"I ordered a number of computer items with this order. I felt the prices were reasonable and the order system was ok. Shipment was made in an orderly fashion and I received my order in good condition. I rate them as above average in the handling of this order."

"I've used Buy.com several times over the past three years and have never had a problem with them. They offer an assortment of things that you would have difficulty finding in local retail stores. I find it easy to use their site and pop in here and there just to see what may be new. I'm not referencing a particular order because I have purchased through them at least six times and have yet to have a negative experience. I don't typically do returns so have never had to deal with that and can't comment. I normally know what it is I want, have done my research and then buy. You do take your chances online if you don't know what it is you want or if what you are buying will work for you. That's why I say it's important to do your research and save yourself the hassle of a return."

"Bought a digital media playback device.
Third-party seller was "Closeoutvideo-Buy".
Merchandise was advertised as "brand new", but instead they sent a refurbished one. Packaged had been used, returned, inspected by seller and labelled "like new"... and they sold it as brand-new.
This was unacceptable because I was buying it as a gift!
I complained, seller would only authorize a return at recipient's expense, and advised about a 15% restocking fee. Again, totally unacceptable for a gift-giving occasion.
And here's the kicker: a few weeks later Buy.com sent me an e-mail asking to provide feedback for that seller. I could not submit my feedback when I tried to give them a generous 2-out-of-5 stars. So, if they won't take two, let's see how they like this rating..."

"Before I proceed, I'd like to say that I placed orders from buy.com many times in the past, but this experience has completely turned me off and I would never do business with them again.
I made a purchase on 4/18. The items were listed as In Stock and Usually Ships in 1 to 2 business days. I received instant order confirmations. On 4/25, when I noticed that the orders were still processing, I emailed buy.com asking when they would ship. On 4/26, Alexis replied stating that on 4/19 someone left me a voicemail asking for more information, and to notify them if I did not received this message. I replied, and asked for them to call me or verify my address through email. The same day, Tamie responded, saying that my info was forwarded for review and that my order would be processes in 1 business day. On 4/30 I got a voicemail asking me to call to verify my address, but no number was left. After calling the general hotline number and spending hours on the phone, I finally got through to the Address Verification Department and they verified my address. Within minutes, my orders were canceled by the marketplace seller, stating that the stock at the lower price I paid was no longer available. They said buy.com took too long to process the order and it sold out. I contacted buy.com asking them to honor the price, but they refused. I spoke with 2 reps before trading emails with Robert Porras. He claimed that there was a price mistake and said they will not honor the sale. This was not a price mistake and there was no reason to assume that. I purchased the items for $118, but buy.com claims that it should have been $1218. This sells for $599 everywhere else, so there was no reason to assume that it was fat-fingered. I figured this was a clearance item, since a new model of the tablet is about to be release. I have found great deals on the internet before, this was one of them. I was offered a $25 gift certificate, which I refused. Then they offered me $100, which I also refused. Then Robert offered to price match 1 of the tablets to a competitor’s price of $599, which was ridiculous because I could have just purchases at that price originally. After I refused, he stopped responding.
This is unacceptable. Buy.com needs to take responsibility for not processing orders in a timely manner. There is no way the customer should have to pay for their negligence."

"Used this site for a sale on the Crucial m4. Did not have any problems with the order. It was delivered quickly.

Have not had an opportunity to interact with their customer service."

"buy.com is linked to our 'Company Perk's' website so automatically I TRUSTed this site. Big mistake! I'm a part-time student and wanted to buy the student/teacher edition of Adobe Photoshop CS6 but since it's not yet available, you have to buy the last version of it first and get a free upgrade to CS6 which is due for release soon. I ordered the CS5 thinking it would be cheaper ($193) to buy from them than from Amazon which would cost me $249.00 (CS6). I later realized that buy.com charged me $279.00 because the version that would qualify for the upgrade is the CS 5.5! BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!!! I went back to their website and sure enough there was a fine print that says CS5.5 qualifies for the free upgrade. I searched for the 5.5 version but couldn't find it which goes to show that there was really a malicious intention of misleading you into thinking that you're saving money by going the free upgrade route. The company I'm working with must have overlooked buy.com's very low bad ratings (1 star)."

"I purchased a MacBookAir from buy.com a little over a week ago. I constantly checked my email to see when it would ship, as i need this for school and work. A couple days ago Tasha Eastman from buy.com emailed me requesting me to fill out an address verification form which needed to included a copy of my drivers license and credit card. I was hesitant at first, but after confirming that it was legit, i faxed it over. Now, they are saying she never received it, so i faxed it over again and still nothing!! I called a number of times requesting to speak with her. However, all i received was an email from her stating she never received the fax. I emailed her telling her how unprofessional she was an no response back. I dont know what the lazy woman is doing with my information, but i plan on finding out. I ended up getting this resolved, but it took me SCREAMING at a customer service rep to get through to anyone of any type of authority. I spoke with someone who was able to release my order. I am so irate and plan on contacting Ms. Eastmans superiors because this is absolutely ridiculous. Because of the fact this woman cannot do her job, an irate customer screamed at a service rep and lost a bunch of business. DO NOT SHOP AT BUY.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Bought an Olympus PEN E-PL1 Micro 4/3 digital camera from them. It was fulfilled by "Cameta Camera". They accepted payment via PayPal and took a little while to respond via e-mail (few hours). Shipped in about 1 day, and took 5 business days (as advertised) to arrive via FedEx ground. Shipping was free and the price was almost too good to be true.

I called in to Customer Service once before ordering and they were moderately helpful. I don't expect much when calling in in the first place though.

Would check them again when comparing prices and ordering. Generally had no problems with Buy.com."

"Not sure why there are negative comments for Buy.com. I have been long time customer and have always been very satisfied.

Latest experience - Placed order for Samsung UN60D8000 @ $2599 (cheapest price on the day anywhere) on Thursday evening. Immediate email notification on confirming the order. Friday credit card charged and shipment made. Prompt notification. Saturday TV at the local sort facility. Scheduled delivery for TV. Delivery happened on time I requested, in the house, in first floor at the place I wanted by a very courteous delivery man.

Though I paid for normal shipment, overall experience seemed to be expedited.

Just loved the shopping for a high end item at Buy.com

I am yet to open the box and check the product - so far - EXCELLENT"
