I made 2 sep purchaces/camera body/camera lense.I was told to call verify purchase, I did then was told the lense i wanted didn't work well with my camera body, needed to upgrade to a better nikon lense, so i agreed. I then tried to find the nikon lense i upgrded to on the internet,no where to be found. Found out it was a sigma lense ? I called and told them i didn't want it and they said it was to late that it already shipped.Even though i called before the item shipped.(phone record and ups record) Then got an email saying the camera body i ordered was 8 weeks delaid so they cancelled my order on the camera body. Also they removed my original order for the nikon lense in my account and never put in the order for the sigma lense in my account, gee i wonder why? obvious now they didn't want a paper trail of there switch. Please inform the New York Attorney Generals office this place is running a scam operation, they need to be shut down. And I want all my money back. I attempted to place an order for a Canon EOS 50D with 2 lenses with Bing Cameras. I ended up with a Bait n Switch sales person, Nate Larson who blatantly lied to me about what he was selling me. They refused to cancel the order 5 min after it was placed. Refused to accept my returning everything without charging over $600. I have complaints in with The Better Business Bureau of N.Y., The Federal Trade Commission & Chase Credit Card Fraud dept. I have shipped the box back, insured & to be signed for. I have no idea if I'll see any of my money $2698.

This was absolutely the worst company that I have ever dealt with. Please do not buy anything from them. I first ok'd my order without really realizing that they switched lenses on me to one that I didn't order in the first place. Very pushy with trying to upsale other products as well.
After I said ok to the purchase, I immediately went and looked up the company because I got a sketchy feeling. Everything I read said to not buy from them. I called RIGHT back asking the "supervisor" Dave to please cancel my order. He gave me the run-a-round for THIRTY minutes, basically ending up calling me an idiot for not wanting to go through with this "great" offer, getting very upset with me for no reason, and being very unprofessional. He then told me that I would have to pay 150+ dollars to cancel my order plus parts of my order were nonrefundable (even though I was never told that in the first place).
Horrible service.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!! I had a bate and switch situation from this place. Along with credit card fraud after I cancled my transaction. (I have never had fraud before this) Plese do not use these guys!! I ordered a D300 package and they switched me to a "better" d5000 package which it wasn't. They gave me the you need this and that to go with the package after they got my security code. Which they call the next day for. Only after I notified my credit card company and put the charges under dispute did they give me a return order number.

Hi, I am hoping to write a positive review for Bingo Cameras. I recently ordered a camcorder and paid extra for 3-day shipping. A day after I placed the order, I received an email to confirm the order for security purposes. I was instructed to call them. That seemed strange but I called and confirmed the order. They didn't try to upsell or cross-sell me but instead simply said ok the camera would ship out within a day. As I said, I'm hoping to write a positive review. I'll update this message as soon as the camera arrives. If I read all the feedback about this company before ordering the camera, I would have shopped elsewhere. Keeping my fingers crossed - pcdude
The rest of the story... I waited several days for an order to arrive and received nothing. I called was told the camera that I ordered was a "gray" market version and it was on backorder. I was told that an email was sent to me informing me of this status. That never happened. The best part of the conversion was listening to to sales guy tell me they had the same camera with the battery and charger, which is what I expected, for more money (of course), and it was in stock. Ok, I'm convinced there are better people to do business with. Advice to Bingo for what it's worth.. Clean up the business model, do away with the bait and switch routine - not worth the lost customers and the bad press. Simply accept a little less margin than the big guys and go for volume with high focus on customer satisfaction. best of all improve the online order experience. List exactly what the customer purchased, pricing, shipping, and provide a shipping tracking number. Do away with the follow-up phone call asking for the security code from a credit card. A follow up email with the order confirmation and tracking similar to ebay works well. Until then, avoid this reseller. This review was modified by its author, pcdude7436, on

