"(Asus C90s-custom) I must first say that I am completely satisfied with the way the deal went, the quality of merchandise and I am thankful for the assistance and support I got throughout the transaction. I will elaborate below:
- I was placing an overseas order and my first question was 'how?', so I e-mailed them and received a "have a look in our FAQ" reply. Let's be honest, I well deserved that, that's why FAQ is there in the first place.
- having mentioned the overseas order, I must say that not only it was overseas, but it was somewhat peculiar, involving a very specific paperwork, and that was done to my entire satisfaction and I am grateful for that.
- the biggest turn-off is the way I was treated at first, but as correctly described by Eddie somewhere earlier, they DO get a lot of casual browsers never meaning any businees, so the chill greeting is well understandable, but not entirely justified. Once I got past the initial contact and into finalising the deal, the responses were quick and to the point, however somewhat brief. Some allowance should be made for non-english speaking customers, as we may not necessarily be familiar with the slang
- I've chosen the top specs so it took a little longer than expected to get a CPU, but I was promptly notified where delay came from and when they will get the part
- worth mentioning is the fact that original Asus power supply adaptor, which is know to be underpowered, was swapped by the store to a bigger power one without any charge or without even asking for it

Bottom line - one of the best i-net purchasing experiences I've ever had. I highly recommend this outlet to anyone interested and I myself am looking for the next laptop upgrade when I will no doubt first turn to btoTech.com

“It is hard to filter out dozens of emails daily from Africa, Singapore, Indonesia, uk, Russia, south America and so forth. Most international inquiries are a waste oif time. 1 in 50 results in an order on a good day. Most are looking to use their international credit card others are looking to send you a fake check and an array of other methods that all result in fraud. We assume international inquiries are fraud unless the customer
1. Reads the faq
2. Read the product pages and is familiar with the product
3. Is willing either to send paypal where it is accepted or send wire.
Its a step process which works. Sure some legitimate customers may not want to send a wire or may not want to read the product pages. Those customers can shop elsewhere if our terms are not acceptable. Sorry for the brisk responses at first. You said it right. We do get a lot of request from people who are not willing to abide by our policies. Those overseas customers who are willing to accept our terms must go through the same "interview" as all the rest.

"Super computer. Have just gotten it and have been spending a fair bit of time loading programs and updating software and tweaking for my personal use but that is expected with any new purchase. I chose to have XP installed rather than Vista. Much to my surprise when I turned on the thing, low and behold, there was the logon screen with my name on it. I don't use that feature preferring to just turn it on and go...but it showed a certain amount of customer service putting my name in with the upgrade to XP. Could have been a problem though if it had been a gift for someone else. The software needed to get up and running was installed and I was allowed to choose to or not to install the added value software. I had recently had a very bad experience with another company in trying to purchase this computer. This was by far a more superior customer service experience than the other place. This was a gift from my wife and I am loving both of them right now. If this had been our first experience I would have said great puter great price great service...but after what we went thru with our first attempt with another company I would have to put superior in front of puter...price...SERVICE...buy from them again...you bet...recommend to others absolutely."

"Alright ill make this short as possible. never do i buy things off of the internet because i know that what you see is not always what you get. but never have i been more satisfied with anyhting in my life. i paid for it out of my own money and it was completely worth it. this computer the p4 system is fricken awesome and i never would have asked for more. its great for gaming and totaly wirth what i paid for. the buisness was awesome. the shipping arrangements werecarefully planned out and done as quick and carefully as possible. that was the best part. i was insured my computer and it was delivered on time in perfect condition. i owuld say buying from y2k was the best investment i have made. thanks alot!"

"This is old fashioned service done in a high tech way! I am a discerning customer with old school ethics... What a breath of fresh air to shop with assistance waiting at every corner to help the customer! I found BTO Tech provided EXCELLENT communication and my product arrived looking and working perfectly with exactly what was promised. All this and to still have great prices... you guys should start a consulting company to teach other companies how to treat a customer who comes to them with money to spend!

"Last month I purchased a new IBM desktop from that manufacturer but five days after set up the processor (a state-of-the-art Pentium 4) crashed and was unrestorable. So instead of asking IBM for a replacement I asked for a refund and just started over with a (much) smaller company--ynot2k, which a PC-literate colleague had recommended. [In my 'umble opinion they should change their name.] From them I ordered an athlon 64 processor, 3200+ system to use for the usual indispensable tasks one does at home (correspondence, production of documents and graphics)--building into this system also sufficient platforms to handle occasional hi-tech games and media processing.
The system took an extra day to build [promised in 3, built in 4] and for this delay I was given a free upgrade to a 3400 processor. Now, two weeks after set up, the system works fine and makes me almost glad my IBM was a lemon. There have been relatively minor software glitches (and frankly I'm surprised if there are NO glitches to iron out with a new system--thinking of all the factors, variables). Ynot2K included some free software that came without the necessary registration numbers; I also couldn't get DVDs to play in the DVD drive--something was missing, apparently the driver codecs for playing different file types. (This may have been preloaded--but just didn't execute.) That problem was fixed after I downloaded something or other and jimmied with things a bit. In all, from the first contact with Ynot2k [=geared2play] to the present, I've sent this company about 5-7 emails (various requests for information or for the few glitches reported above); their responses have always been prompt and for the most part sufficiently detailed. I have no regrets for going with this company and give it very high ratings.

“Thanks for taking the time to reply. We actually did add a name after 2k. Geared2play was started in 2001. Since then we have been working under both names. We could not just change it as there are customers who know us by ynot2k.com the parent company. We only preload windows and the required device drivers and service packs. We do not preload antivirus, office, productivity software or decoders for dvd's and rw's. That may sometimes cause conflicts as customers may load their own preffered software. We keep the perintallation down to a bare minimum, instead we run a number of benchmarks which determine stability and figures. As for the delay in shipment. We advertise 5-8 business on all custom systems off the site. We offer expediting which is 10$ for every day sooner then 8. 5-8 business days is guranteed just like expediting, if we dont make it we send a partial refund. We strive to make money here so delays are rare but sometimes we need an extra day or two. Thanks for the kind feedback.”

"I just bought a refurbished W3V from this store like a week ago. Bought from this store because it has a very excellent feedback from resellerratings.com and many notebook forums.

The item is in flawless condition as described,
the item was well packed, shipping was on time (shipped the same day I placed my order) and the main guy, Eddie, was very helpful, my e-mails and questions are replied very fast!
Don't know about the after service thou since I haven't got any problems with this item.

I would DEFINITELY RECOMEND this store =)"
