"Very dissatisfied with this company, if you can call it a company. My order was placed on 5/13/08 and promptly charged to my card. By 5/19/08 I had received no communication from the "company" nor had they returned email or calls. Worst of all, when I logged into My Account on 5/19 it showed that I had order 4 of the same product with a charge of $170. Finally got them on the phone after leaving an assertive message. Promised me that the product had just arrived and would be shipped "today". Just couldn't overcome that uneasy feeling, so I called back to cancel. Took three calls to make contact. I canceled the order and received a confirmation email and I'm waiting for the refund now. I will never do business with this "company" again. I believe it's probably only one person, maybe a college student. Who knows?! Do business elsewhere."

"I didn't think to check reviews of this place at first, since their website store seemed legit. I did end up getting my order (see below) but would never do business with them again.

I ordered an Onguard Beast 5016 chain. After a couple days of no response, I had to call them to get a tracking number. The chain and lock arrived, but they included an old model 2005 lock. This is ridiculous, since lock technology often changes if there is a security breach.

Their product page shows the new model disc lock, but they ship out old ones. I am not surprised after reading the rest of the reviews here.

I went back and checked their online store after reading reviews here. They don't use any encription at all during the check-out process! What the hell kind of online business it that? I am lucky they didn't (or haven't) stolen my credit card info.

"Poor Customer Service. Received a defective trainer, they claimed I did not mount the bike on the unit correctly but that was not the problem. Would not refund return shipping of the defective unit."

No, seriously, this is one lame, pathetic place to shop. Don't. Just don't shop there -- even if they have the best deal on something, their crappy shipping, dubious business practices, and complete lack of customer response (would it kill you to actually answer the phone or respond to email?) puts them about as far down the list as you can get. Between the four of us in my family we have 11 bikes, so I am constantly buying replacement parts, clothes and etc. for both mountain and road bikes. I've shopped Pricepoint, Nashbar, Performancebike, Alfred E Bike, Treehouse Bikes, Speedgoat and countless other shops over the years, both online and off, and while they certainly haven't all been stellar I can't remember ever beeing so completely bummed about a bike shop. I usually like people who work at bike shops -- I assume that, because they like bikes, bikers and biking, they must be "good people". But evidently the crowd behind bikesomewhere.com couldn't care less about their customers, and it shows. I needed the stuff I ordered for a big ride this coming weekend, and now I've got to go out and get it locally instead. Next time, maybe I'll just do that in the first place, and leave bikesomewhere.com the hell alone.

So, you send me an order confirmation on the 2nd, charge my credit card on the 3rd, and yet not until I email you on the 10th to ask where my stuff is do you take that key step of shipping the damn stuff?!? How long would it have been sitting in your warehouse if I hadn't taken action?

I'll let this review join the many here and at bizrate (including several that mention their inability to actual ship the product they sell), and hopefully it'll keep at least a couple of customers from having the same sorry experience I had. I'm bummed at qbike.com for even bothering to list items from bikesomewhere.com -- they really should filter their stuff better.

So, thanks for nothing, bikesomehwere.com, that was a total waste of time and money. Let's see if you survive this season -- I hope not."

"Pros: Website is well-designed & easy to navigate, some VERY good prices, order shipped quickly.

Cons: Emails to customer service unanswered. Was added to their e-newsletter without my consent (although I was able to unsubscribe). Sale prices had inexplicably changed when I referred friends to them(?)"

"I was anxious on ordering my first pair of mountain biking shoes and pedals. After locating the items I wanted and assuming the price was the best price available on line (including shipping costs) I placed an order with Bikesomewhere for Shimano shoes (SH-MT42NV) and Dual Pedals (PD-A530). After submitting my order I went back to see reviews from this web site - and primarily came across negative comments. I was worried enough that I had them on the phone (after the first call) and tried to confirm the items were being sent. My personal experience was TOP NOTCH. I received everything exactly when they said (the order was placed on 5/18 and received 5/26) The merchandise was packaged exactly the same way it would have been in a premium bike shop. I still haven't figured out if the negative reviews are Bogus or if I was lucky. Because of my experience I will definitely purchase from BikeSomeWhere again!!!!!!!!"

"Buyer Beware!!!! There is absolutely NO customer service.I placed my order on 5/5/2011 for a pair of P.I. road shoes .They were in true red/silver ,after seeing and ordering them i saw the exact shoe in black/white which i thought were nicer. mind you on the same day i wrote them an email and left a message on their answering machine. As a previous reviewer mentioned, you'll never find someone on the phone (even during regular buiss. hours).I did that for 3 consecutive days without a response.(thur-Sat). That following mon. i recieved an email from ellie saying that the black pair wouldn't be avail. until may 29th would i wait? before i even had a chance to reply they were shipped via UPS. again i will NEVER buy anything from them again,thay have NO RESPECT for their customers."

"I ordered through Amazon from Bikesomewhere. Worst experience I've ever had shopping online.

They never shipped the item. When I emailed them to inquire as to why the item had not shipped, the reply was vague and made no explanations.

"Thank you for your recent order. We apologize that your order has not yet shipped. Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail with tracking information. Please note 3rd Party Sites (such as ups.com) can take up to 24 hours to update tracking information. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this delay."

They did not even indicate when it WOULD be shipped. Simply unacceptable. I've wasted almost 2 weeks waiting for the product. I already requested to cancel the order. Stay away if possible."

"I was a satisfied Bikesomewhere.com customer until this order. A couple of previous orders shipped promptly and arrived quickly, but not this order. My card was charged immediately and the order did not ship until 10 days later, arriving on the 13th day after ordering. No one ever answers the phone and they are slow to respond to e-mail. If I ever order from them again, it will only be because I can't find the item elsewhere."

"Dont buy anything from these guys. Buyer beware. I ordered a ski helmet from them 2 weeks before Christmas for my son. I never got any confirmation email so I decided to check with them a few days before Christmas to see if they had the item and if it had been shipped. They replied that the item was on the way, until Christmas Eve when I got an email saying that the order was cancelled. Like MERRY Christmas. Dont order from these guys."