Wish I had read this site before. I fell for a Bait and Switch. Not a Sigma fan but bought the story, was driving at time of call from Ralph. He claimed better spec and performance than the Canon IS USM DO 70-300 lens. What I got was a lens that street price was $209.00 sold to me for $599.00. Kevin was one guy at the site nice, but programmed to stall you by telling to try out, that lens was better. When confronted with price difference he said was not right and said several sites sell same price is new Lens. I called Sigma direct and was told lens had a list price of $280.00 but shows on Bingo at $590.00 When I tried to get RMA was put on hold or said they would call back. They list most Nikon and Canon lens for much less than any one on the web. It seems they drag you in with these prices, with the intent of switching you or telling you they are out of stock. When I tried to get the lens I originally wanted they said it was out of stock 6-8 weeks!
I got no emails on either order and when I looked on their site under myaccount there was nothing there even now 8-25-09
I returned lens and registered them with American Express as a Bait n Switch site. STOPPED PAYMENT
Alan
I have bought a lot of stuff on the WEB and Bingo got me good. I will never again buy from a reseller without research again. This site opened my eyes!

I wish I would have found this site before ordering from them. I just ordered the Sony HDR-XR500V HD camcorder to record my wedding. I called in to double check that this was a new Sony factor sealed camcorder with 1 year USA warranty and it was. The "manager" tried to get me to buy batteries and other features at a rediculusly overpriced amount. I already have three of the 8 hr batteries, 3 8GB memory chips, a camcorder bag, wide and telephoto lense from my other Sony Camcorder. Once he found out that I didn't need to buy any accessories (which I would never do at those rediculus prices anyway), he determined that they "ran out of stock" of them and that it would be another 6 to 8 weeks.
So I called right back into sales and pretended to want to buy one and miraculously they had them in again. Until of course the point where I would not buy any accessories at their overpriced amount.
NOW, I am forced to pay overnight shipping to get the camcorder here in time for my wedding. Had this company been honest up front, I would never had "bought" from them and purchased somewhere else.
ALSO... SkyPointDigital.com is the EXACT same store. I had called Bingo at least 12 times and had written down the times and names of each person. When I was looking to buy elsewhere, I first started looking at SkyPointDigital.com I thought it was weird that the website, store, verbiage, gimics, etc all seemed to be the same. Then when I called them, they both use the same exact PBX switch, same after hours message (just different person) and the 2 times I called SkyPointDigital it was two of the same people I had talked to at Bingo.
Watch out for these low life "businesses" and do research on their track record at websites like this first. And like my grandpa always told me, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true." I should have known better.

I got hit with a bait and switch too. I order the Canon XH-A1 at a good price (I figured it was low since it's the older model of this series). I called up to confirm, and ended up being pushed into a higher package. I get the box, and it's the wrong camera. It's the AV40, a camera that Best Buy sells for $1000, and which I payed a little over $2000 for. I called to dispute figuring they'd apologize for their mistake, but they claimed that's what I ordered, and refused to give me a full refund! They were very hostile towards me. They went on and on about how I should just keep the camera because it's such a great deal. Hey, True Blood shoots with it they say. I priced the camera and the extras, and estimate it's only worth $1200.
Avoid these scammes like the plaque.

Just yesterday I ordered a Canon 50D PACKAGE from Bingo Cameras and placed my order with a credit card. Later in the day I was called by a salesperson who tried his best to bump me up into extra batteries at 6X the price of the Canon batteries, memory cards etc. I would not let him bump me up on anything extra and got the EXPECTED E-MAIL from them the next day that the camera package was out of stock and would not be in for 6-8 weeks. Previously I attempted to purchase a Canon powershot A590 with the same results. If you do not allow them to "bump you up" on needless items above the listed price of the camera they will cancel the order saying it is out of stock. Clearly criminal behavior. I've filed a report with the Feds regarding this behavior. ADDENDUM: A week after I gave these guys my credit card number and my security code I started getting fradulent charges on my Credit card and had to close the account BEWARE******** This review was modified by its author, DennyP, on

