleaning kit. I accepted their apology, and the free merchandise came yesterday. I was pleased this go around with buydig, but I'm still not sure I would purchase from them in the future. They did issue the credit to my credit card and did attempt to make amends, and for that I am thankful."

"Digital camera ordered Nov/10/2008, with second day delivery. Dec 04 and still not camera neither money refund. They said FEDEX lost the package on the way, and they are waiting for a claim, and looks like i have to wait for the FEDEX endless solution. It's the worse customer support I ever work with."

"I ordered a external hard drive. It arrived totally smashed and broken. The thing which annoyed me most is their web page statement that they check all packages before they ship it - ha - the outer box of the hard drive was already ripped apart, even a monkey could have figured out that what ever was inside that box was broke. But they shipped it anyway. I got the broken hard drive and obviously sent it back and never heard back from them. I did not receive an email or a call. I finally called them and after waiting for 10 minutes in the line someone told me that they refunded me and that they don't offer the drive anymore. Nice work!"

"Purchased a Samsung LN40A650 TV from this company. It arrive promptly and appeared to be in great condition when inspected, but upon setting up and plugging in it did not work. Would not power on at all. Immediately called BuyDig same day and they told me I would have to pursue the factory warranty through Samsung. Local Samsung technician came out and found the TV damaged internally and per the Samsung tech it had obviously been dropped. Contacted Buydig once again and after several conversations with several different reps they refused to replace the TV. Buyer BEWARE with this company when dealing with any sort of high ticket items!

Disputed the charge but have just been informed that I have lost my dispute, so now I am stuck with a T.V. that didn't work out of the box. At this point I am contacting consumer advocates at my local news stations as well as looking into possible legal options."

"Buydig.com's web site had product "in stock" after four days without any contact from the company I called and was told the item was out of stock, I was offered free next day shipping if I could wait for stock to arrive, I accepted, two days later they call and tell me they will not get any more of the item, not only that, but they charged my credit card for an item they did not even have!! AND I had to email them two days later to get the funds put back on my credit card, bottom line...DO NOT do business here."

"Buyers beware! Buydig.com is big on promise but short on delivery.

I ordered the Pentax Optio550 executive kit from Buydig.com on 08/21/03. Package sent to me contained
only 4 out of 5 items. Buydig has not sent the 128MB SD card, an item in the executive package.
-Called Buydig.com on the same day, 8/23/03: operator #1: "will mail the card. it takes 5 days to reach you ".
-Called 09/03: same optr#1: "will send the card.. uh, uh,.. in this case, talk to my manager. Joane,
the mgr:"will fedex the card to you ", very convincingly the mgr.
-Called 09/10: optr #2, Steve:"the record showed that the card will be sent today. Will email you the
tracking number ".
As of 09/13/03, Hear nothing on the shipment of the 128MB SD card.

Trying to send a message to Buydig Customer service dept. via the Customer service options in Buydig.com
website, only to find that the SEND button can not be located!!! Try it out yourself. Click on the
Customer Servive/Contact on Buydig main page and try some options other than the buying/product options.
Good luck!

Shame on you! BuyDig, stop promising, ship the card or refund the order?????

I had better service from other resellers- Dbuys.com and B&H. Packages arrived on time.
Dbuys promptly replaced a malfunctioned batterry at no extra charge. "

"This is the 2nd time I purchased from BuyDig. The first time was about 4 years ago when I bought a Sony P-50 digicam. I still have the Sony P-50, it is working great. I have probably taken 10-15000 pictures with it. I decided to upgrade to Canon S410 and BuyDig was the cheapest by far. I ordered with free shipping and no tax to CA. It arrived on the 4th day after I ordered. Perfect. Everything as stated. Thanks Buydig!"

"Excellant service, Ordered a Canon 20d and a EF 28-135 Lens on 12/19,a Sunday, had Shipping Confirmation that Day. Shipped 2 day and had them the Wed. before Christmas. No hard sell on accessories, in fact had ordered a 2 gig microdrive and realized it wouldn't fit my other camera so called in about canceling the order,thought I would have to go through a hassle, instead had a customer service person within a couple of minutes of calling, tell me no problem to cancel and sent me an e-mail canceling that purchase within the Hour. Again excellant customer service and ontime shipping. "
