"Very Poor customer service, I had ordered the incorrect part and wanted to return it for the correct one. Took for ever to even get in touch with them. The after I place the order for the correct part, they said the price shown on their site was incorrect so they had to charge me another $20!! Then after 2 weeks of waiting, they never ordered the part so I cancelled that order. Finally got an address to return the original part and they charged over a 30% restocking fee!! Go someplace else for boat parts!"
"Just a so-so business. They are just the middle man. People who rave about how fast their ordered arrive should be thanking the distributor who stocks the product, boxes it, and ships it out. The Boatfix website is almost usless unless you have a catalog. Prices are better than other companies but I believe that to contributed to how small the business is. As long as the distributor has the item in stock, transaction go well. If not, they don't do a good job letting the buyer know the item may take ahile to be received. I had to return something; $38 item. Got an RMA and sent it back. It numerous emails and calls to get a credit; and took 1 1/2 years for it to happen. Mike from boatfix kept saying it was being processed by accounting."
"30' Scarrab,Ordered Jabsco raw water pumps (2) with 3-day delivery option & arranged for dry haul of boat for maintinance on the twins. Order came in wrong. Called 888# & left message as well as on e-mail & Help Desk. Was getting worried after multiple messages were left with no responce. In the meantime I read some existing on line review making me more anxious! Got through to Elaine today & explained the problem. Elaine placed me on hold & looked into the order/problem. Elaine came back on the line & put me at ease resolving the problem & correcting the order in an amicable manor.***** FIVE STARS to Elaine!!! She Saved the day! I am in the customer service industry & realize communications (or lack of) is the biggest down fall of business as well as almost every day of our lives!!!BOATFIX.COM Appears to be a Great resource and I will keep them on my vendors list! They just need to re-tune their customer service & accessability to a "LIVE" person.All the frustrations expressed in the reviews appear to be lack of communication accessability!Again, Hat's off the Elaine!! "I have placed several orders with Boatfix in the past. Most recently early May, I think May 6, 2011. AS always they ship the same day they got the order and I received it at my door the next day. The best prices around, far better than the boat stores or other marine dealers. They've always sent the correct merchandise."
"This was my first purchase but am happy with the service. I wanted to verify a part was available before ordering since it was out of stock at many stores. Mike did some checking for me and found the part in a west coast warehouse. He sent me the link to order the part and asked me to email him back once I ordered so that he could make notes to the ordering department the part was in a west coast warehouse. I feel the service provided was outstanding and not what I'm used to and will buy from them again."
"You can get almost anything you need from Boatfix! It is sometimes challenging to find exactly what you need in their catalog and search bars (especially if you don't know what to call it!), but if you email their help desk you won't be disappointed. Shipping from this company is, in a word, "amazing!" There are many time that my order arrives the next day even when I choose the slowest shipping method. Now before you think, but thats UPS, not Boatfix, keep in mind that they have to get the stock ready and boxed in a very short time period in order for UPS to get it to my door.As far as prices go, they are not always the lowest, but they are damned close. Almost every store has those one or two items that you find somewhere else for a few bucks less. Same with Boatfix. Difference is that knowing that I'm getting next or second day shipping service without paying for it almost always comes out better for me. If I find a significant difference they have always beaten it for me. Just takes a help desk ticket.In conclusion, I would highly recommend Boatfix for your marine needs. Quick shipping, great prices and friendly customer service add up to a company you can trust."

"I purchased metal prep, primer and paint from BoatFix. The primer and the paint arrived promptly, but the item I need for first step in painting metal prep is missing. Called BoatFix, answered promptly, a rep says the metal prep is back ordered and don't know when it will get stocked. He said he will find out and call me back with the availability.More than 2 weeks go by, no response. Saturday evening, I finally have time to check on them. No email address to follow up, only their online HelpDesk which requires registration. Who needs that. I hate sites that hide behind their own internal mailing system. It's worse than voicemail. I can't get a copy of my email as a record. I will be cancelling the order and find accountable and responsible online stores to purchase from."
"I ordered a Power Pack from BoatFix. I needed the part by a certain date for a trip we had planned. There were some issues with UPS and BoatFix stuck with the UPS issue and made sure I had the part by the time I needed it today. They did not take the easy way out and just blame it on UPS which is what I’m used to hearing with many other online places I have dealt with. The new part is on and the motor is now running great. The 3 of us are happy to be able to keep out fishing plans. I was skeptical of the help desk at first, but it actually makes the service much better as it keeps track of all the communication. I didn’t have to keep repeating my issues to various people. All of this and the price was the best I could find. I’m sold I’ll be shopping here for my parts when needed.Thanks."
"First, BoatFix did get my order to me in a timely manner.BUT....several points came up or are currently in flux.First, the order's shipping alert email came....the day the order was delivered. After getting an order confirmation, no other email was forthcoming in any sort of a timely manner. How difficult is it to email the order's tracking number when it's assigned/shipped? Sending it to me after the order was delivered was useless, at best.Second, UPS destroyed the box the order came in and a part was lost. UPS contacted BoatFix days ago. I started a trouble ticket with Boatfix the day the problem was discovered...the day the package arrived. I actually got an initial response from Boatfix, but now, cannot get any sort of response from them....trouble ticket, email...nothing.It's almost as if they got my money and now with an issue, they'll be damned if they're going to help fix the problem.So, while BoatFix has cheap prices, don't count on them for any sort of help or support after the sale. A cheap price has its costs and with Boatfix, the price is no support after the sale.My suggestion, go to iboats, Boats.net, Wholesale Marine....any of the bigger guys. Sure, the price may be higher but I'll wager you'll have some support if there's a problem. Boatfix couldn't care less."
"We bought a Jabsco marine toilet for our houseboat here in the Keys. Aside from saving over 40% I had the pleasure of dealing with Mike M. during the transaction. He was extremely professional, concise, helpful, and I would (will) deal with him again in a heartbeat. We initially had no ship date so he researched, told me the status AND kept me updated without me having to ask. The website could use some tweaking with regard to getting to the proper customer service department but that is almost a moot point. My last Internet buying experience was "less than desirable" (i.e. a nightmare) so to purchase something from Boatfix was a pleasant no-brainer. We received exactly what we ordered, as well. Kudos to Boatfix. "