I have read most of the reviews on Bingo Camera and the overall theme is that they have very poor service including bait and switch, hang ups, and misinformation. My story which started yesterday and quickly ended today is similar in nature. I ordered a camcorder because the price was the lowest of all sites (be careful) and quickly noticed that they wanted to sell me a memory card 32GB SDHC for over $400. They said that this "high speed" card was a necessary component to have with the camera. I called Canon and they said that card was unnecessary and I purchased one for $100. I just wanted the camcorder and that was it and seeing that their bait/switch tactics were not working with me, they hung up on me when I called back to ask more questions. I told them that I was going on vacation in 2 weeks and that I needed the camera in 3-5 days so he added $30 to my order. When I checked back on online order, I noticed that under products ordered there was an "X" marked in the box, no description of my camera. I called back and talked with Kevin who told me that the product I ordered was their overseas model and that it was on 6-8 back order!!!! He wanted to know if I wanted to order the USA model which comes with the battery and other components. I also know that the contents of the box (from the factory) does contain the battery (which Bingo Cameras removes) and they try to sell you a high end battery as an add on. I cancelled the order and cancelled my credit card as well just to be safe. Wow, what an experience!. Terrible

PLEASE PAY HEED TO THESE WARNINGS!!!! I unsuspectingly got scammed by these jerks too! Save yourself the headache, time and
B.S., STAY AWAY! Some slick talking guy named Ralph conned me into to buying a super charged battery for $199, when one doesn't exist. It is in fact the stock battery that comes with the camera. He sold me a an $18 dollar memory card for $147. The original package of $444 is to lure you and and use a bait and switch on you. I am currently in the process of fighting this with my credit card company. BINGO has been harassing me with phone calls since I filed my dispute. Where do these people get the nerve to rip people off of their hard earned money. They claim that their competitors are writing these reviews to discredit them. I will fight this for as long as it takes. It's all about karma what goes around comes around. May the fleas of a thousand camels nest in their armpits! I recently bought a macro lens from this company, and at first I was very fearful that I had made a mistake in doing so. While I did feel a bit pressured to puchase more items, for which I did, the extra items weren't high dollar items, and they were to protect the lens. Ralph could sell poop on the street corner, and he reminded me of a car salesman. He was very kind, but pushy, and hardly understood the word "no". But that's what sales people do. I called back on a couple of occasions to express my concerns and dealt with a young man by the name of Kevin. He was very professional and patient with me. I was less than nice to him on one occasion, but he never stopped being professional or patient. I called again to report one of the items had not been sent and Kevin, once again, was a sweet heart. He stated he would order the item and have it shipped to me. No hassles, he just took care of it. Would I recommend this company? Yes. Will I use them again? Yes.

I ordered a Nikkor 18-200 vr lens from this company via the webb for $489.00. I called them first to find out if it came with a USA warranty. They said it did and that should order via the web for faster processing. Which I did. Later that day I got a call from a guy named Ralph (I doubt that it's his real name). Ralph wanted the three digit security code from my credit card which for some reason wasn't wasn't on their web form. Then Ralph advised me that this was an old lens and I got the last one. he said the NEW lens has an updated chip in it. sounded like a legitimate upgrade at the time. So, not knowing that the story was not true I said OK to the new lens and a UV filter for a package price of $631.00. Still a good price for that Nikkor lens.
Ralph was to email me an invoice. I didn't get the invoice so I called customer service the next day who did send me an invoice.By the time I read the invoice, I got a shipping notification. To my shock the invoice said they shipped a Sigma 18-200 os lens instead of the Nikkor. A lens you by from Amazon for $399.98. Called customer sevice again, was treated rudely. I advised that I would contact the State Attorney General about this bait and switch act. I was told to refuse the shipment but if complained. the would charge a 15% restocking instead of 10%. I did refuse the shipment. Let see what happens. The bottom line is, PLEASE LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE.DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE.
Here is an update. Discussed the matter with Kevin and received a full refund in a timely manner. This review was modified by its author, IAMANIDIOT, on
