I am a big fan and a very happy customer. I shoot sports and at times need a rental delivered within 1-2 days and they've never let me down in customer service, item quality or shipping. Their inventory selection is a shutterbug's dream, and whether you're serious about photography, want to try something before investing in a purchase, or just want to take great pics for a special event - this is where you go.

At first I was slightly hesitant to use BorrowLenses.com, but after giving them a shot I will definitely be using them in the future. I needed some fast glass (both in aperature and delivery time) for video on my Canon 7D to shoot my trip to Japan and borrowlenses delivered. They shipped the same day I ordered and had them to me on time and at a reasonable price. Camera stores in my area wanted deposits for the entire amount of the lens, but borrow lenses did not require it. I got a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 and a Canon EF 24mm f1.4L for two weeks for about $200 with return shipping.  
 
Overall, I was very impressed with borrowlenses.com and I highly recommend them for lens and equipment rentals. I WILL be using them again. Without those two lenses the video I took in Japan with my Canon 7D would have been alot less impressive. It was my first lens rental from online. I rent Canon 100-400 L IS lens to use for airshow. I did received the lens on requested date. The lens was in good shape. I would rent the lens from them again.

An excellent coompany to work with.They have in stock the lens I was looking for (canon 28/300). I got it whit all the accesories I needed it. The delivery was ON TIME (date and time) even in a real short notice, and arrived en perfect condition. Was a pleasure work with that lens.  
Customer service was outstanding and would definitely look foward to do bussiness again in a short period of time.

My wife and I used BorrowLenses.com recently to rent a flash for a wedding!! After a quick conversation to clarify some things... I had the answers I needed!! We ordered the flash and it arrived just as we had hoped! Simple return as well!! Great communication from the company including an email to confirm they had received the item back!! Will happily use there service again when the need arrives!!

I rented the 35mm Nikon lens, it was in excellent condition and performed excellently. I would definitely rent from this company again in the near future.

Very helpful service people. I returned my rental a day late, but was charged a small amount for the extra day. Very useful if you want to try out a lens without plunking down 1K or more.

I received the camera when it was promised in a well packed box with a pre-purchased shipping label inside for easy return shipment. The camera appeared to be brand new and came with a fully charged battery loaded, a battery charger and strap. The rental couldn't have been easier or more professional.

BorrowLenses.com was a great company to work with. They had the lens we needed in stock, at the best price we've seen, and got it to us quickly with all accessories (bag, filter, covers, hood) in great condition. Additionally, we turned out to need to renew the rental multiple times, and each time, on very short notice (the day the lens was due to be shipped back on one occasion) they did everything they could to accommodate our extension.

To be honest, 2 of the 3 times I've rented from this place, I've had issues. The first time I rented a lens and 2 White Lightning Strobes and all was well. Everyone was friendly and my rentals were in good working order. The next two orders, however, weren't as smooth as I'd hoped. On my recent order, I rented a lens and the Alienbees Ringflash. Unfortunately they don't maintain this particular piece of equipment all that well. Granted, it's not really a rental-grade piece of gear, but if you're going to rent it, it should be maintained. My main issues were that the lock to keep the reflector pieces on was broken, so the reflector could come off more easily while you're shooting. Also, this unit comes with a specially angled power cord that doesn't interfere with the camera as much, but they didn't send that this time. This time, the flash was sent with a straight cord, which made it interesting to mount a camera to the ring flash. The other thing I was disappointed about was the travel bag. The first time I rented this, it came in a travel bag, which is awesome because I shoot on location 85% of the time. This time, however, there was no travel bag, so I had to bring this to the location in the padded box they shipped it in, which needless to say, wasn't convenient.  
 
On a previous order, I rented a lens and a bunch of lighting gear. Good points on that experience for them purchasing a brand new lens to fulfill my rental. Bad points because they confirmed a lens they didn't have it stock, and confirmed a softbox that turned out to be broken so it wasn't rentable. They didn't notify me of this until I was there to pick up the gear, which was disheartening. The associate mentioned they had a perfectly usable profoto softbox, but said I would have to pay extra to rent it and the strobe it mounted to. This, in my eyes, is really poor service, as they already confirmed a similar piece of gear that turned out to be broken, and gave me no notice that it wouldn't be available. On this same trip, they also forgot to include lighting grids I rented, so I had to go back and get them.  
 
Overall, these folks have been friendly and pretty easy to deal with. Unfortunately though, it seems like they're a little too laid back when it comes to checking the details, which isn't awesome, when you're relying on their gear for a job.  
 
Lastly, their shipping is pretty high compared to their competitors. I paid $48 for 2-day shipping on my last rental, and they ended up shipping it ground because I'm in the area. Did they credit the difference? Of course not.  
 
In cases where I'm renting gear that no other mail-order rental house carries, I'll continue to rent from them, with mild trepidation. In cases where the gear I'm looking for is available from other rental houses, I'll sadly be renting from them. While I want to support a business that is local to me, I can't do that if I can't depend on them 100% of the time.

Borrow Lenses is a great company! My lenses came on the day I requested and when there was a mistake they shipped it overnight free of charge! I will definitely order from them again!

The only change this company needs to make is its web address. It should be: WWW.THE-BOMB.COM!!!  
 
On my second rental and they have been outright awesome!!! Great equipment, everything is as promised and ultra convenient. DON'T ever purchase a lens before seeing these guys first!!!
