Thanks so much for feedback on your order. I am sorry you experienced a hick-up with our courier service and I am glad you were otherwise happy with the rental. The distance between the South Bay and San Mateo is not much, but it's surprisingly difficult to find a reliable courier service :)

"These guys are phenomenal!!! Max went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. My wife and I had spent 2 years planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to South Africa. I had spent many hours looking at lenses on line and in stores trying to figure out how I could afford a telephoto lens that would give me some great pictures of wildlife and scenery. The lens that I decided would work, certainly didn't work in my budget! About a week prior to leaving I discovered that I could rent a lens, so I started looking around the net at rentals.
BorrowLenses.com kept showing up as the best prices, so I finally decided to rent from them. I emailed them with some questions before placing my order...it was as though they were sitting there waiting for my email to come in, they replied so fast I thought I was on an instant messaging site! When I placed my order, I had only a couple of days left before leaving so I opted for the overnight FedEx shipping.
The day the lens was supposed to show up came and went, and the lens didn't show...I called FedEx and they said "oops" and promised that the lens would be here the next morning...the day before we left. Our flight was leaving at 6am and we live over an hour from the airport so we were to leave the house at 3am the next morning. The morning came and went, and still no lens! I immediately contacted BorrowLenses.com (by the way, Max was always instantly available when I called them) and was told that they would get an investigaion started. I called FedEx and finally found out that the lens was lost!
As it turned out, FedEx had screwed up royally and when the finally DID find the lens, their only option to getting it to me on time was to put it on a commercial flight and send a courier to pick it up at the airport and then delivery the lens to my home...one hour before our departure! The lens made it!
I don't know how many times while on the trip I said, "Boy am I glad those guys got this lens to me!" But it must have been about a hundred times. The lens worked out perfectly and I am quite proud of the photos I took. BorrowLenses.com went WAY beyond the normal for customer service and provided a lens that more than met my expectations. I would most definetly do business with them again!
