Horrible customer service
"Ordered 3 knives for the first time. I received a call in a Saturday saying I needed to verify the order because it was flagged fraudulent. The lady in the line was asking for a cc# and it seemed suspicious. I called back and it said they are closed on weekends. I called back today and was told my order was canceled and Pat, the service rep, was very rude and said I should have spoken to the lady Saturday and promptly hung up on me. With support like this, this company won't be around long "
"I ordered two items totaling $31. They charged my card and sent a confirmation email stating that I would receive another email with a tracking number as soon as it shipped. I waited 6 days and never received tracking number. So I log into their site to check order status and it said "cancelled". I checked my bank and their charges didn't clear, so at least they didn't steal my money. So I sent an email asking why my order was cancelled. I got a response in less than 10 minutes informing me that my order was set aside on fraud alert. Here's Emil text:Unfortunately the order was canceled due to the order falling into the FRAUD status. We allow three business days for the customer to call in to verify the order before the system cancels it.Anytime you place an order over $200 online or if you order in a high fraud zip code it will be flagged as FRAUD and you will need to call in and verify the order before it is released. If you would like to replace the order you can call into our customer service department at 1-800-956-1667 and a representative would be more than happy to replace it for you! I hope this information has helpful.I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, I do hope you have a wonderful day.How was I supposed to know this? I wasn't contacted in any way. Tbh, there's plenty of sites that have the exact same products for around the same price. Why would I hassle with them? No thanks, I'll buy my el-cheapo blades somewhere else. It's just imported China stuff anyway."

"I ordered a couple of items that totaled just over $200. Because of this "extravagant" amount, they would not release the items and required that I call in to verify that these items were mine. They also sent an email. Because of my job, I cannot access an outside phone line at any point during the week without massive inconvenience (not worth it for a couple of blades), so I responded to the email. This was not good enough, and they put my order into FRAUD ALERT and REQUIRED me to call in order it would continue to be held. Again, $200 order placed ONLINE with VALID PAYMENT and VALID CONTACT INFORMATION and EMAIL INTERACTION, but my order is being held for FRAUD.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY."
After the fact charges
"Recently ordered from Budk and had a knife engraved. My invoice was $15. I assumed I was paying $15. Nope...I received an email later that said $20. When I called I was informed that it is indeed $20 because of an engraving charge that was not mentioned anywhere. Bad business and possibly illegal.I'll never do business again with this company"

"I recently made my first purchase from BudK.com and, I more than anything regret doing any business at all with Budk. I originally made my purchas on Nov. 25, 2015, it was scheduled for delivery on Dec. 7, 2015 (which I thought was long in the first place) and was informed in the shipping email it would arrive in 7-10 business days. I called on the 7th when it didn't arrive and hadn't had any movement from FedEx in a week; the CS Rep informs me if it isn't there by that Friday the 10th to call back. When the 10th came and I still hadn't recieved my package I was informed by a very rude CS Rep that they actually had up to 14 business days to deliver my package, and I couldn't receive any help or some sort of credit to be applied towards a future purchase's shipping and handling costs to show this is an honest company until Dec. 17. Finally on the 18th of Dec (almost a month after I ordered this, it came) my product came! I was then wanting to make another purchase with the shipping credit applied to give BudK one more chance. This time k was informed however that I was misinformed a d the only discount I could receive would be one that they offered to everyone on the website.......after nearly a month of waiting, and 3 calls go both BudK and FedEx to find my package, I was blown off by the company for even something as small as a 10% discount......With the total you pay after shipping for the product I bought, it ends up being as expensive, if not more expensive as the same item from elsewhere. Elsewhere however would most likely offer free shipping and a customer service team that actually would be able to help when you call, or at least be polite when you call.....AVOID THE STRESS, HASSLE, AND HIGH SHIPPING COSTS FOR A LOMG WAIT; SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!"
"Too bad there are no negative stars on this review. Worst customer service ever. Order a knife for my daughter. The system cut my address when filling up the order for shipping. Reached to customer service to correct the issue. Absolutely useless. Who knows if they mailed my stuff to the wrong place or they just kept my money. Stay away from this site at all cost"

"I purchased some swords from budk thatnwere advertized as full tang. Turns out they were not. When I tried to return them I waited over two weeks forna shipping label that they claim they sent to mybemail multiple times. The events that followed lead me to believe that their incompetence very much could cause them to not be able to copy an email address. I received the label by mail after almost 3 weeks. I sent the items back ith the form they give you where you list what you want in exchange if you dont want a refund. I listed what I wanted including item numbers, descriptions and price. Instead of looking at the form they refunded my money. But only half. We are heading towards three months now and I am still fighting with them to get the rest of my refund. If it werent for budk employing a bunch of morons they could havenjust shipped the items I wanted and been done with it. Apparently literacy is not a job requirement at budk. Do not order from these clowns. There are better cheaper places to get the same items. Like wildbillwholsale.com. and their customern ervice actually knows what customernservice is."
"VERY unhappy with the customer service! Ordered a knife for my son. When the much anticipated delivery arrived, we found not the knife we ordered, but a Civil War replica HAT!!! The packing slip shows the tanto blade knife we ordered, so clearly it was 100% their mistake, yet when I called, I was told we would have to wait for them to send us a return label for the hat, then fill out a form requesting an EXCHANGE for the "item we wanted"!!! After much discussion, the best I got was "we will process the order in 48 hours and you should receive it in 7-10 business days!! The entire thing is THEIR FAULT, yet I received not even the slighest apology from them! She acted like SHE was doing ME a favor, as if I ordered it wrong! Any respectable company would have, in addition to a sincere apology, shipped out the correct item IMMEADIATELY, with rush shipping, not the slowest possible shipping! We have been BudK customers for YEARS, but after this experince, NO MORE! Never again will I deal with this company! Buyer beware. Worst customer service I have ever experienced!"

I was looking for problems and can not find any, the blade is sturdy, sharp, and the handles have a good sturdy feel and grip and the lock at the bottom works great! I would recommend this knife to my friends!!!"
"I ordered a 'Ink Pen Knife Black Serrated Blade' for my brother for Christmas. When I received the shipment the invoice and a magazine were enclosed but the item (pen knife) was missing. After calling them and telling them about the problem they resent the exact same item without any additional shipping charges. The only thing I would have like them to have done was send me updates of the shipping status of the item I purchased. Even with them having to re-ship the item I still got it on time for Christmas Day"
