"Bought a Vizio 26-inch LCD VA26L(refurbished) from BuyDakota.com on March 11th, 2009. Problems with TV arose in early June 09'. Contacted BuyDakota.com and told I was out of the 90 warranty. Basically, out-of-luck I was told by Kim in Customer Service. I then requested for her supervisor, Jamie Wonkum(sp?), an owner of the company for some help and he refused. Therefore, I am left with a TV that does not work and no way of rectifying the situation. In this type of economy that's not what a service oriented company wants to evoke in a response from a customer. I will do business with other purveyors on the web and not this one for the remainder. "

"The only reason this company gets 5 stars from anyone is because those reviewers had perfectly functioning products. However, if your product from brownbox.com or the ebay seller "brown-box" is defective then good luck because you'll need it. My Vizio Vtab was defective, a non-functioning HDMI connection and a sluggish/freezing interface only got the reply, "Contact Vizio with any warranty issues" reply from brownbox. Vizio told me to try a different HDMI cable, so I tried several and none worked, although they all work on both of my phones' hdmi connections and my computer HDMI connection.
I then replied to brownbox that I wanted a full refund and they told me to pay to ship it back to them. Only brownbox will send you a defective product and force YOU to pay to have it shipped back to them. I left negative feedback on ebay for "brown-box" since they cost me $16.50 (return shipping + insurance) and I have nothing to show for it. Brownbox then replied to my negative feedback and said that I had not contacted Vizio for warranty support, which was a blatant obfuscation (lie). This action proves the unethical and sycophantic nature of this company.
I have no problems with receiving a defective product, since technology is not perfect, and I understand that some faulty products are to be expected from time to time. However, to have to PAY to have THEIR broken product returned to them without recompense is unacceptable. If I could give this company 0 stars I would, but sadly I have to grudgingly hit the 1 star rating."

"I ordered a stylus pen for my Gateway computer. It arrived and it was defected. They were courteous, they sent a replacement immediately. It did not work either. I asked for refund. They told me just to throw away the stylus and they would credit my account. Then they claimed that it was not possible to do it through PAYPAL, as it was more than 60 days (of course it was because I was nice to ask a replacement from them and things take time instead of an instant refund). I have a non-functioning stylus and no refund. They could just send me a check... Very sleezy tactics UPDATE: My credit card company issued a conditional refund after my dispute we will see how this will paly out."
