UPDATE:
Hours after posting this review I received another call/voicemail from Maurice. He apologized and let me know he was providing a $50 credit to my credit card for this issue. He offered additional discounts if I needed to purchase anything from Buydig again in the future.
At this time that credit, plus Maurice's hard work in trying to insure my satisfaction, has allowed me to change this to a positive review.
This is obviously a busy time of year for electronics resellers, and although we had some miscommunication at the beginning, Buydig has come through for me in the end.
The amount of the credit was not my end goal. I only wanted the company to understand my frustration, and to offer to do something about it. The $50 refund is greatly appreciated, and I can highly recommend you working with Buydig in the future.
At the end of the day I still got my television (albeit with some frustration involved) at a GREAT price -- lower than what they are selling for one month later as I write this -- and the company worked with me to resolve the issue.
OLD REVIEW BEFORE UPDATE ABOVE:
I ordered a Samsung 46" LCD TV on 11/28/2009. Model number LN46B750. I got a good deal the same weekend of Black Friday.
I discovered Buydig through Pricegrabber.com. At Pricegrabber, Buydig had 20,000+ reviews that were almost all positive.
I planned to be out of town and arranged for the TV to be delivered on 12/8/09. I used the regular (non-"white glove") service.
Buydig outsources this duty to a 3rd party. My delivery company was Manna Distribution Services, who outsourced to a local company in my area.
On the 8th, the day of my delivery, I took half a day of vacation off work to be home during the 12pm to 4pm time I had arranged with Manna. The instructions said Manna would contact me during my time frame to deliver the TV.
I received a call around 10:40AM, but was unable to answer due to being at work. I did not receive another call. I had to call the company at 3:15pm to see when the delivery was coming. I was called back and told I was the next stop on the list, and the truck would be there in 20 minutes.
At 3:45 the truck showed up in the pouring rain... only for the driver to discover my TV was not on the truck. The warehouse had put the wrong TV on the truck, and I wasted 1/2 a day of vacation to sit at home... for nothing!
The delivery company said they would be back between 7:30 and 8:00. They did not show up until 8:45. I will say the driver, though late, was helpful and helped unbox and setup the new TV even though I did not pay for white-glove service.
I contacted both Manna and Buydig to express my disappointment with the delivery. Buydig/Manna would charge $50 normally if I wanted after-hours delivery. Instead I had to setup a 4 hour window, take a 1/2 day off of work, burn that vacation time, and sit at home waiting on a TV that was never to arrive.
I played several rounds of phone tag with Buydig. I was working with Maurice J. I left Maurice messages after I got off work, and sent emails to follow up. I received a few call backs (voicemails) that essentially said they wanted me to be happy -- but offered nothing to actually make me happy. The repeated message was that my satisfaction was important to them... but nothing other than talk was offered to satisfy me and make up for the wasted time.
I sent 4 emails, and after my last message to Maurice that said I would appreciate a discount of some sort for wasting my time... I have received no further communication from Buydig.com.
While I am pleased that I did eventually end up with the TV, I am still disappointed in Buydig. The delivery error was not truly theirs -- it was the 3rd party's fault -- but at the end of the day the buck stops with Buydig. They have done nothing to satisfy me as a customer since the round of phone and email tag I played with Maurice.

Please see update at top of review. I am now completely satisfied. This review was modified by its author, k3vb0t, on

This is my first time ordering from buydig, and I was a bit worried from not buying from those major online retailer stores. I have not received my package yet but, so far, buydig.com's customer service has been very understanding and quick when I had sent in an email concerning an empty credit card I had first put in when I bought a Kodak C182 Camera Kit. I was contacted by buydig immediately after they'd gotten word about it, and I replied. I put in my new credit card information and asked about shipping info. I immediately had gotten a reply back from "Estherc" within 8 hours. After discussing, I had then placed the order again using the new credit card, and, was given a shipping confirmation with 2 hours! I am waiting now, and am expecting great results. Will update once package arrives.
UPDATE: (12/25/2009)
It's Christmas now, and I still did not receive the package that I was supposed to get yesterday. Now, the FedEx page does not display an arrival date nor time. I am disappointed so far as for the shipping. Sent in an email concerning the shipping to Buydig but have not gotten a reply back yet as of 12/27/2009.
UPDATE: (12/28/2009)
Just got a reply back. Buydig contacted FedEx and now, the tracking now shows that it will come tomorrow! (Although with no estimated time)
UPDATE: (12/29/2009)
Package arrived! But already, the package is a little tattered at the bottom, but the contents were air packaged and were in good condition. Everything was sealed, and all 3 of the accessories arrived safely in the same package with the camera. As to the shipping trouble, FedEx had weather trouble along the way, and the package was delayed. I will certainly buy from Buydig again, just probably at a less busier time and not directly at the holidays. This review was modified by its author, adlslai, on

