"Very Poor customer service, I had ordered the incorrect part and wanted to return it for the correct one. Took for ever to even get in touch with them. The after I place the order for the correct part, they said the price shown on their site was incorrect so they had to charge me another $20!! Then after 2 weeks of waiting, they never ordered the part so I cancelled that order. Finally got an address to return the original part and they charged over a 30% restocking fee!! Go someplace else for boat parts!"
"Just a so-so business. They are just the middle man. People who rave about how fast their ordered arrive should be thanking the distributor who stocks the product, boxes it, and ships it out. The Boatfix website is almost usless unless you have a catalog. Prices are better than other companies but I believe that to contributed to how small the business is. As long as the distributor has the item in stock, transaction go well. If not, they don't do a good job letting the buyer know the item may take ahile to be received. I had to return something; $38 item. Got an RMA and sent it back. It numerous emails and calls to get a credit; and took 1 1/2 years for it to happen. Mike from boatfix kept saying it was being processed by accounting."
"30' Scarrab, Ordered Jabsco raw water pumps (2) with 3-day delivery option & arranged for dry haul of boat for maintinance on the twins. Order came in wrong. Called 888# & left message as well as on e-mail & Help Desk. Was getting worried after multiple messages were left with no responce. In the meantime I read some existing on line review making me more anxious!
Got through to Elaine today & explained the problem. Elaine placed me on hold & looked into the order/problem. Elaine came back on the line & put me at ease resolving the problem & correcting the order in an amicable manor.
***** FIVE STARS to Elaine!!! She Saved the day! I am in the customer service industry & realize communications (or lack of) is the biggest down fall of business as well as almost every day of our lives!!!
BOATFIX.COM Appears to be a Great resource and I will keep them on my vendors list! They just need to re-tune their customer service & accessability to a "LIVE" person.
All the frustrations expressed in the reviews appear to be lack of communication accessability!
Again, Hat's off the Elaine!! She saved the day! They need to Clone that girl & get more hands on the phone!!
Don't know who Mike is @ BOATSFIX.COM is but this is a a wake up call! You have a good thing going! Fix this gap & make it GREAT!!! Will releive you of headach's as well as retain more "Good" customers (Like Me)!
"I have placed several orders with Boatfix in the past. Most recently early May, I think May 6, 2011. AS always they ship the same day they got the order and I received it at my door the next day. The best prices around, far better than the boat stores or other marine dealers. They've always sent the correct merchandise."
"Bought a Bennett ATC3000 unit from BoatFix, great price, fast shipping. Now, the Complaint. After an inventory of the parts in the pre-openned box, I noticed an ATC 6' Keypad Cable was missing. Without this cable, the unit is worthless. I left a message at BoatFix. Meanwhile, I called Bennett. A Rep at Bennett stated that the Box that my ATC3000 came in should have been taped shut when I received it, it wasn't. The Rep is mailing me a ATC 6' Keypad Cable. Imagine if I had MarineMax tell me all the parts weren't in the box, and proceed to charge me a premium price for the cable during installation. Now, I will wait for the Cable before taking it to MarineMax for installation and maintenance. Shame on you BoatFix......I guess you get what you pay for....low price, missing parts!"

"Usually the best price anywhere, and shipping is ultra fast. Great small-company feel with great prices. The website is sometimes a little hard to navigate, but well worth the effort. "
"Great service BoatFix service is first class, on this last order the item I ordered was on back order from the manufacturer, they contacted me, said that it may be a few days late and ask me if I wanted to cancel and get the item from another vendor – I kept the order with them and received the item the same week- most times I order from them I receive the items within a day or two.
Last year I special ordered $1300 with of product and they let me return them – no questions asked- As long as they sell a product I need will be buy it form them. "
"Miserable experience at boatfix.com. I ordered 3 chart kits from boatfix in early march. I took over 3 weeks for delivery, no order confirmation email was sent. Customer service is terrible, there is NO phone support AT ALL. Boatfix makes you create a ticket online at a helpdesk (designed for software support, not customer service) and worse yet, you have to go back and check the support desk, they NEVER send you an email response !!! Add to that it takes several business days for them to offer a response, and in my case is was a lame excuse that they could not take the charts back, despite the fact that I requested an RMA the day they arrived, because they contained CDs. They were informed that CDs were unopened in tamperproof sleeves. NEVER buy from this company unless you enjoy zero customer support. Prices are good IF you get the product you ordered and need NO support, delivery time is poor.
