"I ordered $30 of standard Honda lawn mower parts on Wednesday and received them the following Tuesday. A shipment email was sent on Friday and a USPS receipt email was sent on the day that the parts arrived. I was worried that this order was going to be a hassle after reading other reviews, but luckily I had no issues and am totally satisfied."

"These guys are not good unfortunately. I have had two bad experiences now and will never order from them again. I wish I saw this review prior to me ever ordering as its indicative of how they handle their customers. First of all I ordered five parts for my older Johnson outboard as they are hard to get locally. The shippers docket when received showed two as not posted but they denied it and after even scanning and emailing them the evidence they just ignored it. They refer you onto a supervisor who doesn't even respond. Quite disgusting really. On another occasion they sold me a hydraulic outboard gas lifter that was defective inside 12 months and they didn't want to know about repairing it when it was a $300 part. I must also mention after my most recent order my credit card had unauthorised purchases made on it I suspect from one of their staff members so I had it cancelled immediately. These guys are shonks if I have ever seen them."

"ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!!!DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!!!
After placing an almost $300 order I was sent a confirmation that my order was in stock and "due from the manufacturer" on may 28th. I thought I would have it in just a few days as I am in Florida as well as boats.net ....I WAS WROOOOONG! It's now june 7th and I received one shipment of about half of my order. I've made 6 phone calls to this place and held anywhere from 25 minutes to over an hour one time and was told numerous different stories of why the order hadn't shipped and that it would possibly go out in the next few days but they "couldn't guarantee it". I've left messages that were never returned, the time I held for an hour I was told "our computers are down what's your number and I'll call you back in a little while"... that was a week ago. Robert told me yesterday he would find out the status of my back orders and would call me back when he got in. I called a few minutes ago and was told "Your backorders have been here for a while but we just got a huge Evinrude order and we need to get to that first, it might go out next week" "

"Unless you have money to throw away, DO NOT ORDER from this company. Pay the extra $$$ and get wahtever you need elsewhere. Lake many others, my order was supposedly in stock however, it still managed to to three weeks to get to me - I could have lived with this, however, I ordered the wrong size (totally my fault), I would like to exchange/return....ANYTHING. Impossible to reach via phone, repeated emails go unanswered. This has been going on for over a month - I will continue to try to find the someone/anyone that might help me, but right now I have a very large paperweight that looks like a Mercury Black Max Propeller......"

"Like almost all the previous reviews said, I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering from them. This place is absolutely horrible. They claim all of the parts that I ordered were shipped and delivered, but they were not. Do not waste your time calling them because they do not answer the phone. Do not waste your time with their on line contact procedure because they will not respond. This place should be shut down and put out of business. Then everyone of them should be put in jail. What a crime they are getting away with."

"Ordered a part for a Suzuki outboard on May 27th. Money came out of my account within an hour, and I had an email with a tracking feature. Showed the part I ordered in stock and ready to ship. Likely delivery May 31st. Sounds good, right? wrong.
Looked at same site on May 31st to see that part was still in stock, but estimated shipping date was now to June 6th. Called, and after being on hold for 20 minutes, the customer service rep could not find my order, even with my order number etc? It was then explained to me that they have two databases, and she was not able to find it in either one. I was asked to hold again while she had her supervisor look into it. Her supervisor said that it would now be shipped today (kinda doubt it since they don't seem to know what I ordered)
I asked to speak with this supervisor with the intent of having the shipping bumped up at their cost, or cancelling my order and refunding my money immediately, and was put on hold. When contact was reestablished, was told that the supervisor just left for one of their 3 warehouses. Could they get my phone number to call me back? I obliged, but with the caveat that if I did not hear back in the next hour and a half, that I would pursue this with customer complaints, and through the Better Business Bureau. After all, what type of travelling supervisor (doubt that actually happened as well) does not have a cell?

I earn my living on the water, and have contact with 250-300 fisher folks each summer. Normally, I offer advice only when it's asked for, but I expect to be more forthright concerning this company."

"Satisfactory experience here. 1 of 3 items backordered for Honda small engine. Recieved email notifications about the
order but had to call for my tracking as I could not track using my order number on the website. Got someone who was helpful enough to get my tracking. Shipped via Fed ex had the parts in 8 days. Not bad. Due to some stock issues I would not be in a hurry on something and expect to get it right away it seems but..The prices are more than competetive and I did recieve the parts in 7-10 days which made it worth it to me. Ill be rebuilding soon enough. Thanks Boats.net!"

"Use iBoats instead!!!! I waited on hold for 43 minutes before being told that the parts were on back order. Most online companies these days have decent systems to let you know that your item is on back order via a simple email. Their hold music/information states they are the largest online marine dealer...then why not catch up with all of the smaller companies and invest in some up-to-date computer inventory and communications systems to keep your customers in the loop??? Poor customer retention strategy in my opinion. I guess I'll pay the extra $1 and stick with the companies that are on top of things. "

"I will never order anything from these guys again. My part was lost, then they said they would resend it, but never did. After 24 days I cancelled my order after waiting on hold for 29 minutes. They do not respond to e-mails either.

SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!!!"

"DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!! If I had checked the on-line reviews, never would have placed an order. Ordered 2 small parts for an outboard 2 1/2 weeks ago and they still have not shipped. One is on back order and the person on the phone had no idea what had happened. I never received an e-mail saying anything was delayed. Have been waiting now for over 2 weeks for these parts needed to repair my motor, boat in driveway, paying for a slip at marina, planned to take my family out this weekend, but can't. When I tried to use the on-line tracking a week ago, it said it could not find my order!!! So I called and person told me part was no longer on backorder and would ship 4 days ago. So today when I aksed the person on phone to look up my order on their tracking site, it told her it could not find my order!!!! Are you kidding me? Supervisor could not say when backordered part would be available and would not give me the parts at no charge to make up for the fiasco. Offered to give me faster shipping. I told him about the reviews on this site and that he has a real problem, then cancelled my order. These people should be out of business! Do not buy from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Guess I was lucky then. Ordered a fuel filter on Thursday 05/09/2012. Didn't ship until the following Wednesday 05/15/2012, then took another 3 days to arrive. Awful service, never again."

"As the below comments metion...DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE people. Very disorganized. Hard to get intouch with. And they are SUUUPPPEEERRRR slow with shipping. I also was charged the day the order was processed, internet said shipped on the 9th, theye rude lady on the phone said the 10th and the even more rude Manager, Chris Powell, said it would be shipped on the 13th.....and i have to refuse the order or drive to lake placid to get my money. He doesnt know me...that parts not here tomorrow as stated again today on the 13th- i will be in lake placid. i can not believe these people. The first lady hung up on my husband becaude she told him"you ordered a part that was out of stock" and he said it said you had 10 online- thats why i chose you! no answers or customer service- just pure rudeness. Hope this saves someone some aggrevation and $$."

"Just cancelled my order. Ordered one screw for the lower unit for my motor, 7 days ago, and it still hasn't shipped. Checked the status and they pushed the ship date out again!
Waiting to see what games they want to play. If they charge my card will dispute it and probably cancel the card."

"Poor online and verbal communication. As seen on many other reviews parts showing in stock still not shipped by mail. Nobody to stick them in a box? I asked to add some more parts and nobody responded. I guess they don't need my business anymore. Could be best parts house on the web but at this time IS NOT! Try elsewhere"
