Good experience renting a lens. There was some miscommunication with my order request, but the customer service was excellent and the rapidly fixed everything. I will definitely rent lenses from Borrow Lenses in the future and highly recommend them.

I have rented twice now and will continue to use BorrowLenses when I need to rent camera gear. Both times I have received nearly new equipment in excellent condition. I live in the San Francisco area and have ordered equipment at night and it is ready at the San Mateo store first thing in the morning. Rented an SB-900 unit from BarrowLenses. Good first time experience using this company . Unit arrived exactly as they said and returned to them without any problems . I would recommend this company without hesitation .  
 

I rented a 100-400 Canon telephoto for the second time - and will do so again next Febraury - it is an ideal way to get a great lens for my infrequent wildlife trips. But a week before my last trip my normal lens - a 17-85 failed so I called them to add an 18-200 to my order which they accommodated immediately. I enjoyed this so much - I am going to purchase one to replace my broken lens. this is a great service and allows to to check out lenses before I buy. Shipping is always punctual and hassle-free.

My first rental from BorrowLenses.com went off without a hitch. I'm local so I took advantage of the local pickup option and rented a Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens and a 60mm macro lens for a trip. Pickup was fast- I walked in, showed my ID, signed a form and away I went. Returning the lenses was just as easy.  
 
The only downside of BorrowLenses.com that I can see is the opportunity to use, and fall in love with, lenses that I can't really afford.

I rented the Canon 300 f/2.8 IS from Borrowlenses.com. The lens came very sell packed in foam. The lens was inside the original Canon case. FedEx was suppose to get a signature, but failed to. I notified Alex of the FedEx's mistake and he took care of it. I highly recommend renting from borrowlenses.com. I will most definitely rent from the again in the future.