Update: 12/22/2009. BuyDig manager contacted me after I called in and cancelled my order. He apologized about what happen I he promised that I would receive the PC before Christmas. And he would also give me $25 discount.... Today BuyDig have overnight my laptop at there own expense ... So I will be getting my laptop on time ..... :)
Old Review:My experience with BuyDig was terrible. I ordered a Asus Laptop on Dec. 16th and did not receive any shipping confirmation. But my credit card was charged. I send an email asking about the laptop and I get an email two days later saying that the Laptop was out of stock. I was assured it would arrive in two days. It did not. I called BuyDig and they assured me it would then be shipped today. No apology and no nothing. It is now after 3 and I didn't get any email about the shipment. I'm dissatisfied with customer service so I'm calling to cancel my order.
My experience with BuyDig is horrible don't recommend them to anyone. You better off spending your money somewhere else.

UPDATE: Buydig saw this review and has contacted me repeatedly to try to resolve the issue. I had already ordered the TV from another retailer but Buydig gave us an extended service warranty on the TV as a way to make-good. I was impressed by how hard they worked to contact me (I was traveling with kids for the holidays--not easy to pick up the phone).
Bottom line: After that kind of customer-service effort I am willing to try them again.
old review:
Buydig canceled an order it had confirmed four days ago. Just said they did not have the item in inventory after all. I had to re-order the item (obviously I used a different retailer this time) and pay $195 shipping to get it to the recipient in time for Christmas.
I will never order from these clowns again. This review was modified by its author, rrojo91, on

I ordered an LCD TV from Buydig.com. The price was low and the shipping was very fast. My only complaint is that the box was left on my front porch with no signature required. I have no idea how long it was out there, but it was lucky it wasn't stolen. I thought requiring a signature on a large, expensive TV would be a no-brainer, but I was never given the option to request it when placing my order.

We've ordered from Buydig many times before, for two digital cameras, a camcorder, and now a netbook. Every time has been an excellent experience, with great prices and very fast shipping. I'm obviously a return customer!

I recently purchasing a camera from Abe (ext. 534) at buydig.com. I had a question about the camera I wanted to buy and Abe was the representative who picked up my call and was very helpful and wanted to know if I was buying the camera today, and if I’d like to place the order with him. I told him that I was going to place the order online so I could get the Bing.com cash back. He told me that he would be able to discount the price of the camera on the spot. I was surprised, and appreciative, of his response, but since I did not have my payment information at the time, I asked if I could call back. When I got my information together and called Abe back; placing the order was easy, and he honored the price from our previous conversation without a problem.
Moreover, I have placed many orders with buydig.com and have never had any problems. Buy with confidence.

I bought a Toshiba 32-inch 1080P from Buydig.com for my gaming set-up. Seven working days later I found it at a lower price elsewhere. I quickly emailed Buydig without expecting anything. They got back to me this morning (a Sunday) saying they'll give me half of the price difference. Now, to me, that's customer service. Thanks Buydig and I'll be coming back!
BTW, the 32" 1080P is EXCEPTIONAL for gaming at 1920x1080 pixels using component video (RGB cables) from my graphics card to the TV's high-def streaming input. I went from a 19" 1440x900 to this and my gaming experience is unbelievable.

I got a call from Maurice, the manager at Buydig.com two days after I wrote the review below. He read my review, so Buydig.com does monitor what people are saying about them. We discussed my complaints and I receiced a sincere apology that I did accept. I also found out that the problem with the packaging of my TV did not happen at Buydig.com as they ship direct from the manufacturers warehouses, so, someone somewhere was having a bad day when they put my TV in the box. There was a screw up with the shipping and the delivery requirements that probably fall into the sphere of responsibility of Fedex or the warehouse. Based on our conversation, and my past history with this company I will give them the benefit of the doubt about their sincerity and their wish to patch things up for a less than satisfactory experience and I thank Maurice for his call as it provided the personal remedy that I needed.
I purchased a Samsung LN40B750 HDTV from Buydig.com.recently for myself. My TV was supposed to be shipped (I thought) by a special trucking company that specializes in this type of product delivery. It was to be a signature only delivery, but it was shipped via FEDEX and dropped off on my front porch. I had to come home from work to secure it so that it wouldn't be stolen. FEDEX said that buydig did not pay for a signature delivery. When I opened the box I found the TV had been flopping around during delivery because three of the four pieces of styrafoam that are used for packaging had been broken into pieces (presumably by someone who had unpacked the TV previously) and were not doing anything to protect the TV. It is only lucky that the TV did not sustain damage,at least it is working well, for now. Of course, their customer service people were apologetic. I had sent two similar TV as gifts to family members last year and a friend of mine bought a TV from them on my recommendation. Those TV's were delivered with white glove service. Mine was just left on my front porch. This review was modified by its author, acahill, on

