I placed an order on June 18, 09. Store states item will within 1-2 days. It's now June 29th. However Item has not yet been received. I have sent 4 email to indicate that problem. But, there is no response at all. Money is gone. Tracking statue shows the item still in process. ********Buyer beware*********

I ordered an Intel Gigabit ET Dual Port Server Adapter on 06/21. Chose 2 day shipping. According to the tracking system, it shipped on 06/22 and I was supposed to receive it in 2 days (06/24).  
 
My order did not arrive and when I contacted buy.com, they could not tell me what happened except that they will try to ship another one to me.  
 
I was OK with that, but I wanted my 2-day shipping fee refund since it did not arrive within the stipulated time frame. The person who handled the case just flat out canceled my order my order!  
 
I'm leaving the country for a fair bit, and it's too late for me to reorder over the weekend. So I won't be getting my much needed NIC card.  
 
Just a warning to everyone. Me, I'm staying with Newegg.com next time. A couple of bucks pricier, but at least service is good and things actually arrive without going FUBAR.

I ordered a Canon lens from Click on a deal via buy. com. And they failed miserably on their customers service. They provide No phone numbers, and when you write them an e-mail they dont response to you... I had 5 sleppless night because of this 2 joke of a company. But the lesson is learned, if they dont have a contact info, or if they tel;l you write us an e-mail and if its urgent give US your phone number and we will call you, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!! I have been trying for 6 days to get an anwer from them but still waiting..so I might end up hving stuck with a 500 dollar lens that I vcant return...and Buy.com does not take any responsibility for a marketplace order..and click on a deal gives you 7 days to return a product so they just take their time to fill that 7 days...horibble horiible horrible!!!!!!!

Excellent merchandise, fast shipping, good price

I'm very disappointed in Buy.com. I placed an order for a laptop on 6/12/09. It is now 6/18/09 and the order is still being processed! The item still hasn't been shipped! How can they possibly expect any return customers or recommendations to friends and family?

This was first time buying from Buy.com and boy was it the biggest mistake of my life yet.  
 
They had the cheapest modern 37in TV. It was some off brand- Niko. So I thought the cheap price was because of the unknown brand.- I was wrong.  
 
The TV did not work. The remote takes 20 sec to register after I turn it on,- that is if it will turn on at all. Sometimes it just won't turn on. It's straight up defective.  
 
I do the email interface for RMA. They issue one, but then they say I cannot return it because the TV is over 27in. On their return policy it clearly states anything defective is returnable. But they simply will no take it back. I called so many times- no go. I just waste almost $1k.  
 
Speaking of calling- their phone service is horrible. They send me to some call center in the pacific island- I have no problem with this, but when I tried to get some higher authority or someone in US on the line, the pacific islanders refuse. Not matter what, they said, they cannot take a call higher up- 'elevate call'. For me, if any company refuses to allow their customers take to the higher-up, then I will not do business with them. It's very bad philosophy, and form all the reviews here, I think a lot of people are catching on the the Buy.com scam. With amazing services of giants like Amazon, I don't see a Buy.com in the future if they keep this up.  
 
Don't buy from buy.com period. I haven't since. It was my first and last.

DO NOT USE BUY.COM!!!! I placed an order that I realized right afterwards (1 to 2 minutes) that it was the wrong model. Went to cancel my order (and would have ordered the correct model) within the 15 min. time frame they give and for the next day the only option I saw in my order was "processing" so I was never able to cancel the order. I called first thing the next morning after searching the Web to find a customer service # as they make it nearly impossible to find to be told rudely that I cannot cancel my order as I did not do it online within the 15 minutes. How can you cancel an order when they do not give you an option to do so? I was then told I could return the item and within 1 to 2 weeks get a refund. I asked if I would get the full amount and that I would not have to pay shipping. Was told I would get full amount and not have to pay shipping, that it would be covered... A LOAD OF BS!!! Not only do you have to pay the shipping cost to return an item but they also charge the shipping amount of the item. So out $12 and 2 weeks time... glad it was not a larger item. SO BUYERS BEWARE

I was very content with my experience shopping with Buy.com. My youngest son was hoping to find a record player that was reasonably priced. We found it here. It shipped quickly and I have no complaints.

I purchased an item from Buy.com, and was shipped the wrong item from a different company. Buy.com then told me I had to deal with that 3rd party regarding the incorrect shipment. They had nothing further to do with the sale. I had to obtain a RMA from this company (that I'd never heard of), package the item, and take it to UPS to return it. I did eventually receive a refund, no thanks to Buy.com!

I always had pleasant experiences with this merchant. The part that I was looking for was the cheapest on them, and was shipped from their marketplace. If I would have bought it directly from the other merchant instead of Buy.com marketplace, it would have been much more expensive. I received the invoice and tracking # in a timely manner. The package came on time; however was not packed very properly, and as was shipped from the other merchant, Buy.com cannot be held responsible. Overall, I can recommend them and will do business again in the future.

I placed an order for bluetooth headset.  
The ordered got processed twice because they have stupid spam popping out trying to get you. I immediately emailed them about the mistake in their system. They did send me two ordered but told to refuse the 2nd order. They credited my money back, plus gave me a credit for my troubles. Wasn't expecting that. Thanks

Product description was wrong. Product did not work on a MAC computer. Trying to get a live person to talk to or a phone number is next to impossible.  
Trying to get an RMA to return the product is like finding your way through a complex maze.  
 
These people know exactly what they are doing and they are BAD by design.  
 
The low prices do not compensate for the agrivation and time.  
 
They are off my seller list.  
 
Good bye and good riddance.

Perfect! This is the second time I have ordered from them and I will recieve my order two days after I ordered it. Six months ago or so, I ordered a subwoofer from them, recieved it in a few days and just like my current order, it was the best price I could find period. Got my tracking info one day after I ordered. And they have google checkout. They are who I go to first. Highly recommended

On the plus side, I got a really good deal on an MP3 player from them. On the other hand, their shipping has *really* gone downhill.  
 
They took two business days (maybe three) to get my product out the door, which is ridiculous for a large Internet retailer. Then it went out via Fedex SmartPost, which has to be the slowest, most illogical shipping service ever.  
 
So I got what I ordered in good condition, but it took 11 days to arrive, which is much worse than I've come to expect from budget shipping from major online retailers.  
 
UPDATE: Buy.com contacted me after this review, and apologized for the shipping delay, and offered me a $10 gift certificate. So their customer service seems to be quite attentive and responsive to this issue, which I'm glad to see.

Very satisified. Great price on a new HDTV, they delivered it to my door faster than advertised. I had to update the firmware pretty quickly, but that's an issue with the TV (Sony Bravia) and buy.com wouldn't have any control over that. I'll definitely shop here again.
