"I ordered the book on Monday, and received an invoice. I wrote them on Tuesday to get an idea of delivery date, no reply. No phone number in on the site, I continued emailing and faxing with no success. I started researching and it became apparent that they sell books that they do not have in stock. Since I needed this for a class, I found another copy elsewhere. I have sent them a cancelation request everyday for 2 days both by email and fax, never a reply. The more I have read about them the worst it gets. I believe that they also own/manage Ecampus. Ecampus is the same address and yet they say that they are out of stock for the book? I would not recommend either company."

"I now know that Biggerbooks and Ecampus are the same company (same address, same customer service, same billing).
FYI, Since Biggerbooks refuses to publish their phone number, call the Ecampus customer service number: (888-388-9909).
I ordered 2 books, then tried to cancel the next day, via email. I cancelled because I got "upsold" to more expensive shipping than I asked for (their web interface is a real pain to navigate). They sent a cancellation email, but then I continued to get autogenerated emails saying my order would ship soon. Since I didn't have their number, I sent emails, which were ignored, and it did get shipped.
On a positive note, the person on the phone (Ecampus) was extremely friendly, and said to refuse shipment at the post office and return the package to sender, with a refund to follow in 5 weeks.
It has been 3 weeks so far; too early to tell if I'll get a refund.

Nice or not, it was a big inconvenience."

"Unfortunately, I didn't look at the reviews before making my purchase. I selected 2 day shipping and since there was no indication of a delay on the web site when they would process the order and ship my product, I assumed it would take no more than 2 days + the 2 days shipping which would give me what I purchased at the end of week, but I just now got an email saying that it will take 2 weeks. After the other reviews, I might consider myself lucky if I get it that fast. I'm considering cancelling my order and paying a little more elsewhere so I can get my purchase in a TIMELY manner. "

"It's been over 2 weeks and I still have not received my books. When I tried to call their customer service, I get disconnected after going through their little maze of phone options.

Emailed them and was told "It says in our website it can take up to 9 days to get your book in..."

By far the worst book company out their. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a kid working out of his mom's garage.

EDIT: I did receive the book couple of days after this review and the product was in new condition.
You might be ok with ordering from them if you have 4 weeks before your class starts.
I changed the rating to reflect my experience"

"Purchased a manual from here. Site said ussually ships in 2-3 days, ordered on monday, shipped friday. E-mailed support twice on thursday, no reply. E-mail was sent early friday morning to cancelation department and customer service, told them to cancel order, they sipped it anyway. What is even worse is when I got the package it had e-campus plastered all over it. The packing slip didn't have anything referring to biggerbooks.com! Will not do bussiness with this company again!"

"This has got to be one of the worst transactions of my life. I decided to save some money by ordering my textbooks online this year. This was the only transaction I wasn't worried about since it was (I thought) a big, reputable company and the other books were ordered from individual sellers on Ebay and Amazon. Boy, was I wrong! After placing all of my orders, I promptly received confirmation notices from the sellers to let me know my orders were received. Not Biggerbooks. Then when I went to their website to look up the status of my order, I kept getting an error message that didn't recognize my information. I sent e-mails explaining that I was anxious to receive the book as I already had assignments due this week which required using the book. No reply. Today, finally at my wits end, I decided to do an online search for some way to contact them by phone. I figured that I couldn't be the only one with this type of experience and I was right. My search yielded the previous entry by "Invisible Hand" here on resellerratings.com explaining that Biggerbooks and Ecampus were one in the same. I immediately called and, after holding for 27 minutes, was greeted by a human. She explained to me that they had an "invalid" e-mail address for me and so my order was cancelled. Turns out they only had the first part (nothing after the @ sign), which is funny since I have a screen capture of the order which shows all of my correct information. She explained that without a funtioning e-mail address, there was no way for them to contact me. Nevermind the fact that I was spending way too much of my time trying to reach them with no success. The worst part about this whole transaction was that she never once apologized for my inconvenience and, at the end of the call, asked if I still wanted to follow through with the order. I should have just paid the extra $30 and purchased it right away from my campus bookstore!"

"Ordered a used textbook on 8-17-2004. Delivery was promised on 8-23-2004. On 8-24-2004, received an email saying that the book was not availble but a new book would be shipped instead. Now it is 9-7-2004 and the book hasn't arrived nor has the shipping confirmation email. Company has yet to respond. How can a company like this stay in buisiness with so many excellent used textbook companies our there? "

"Very frustrated with this company--can relate to many of the comments already posted! Placed an order August 27 and a week and a half later, I was expecting the order and received an email noticed saying the book was unavailable. I have emailed the company several times and have not received response. Of course there is no phone number to call (thank you to whoever posted the ecampus #). Today is September 12 and I still do not know what is going on, nor do I have the book. Will not do service with them again! "

"don't buy from this place. It seems like they never have their books in stock and takes weeks to get them in. Do your self a favor and buy else where. Even ecampus(main company of biggerbooks) is better."

"STOP RIGHT NOW and don't even consider ordering from BiggerBooks.com. Every word that you see written in these reviews is accurate. The company totally sucks in every way, shape and form. Do NOT waste your time with them. You will not get your book and you will get no response from the alleged "Customer Service Department" (which wasn't even open when I called during the posted hours). Every inquiry I sent went unanswered until I finally just cancelled the order. I sent a copy of every email to eCampus as well, and got no response from them either. It's maddening! Satisfaction guaranteed 100??? That's just someone's idea of a sick joke, probably meant to drive us nuts while the company sits back howling with laughter about what a bunch of schmucks we've all been."
