"The book I was looking for was listed and after "purchasing" it I received an email that they were not able to find the book. If you don't have it or can't get it - don't list it."
"DO NOT purchase from these CROOKS!!! You will not get your merchandise on time, you will not be able to get in touch with them! You will not get a response on any of your emails! How I DEALT with it at the very end if you want to just read that!
I ordered my book on Jan 1st, class would start on the 14th. Here are their emails.
1/1/2013: We are now processing order #2443223. You will receive an email from us as each portion of your order is shipped. Charges on your credit card for this order will list “A Book Company” as the merchant. 1/5/2013: Due to a change in availability from our original supplier of this item, we are still awaiting its arrival in our facility. We anticipate, at this time, that we will still be able to supply this book to you soon. Currently, there is no new due date.We are sorry for any problems that may be caused due to this delay. You will be notified by email once your item(s) ship from our shipping facility. 1/7/2013: It still had not arrived, so I CANCELLED MY ORDER and told them not to send it and just 2 hours after I sent that email they sent me an email saying that it has been shipped. I tried to order the freaking return slip so that as soon as it arrived I could sent it back to them on time, but they never responded or sent me one. You apparently have to get his slip from them. GOOD luck with getting them on email or phone. I literally sent them about 10 emails and I called and was on the phone for 4 freaking hours!!!!! FOUR!!!!! I went through two of my home phone batteries and no one ever answered!!!!
I took the book to the post office, BLACKENED my name out so they would not just redeliver it to me. Left the package closed and returned to deliverer! COST is on them! I am calling my bank to file a complaint and get my money back! "
"This is the worst company I think I've had to do business with in years. They advertised a book that I purchased through Amazon Marketplace. I paid for the book, and a week later I receive an email saying they can't fill my book order so they are giving me a $3 coupon for another purchse. Nowhere in the email are they stating they're refunding my $20 plus $3.95 in freight. So now I'm on hold indefinitely and no answer. This is my 3rd phone call this morning and my phone counter on this attempt just ticked off 23:06 minutes. I've sent repeated emails, no response either. Looks like I'm going to have to go the bank now, and file a complaint with Visa (or online with PayPal) to have my money returned to me.
This company is a scam - they take your money, won't fill your book order, and you'll never get hold of anyone that can actually answer questions or refund your money.
How predatory companies like this not get shut down in this country is sickening."

"BiggerBooks claimed that they have in stock a book I needed. Amazon had this book for lower price but honestly indicated that book is out of stock. So I ordered from BiggerBooks for higher price. Eventually received email that book is out of stock and I should wait. Want my money back, but there are no replies on emails. No "next available agent" on phone - could wait all day long their music and "your call is very important to us". Very bad."
"I purchased a set of books to use for work from BiggerBooks. The package was delivered by the post office but apparently not to my house. After going round and round with BiggerBooks and the post office, neither would take responsibility for my order and I'm just out $52.93. Shame on me for not looking at their customer ratings before purchasing the books! But you can bet I won't be doing anymore business with them!
ETA: Once I posted this review, they agreed to refund this purchase. My question is why couldn't the first person I contacted do this? I am happy to get the refund as I really can't afford to just throw money away, but I'm leaving my rating as one star due to the distress of having to deal with them and the post office."

"sucks. wish i read the reviews before i brought book. i placed an order i needed for an online course. a few days after they took my money out of my account i received an email stating they did not have my book and could not give a date of when they would. after reading reviews i canceled my order i got 2 different emails about the refund policy. one said 24 hours the other said 2 - 10 days. i did get it back within a week and was suprised. i would never shop on this site again. they should not post books available when they do not have them in stock."
"AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! This company should be investigated for fraud! They will sell you books they do not have in stock. They will not tell you that, though. They will show the book is available and then claim to be unable to 'FIND' the book they just sold you. They wasted NO TIME in getting my money though. When I questioned them about it, they sent me an email telling me that THEY were canceling my order. I am turning them over to my attorney. A bunch of criminals....avoid them at all cost!"
"Of all the book ordering sites thus far my experience with BiggerBooks.com was the worst. I called customer service and they basically had no idea when the book would ship. I tried calling Customer Service to cancel the order at 4:30 pm EST only to have to wait approx. 8 minutes then my call was dropped twice. Then another call at 4:45 pm gave me a message that I need to call back during operating business hours 9am - 5pm EST. My call was at 4:45"
"Worst company ever. An attempt at calling them will result in 30minutes or more of waiting. If you try call back feature, the phone will ring once then hang up. Company handles customer service for multiple used textbook companies which all seem to be affiliated in some way. Emails receive no response. If you don't need the book for 2 months it may be worth a try because you will have time to work through issue otherwise, save hassle, the few dollar saving is not worth it, trust me."
"The worst internet buying experience I've ever had. My dealings with the IRS have been far more timely and cordial than this experience.
I ordered a book and paid for the upgrade shipping to make sure I got it by the next week. I received a confirmation email stating that the order was being processed. My debit card was charged the next day. Five days after the order was placed, an email arrived stating that the book was unavailable with no known ship date.
I called customer service and selected their call back option. They never called back. The next day I called again and after 50 minutes, I finally got a representative. They put me on hold to check something about the order and the call was dropped. I called back and waited 15 minutes and my phone battery died (seriously!?!?) So, I called Again on our other phone. After a 23 minute wait, I was finally assisted in cancelling the order. I was told that they were still looking for a supplier for the book. There was no indication when ordering the book that it was not in stock at the time.
"I was informed a textbook was unavailable 5 days after ordering it (when it showed it was available). The email came to me at 3:50 pm central time. I read it about 4:05. Customer service closes at 5pm eastern. So doe the email through contact us on their website apparently. So first thing this morning, I called customer service and cancelled the order. Got the cancellation email. Went and ordered it elsewhere because classes begin shortly. Then at 3:36 pm central received a notice my book had been shipped. I looked and my order was in fact cancelled on the website. Now I have to do the song and dance routine when the book gets here to get a return and refund & be subject to their re-stocking fees(all within a 15 day deadline from the original ship date). This is the first & last time I ever use this or their affiliated companies. They are the worst I have dealt with. "