I've ordered thousands of dollars of products from BuyDig. BuyDig is the most awesome online retailer I have done repeat business with. I live in a very convenient location for them, too. BuyDig is in New Jersey, and I live in upstate New York - Even their free '5-7 day' shipping gets to me in about a day and a half.
Over the last two years, I've ordered a 52" Samsung LCD HDTV, Canon Powershot G10, Joby GorillaPod, Nikon D5000, and Nikon D90. The D90 even came with a free 4GB SDHC card!
They only called to confirm my very first order (52" HDTV) immediately after I placed it. They verified the shipping address and method, and didn't try to sell me anything extra! They had the best price by a respectable amount, and best of all no tax and free shipping to my location. TV came in less than a week via MANA shipping service. Perfect.
I've recommended BuyDig to other people that live in my area, and they all are repeat customers too! As long as I live on the East Coast, I think I will always go to BuyDig first when looking for new toys and gear!
Nothing but praise! Keep it up!

I was placing an pricey order for a Nikon dSLR and lens, so was apprehensive about getting stuck with ripoff merchants. Buydig's prices were competitive with the lowest of the "reputable" web merchants and they threw in a free 4 gb memory card. Got great results. The shipping confirmation arrived a day after placing the online order, and Fed Ex delivered the items 6 days later. No problems with grey market goods or substitutions. Would definitely order from them again.

UPDATE: After the whole ordeal, I was contacted by a lady from customer support. This lady is a perfect example of customer service. She listened to my concerns, offered solutions to resolve the issues and went above and beyond what was expected. Most importantly, she did everything she said she was going to do. She, by going out of her way to express the importance of my satisfaction, made me feel that my happiness was the most important thing to her and her company. She also put me in touch with her boss just to ensure that she had done everything possible to make me happy. I really do believe now that the company does care about their clients and would be willing to give them another opportunity to re-earn my business.
I was very disappointed with my experience with Buydig.com. I placed an order and was sent an email that stated I would receive a subsequent email 2 days later to let me know my item was shipped. After two days, I hadn't received the email. I called customer support and was told that the item I ordered was not in stock (although the website said it was available). I should have been notified about this rather than having to call in to hear the bad news.
I had asked the support staff member when the item would be available and was told "soon." A definite date was not available. I was very upset at the lack of knowledge from customer support.
I then decided that I had heard too much and decided to cancel my order. When attempted, I was encouraged to speak to the manager to see if there were a way that he could satisfy my concerns. I accepted and was passed on to the manager. This is where even more disappointment and empty promises ensued.
He said that he was really concerned about the situation and wanted to keep me happy. He said that he would talk to his buyer and find out what the timeframe would be to get me my product. He told me that he could call Sunday or Monday with an answer (my first contact with the manager was on Friday, Nov 7). I asked him to call me Sunday. He said ok "as long as you don't mind a Sunday call." I said it would be fine.
Sunday came and went, no follow up call. Monday morning came around, no call. I called customer service at 11am eastern and was told that the manager was not in but would be in at 12:30. I left a message for him to call me as soon as he came in. The support rep said he would ablige. By 1:30 still no call, so I decided to call in. I got a hold of the manager and asked why I had not received a call on Sunday and he said it was his day off. Very upsetting as this was another broken promise! He then went on to say that he still did not know when exactly the product would be available. He offered to send me a damaged-box version of the product or if I gave him a couple of hours (till 4pm), he would find out when the product would be available. He said he would call me to let me know the status.
Well guess what happened? Two hours went by, no call. YET ANOTHER BROKEN PROMISE! At 4:30, I called customer support to talk to the manager and was told that he was "in a meeting" and unavailable to take my call. I asked, yet again, to leave a message for the manager to call me and was told that instead "it would be easier to call him back rather than leave a message." That was ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!! I told the rep to please have him call me back. The rep finally said he'd leave a message.
Well, you guessed it, no call back. The next day I called in and cancelled my order.
I can not believe how poor the customer service is with Buydig.com. The good news to all of this is I found the product on a competitor's website, ordered it and received it in three days even though the shipping had said it would take seven days. THAT is service: to under promise and over deliver. The experience I had with Buydig.com was the complete opposite: over promising and complete under deliverance of those promises.
