"We forgot to pack a camera on our visit to NY. Called into Broadway Camera 1550 Broadway and were persuded to buy an Olympus 370 and an SD card and was charged $270. Checked other stores on internet when we returned to hotel and found same camera for $95 to $160 and same sd card for 8 to 24 dollars max price $184. A mark up for Time Square may be expected but this seems excessive. Be very aware that you will pay well over the odds if you choose to shop with this retailer. It is retailers like this that give cities a bad name."

"I wanted to order a Canon 450d only from Broadway photo, the guy called back and talked to my husband and told him that I really needed a few extra accessories, he insisted and insisted so much that my husband said ok just to stop him and thought that I could cancel later. when I came back an hour later the order was $1000 over my previous order then I called to cancel, the guy was so rude and said that it wasn't possible because it was already shipped and If I cancel it's going to cost me $200. I said that I only asked for a regular shipping in 7 days but he said that was like that and hang up... I never received a invoice, the package was left in front of the door in the street, the camera was not even new and all the accessories were cheap one and broke soon after !"

""The new" Broadway Photo (new management supposedly) is SAME as old BWP. Same lies. "The included battery has only 30-45 minute life". Then bwp attempt to sell you the 'upgraded' battery for twice the actual msrp cost (a $40 battery is offered for $80 b/c its 'better' - a flat out 100% lie!). Same, same, same! Nothing has changed @BWP. they have a 1.00 rating out of 10 after 710 reviews. Do the math! That is 10 people every 100 sales. Next I was forced to ship & pay for 2 day b/c of my location. But package was sent 7 day ground! HELLO!!!! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes! BWP would steal from their grandmother whiloe she was dying of cancer I am 100% convinced. AVOID "THE NEW" BROADWAY PHOTO LIKE THE PLAUGE. It is needed to claim 'new management' to seperate themselfs from fraud in the past. Nothing has changed & neither will this review. There is nothing short of a 100% refund - to include ALL shipping costs that will entice me to edit this review. How about them apples broadway photo? Works both ways. How hard is it to be honest & decent to paying customers? Immpossible apparently @ BWP."

"I went into the Bway store near Times Square. They put a $189 charge on my credit card for a 4 GB SD memory card that should have cost me $8. Then flat out refused to stop the transaction when I caught it. Laughed when I told them I would call the credit card company to resolve it. They really don't care about customers at all, its all about scamming. They took my receipt back from me when I complained so I had no physical proof of the scam."

"I've been wanting an SLR for quite a while and finally ordered a Pentax K-x with Broadway. I found out about Broadway from a friend. After shopping around I found they had the best prices of anybody. Customer service was great and was very helpful with what I might need for my Pentax. The Pentax is a dream, never used an SLR before and it was quite easy to just start shooting pics. There is a learning curve for the advanced features, but after only 12 hours I'm getting the hang of it and am enjoying it more than I can say. I'll definately use Broadway for any other gear I might have a need for."

"They said they have Pentax DA* 16-50mm lens in stock when I've emailed them to make sure before I order. After I place my order, three days later, they canceled my order saying that I've requested to cancel my order which I did not! When I called the customer service person said the do not have the item in stock! From the email conversation below, other person from their customer service confirm me that they've got the recent stock last week! Now I'll wait for my refund! Do not trust or buy from this store! This is base on my real life experience with Prestige Camera.

"I was told from Pentax that you are a non-authorized dealer and that the camera you sold me was probably Gray market or reconditioned. Since my camera immediately had a problem and you didn't want to deal with it and told me to contact Pentax, I am not pleased with my first time dealing with Broadway Photo!

"THEY ARE SHADY! I was sold a Nikon D80 that is a gray market (they call it an "import") after being told on the phone by a customer service rep (which no longer works there, big surprise!) that it was an American camera!!!!! This is illegal!!!! I am unable now to send my camera to Nikon USA to be fixed and after 7 months the camera is messing up!!!! They were unapologetic and basically said that it was my fault and I shouldn't have listened to their sales rep and I should have read the fine print!!!!! NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! YOU DON"T KNOW WHAT YOU WILL GET!!!!! And yes the camera is under their warranty so I can send it in (not to nikon USA!) but I still have to pay for labor. The point is I WAS MISLED and I feel that I was lied to, not that they wont fix it! I was told my d80 was not an import model and I just found out 10 months later that it IS an import model. Their sales rep lied to me! That is my problem with this company."

"I BUY DIGITAL gave me Great Service and Price, No games! This place is legit!, No bait and Switch, I Called many Other NYC Discount Camera Stores got all the BS and Attitude one could handle. These guys at IBUY DIGITAL were excellent! These guys are a breath of fresh air! Orderd on the 12/02/ recieved on the 12/08 even sent me a UPS tracking # . I would definitely recommend I BUY Digital. I am not being paid to write this review but when you buy a camera and you see a advertise price It should be the price that is being clearly advertised! There should not be all the games some of those discount camera stores pull. Before you buy a camera from one of those discount stores just look up the discount stores name and read about their service and complaints!"

"I bought a camera there. It was listed as USA model, but turned out to be imported model instead. I should have known that it was too good too be true (since the price was much cheaper than other site). But at least they give me 1 year limited warranty so it's not too bad.

The other bad thing is the site at that moment was pretty bad. I had no way to track my order. I couldn't even find a place to sign up for an account. But it looks like they fixed most of those issues now."


"Ok....IBUY Digital had this great price for the Nikon D90 that I bought. I looked up the reviews and I tell you, it was a little disconcerting....but you know what, they were absolutly great. Not sure who the unhappy folks were, but this was fine by me...and I am picky and easily pissed.

It helps if you know exactly what you want because the sales guys are a degree pushy (as they probably should), but I got my camera in 3 days after they shipped......tracking info and all. It initially got held up by thanksgiving, but I did get my camera with all accompanying accesories. All in all, I will give IBUY Digital 4.1 stars out of 5. I added the .1 because I was pleasantly suprised as service was opposite a lot of the uncomfortable reviews. Thanks......"
