Excellent service! Website is easy to use and provides all the information you could possibly need. Questions I emailed were answered very quickly (within hours, if not less than that). Lenses came as promised with no issues -- packaged well and arriving on time.  
 
I wanted to use these for vacation and the folks there calculated when I would need to receive it by to have it for the maximum amt of time on my trip. I wouldn't hesitate to utilize this service again. And, best of all, I felt like I was being green! :)

Great place to rent lenses. The great thing about renting from this place is you do it all online in your own time, so when you go to pick up the equipment, you can be in and out of their office in 5 minutes. Their service and hospitality is top notch, to boot.

I rented a Canon 24-70 2.8 L and 70-200 2.8 L IS. We did 7 days rental and it was under $200 including shipping. The lenses were in excellent physical and operating condition. I was really pleased when I opened the box and saw the excellent condition.  
 
I will not hesitate to rent from them again and plan on doing so in the very near future.

I rented a colorimeter and software to calibrate my monitors. The item was ready when I asked for it to be ready, was fully functional, and included the necessary software. The rental process is easy, if a little slow. This is my second rental with BorrowLenses and I'm sure I will do business with them again.  
 
My only knock on the company is that their location, a storefront in San Mateo, is not easy to find and they don't have nearly enough parking.

I was extremely happy with the service BorrowLenses provided. The lens was received on time and was in great shape. Unfortunately for me I should have order an I/S lens as I was on a sailboat and several shops were somewhat blurry due to the movement of the sailboat. I've learned my lesson. Would maybe like to see a FAQ part of your site for amateur photographers which would suggest a lens for the project they are currently trying to photograph. I would again order from this company. Loved it, everything was so easy!!! The lens arrived all packed and included all the instructions for return. At the end of my order I was not ready to send it back so with one short phone call I was able to extend it a week. I also asked some general questions about the lens when I called and they were very knowledgeable and helpful.  
 
Sending it back was a breeze! I just packed it up and attached the prepaid shipping label and dropped it off in town. I plan to rent from them again soon!!

These guys are awesome! They have top notch communication with their customers, and are on top of their game with rental lens recommendations. Their stock of lenses is great, from beginner to professional lenses, the prices are reasonable, and shipping...even to Chicago in the winter...was on time.  
 
I've rented from them a few times now, and will continue to do so in the future. It keeps me from making those expensive lens purchases.

I absolutely love Borrow Lenses. It is the best way to get what you need in a fast, professional manner. The staff couldn't be better. I've picked up an order in the past and met them personally... they truly are a nice group of people. Most recently, I placed an order during a holiday promotion (and it was so good, hundreds of other people did too). Unfortunately, the lens I reserved wasn't available even though I had already "checked out" and finished the whole process. Rather than hanging me out to dry, they actually called to work with me in every possible way. Asking what I was going to be shooting and trying to find an alternative lens (or lenses) based on what they had in stock. They ended up sending me a couple lenses to make sure I would be able to get the shot I was trying for and didn't add to my original bill. I was so pleased even with the service (even with the minor mishap) that I just had to write a review. Thanks so much!

I had heard through a friend that they had a good experience renting a lens for a week and my daughter had a soccer tournament last weekend so I thought it would be a good time to try them out. I was able to rent for a very reasonable amount, one of the top new Nikon lenses, a 70-200 VR II which lists for $2400. I liked having the ability to try a professional lens for a special occasion. It was an easy process to reserve the lens and since we live in the bay area very easy to go to borrowlenses.com and pick it up. The return process was just as easy.
