I'm sorry to hear of dissatisfied customers of BPAV, since my first experience with them was SO amazing! I ordered a mio 300. for three days I tried to get confirmation on the order with no luck Finally some one wrote me and said it was not ordered so I ordered it again. the following day I get an e mail telling me its not available. So I purchased a different unit from someone else. I was not satisfied with the service.

After returning a camera back to Abe's of Maine for selling me a gray market item without telling me, then sending a camera back to Adorama for selling me an open box item as new, then returning a camera locally at Wolf Camera for selling me an open box item as new as well, BPAV came through with flying colors. No up-selling tactics like Abe's of Maine, and stood by their word of actually selling me a brand-new US warrantied camera. Beware. Will charge you 20 percent restocking if you have to return even a DEFECTIVE item. Slow delivery if not paying premium delivery fee (took 2 weeks). Will not shop from this retailer again.

This order was for one of the very popular Pure Digital Flip Video pocket camcorders. Upon it's return it was tested and proved to be working perfectly (we later re-sold the item on eBay and it worked perfectly for that customer as well), but this customer just wanted to send it back for a full refund after he used it, therefore he thought insisting it was defective was his only option. There would have been no restocking fee had the customer just allowed us to exchange it and we were more than willing to exchange the unit for another one, even a different product completely - but we were stonewalled at every attempt to satisfy him. As for the shipping time... not sure where that comes from. Everyone knows BPAV has some of the fastest standard shipping options in the business. BestPriceAudioVideo had a great price on the TV I wanted and it arrived in perfect condition. The only hitch with my order was an inventory problem that resulted in a slight delay in my shipment. The staff at BestPriceAudioVideo was very apologetic and promised to take steps to make sure that it wouldn't happen again. It was definitely worth the slight inconvenience to get such a good price on this TV.

I order Canon 52mm UV filter for my new 50mm F/1.8 Nikkor prime lens. This is my second order. My first one was for my D80 kit lens. As before, this Canon UV filter is cheap and great. I love them and happy to have my Nikkor lens protected.

Customer service completely ignored me. They put my order on hold because of a typo in my phone number, and I emailed the correction to them twice -- with no response. A week later my order showed up as canceled on their website, with no explanation or even a notification email. I couldn't call them because their phone lines are only open while I'm at work. And, yes, I checked my spam folder (even though their order confirmation email came to me just fine) -- spam folder was empty. They are simply ignoring me.

Though it may seem futile, now, I do want to apologize for instances like this as they seemed to happen far too often during the past year. We had identified some holes in our fraud prevention system that caused us to tighten up our practices quite a bit. This definitely led to more orders getting held up than should have been and we clearly saw that once orders were held up for fraud prevention they weren't following our standard levels of performance in getting out of our offices. Today, we feel we have now made all necessary adjustments to our systems and workflow to ensure that all orders are processed in a much more appropriate manner and look forward to showing off our fulfillment speed throughout 2009. Was looking for a Canon EF 50mm F/1.4 Lens with a US warranty. After checking multiple webstore price search websites, this store came up with the lowest price of 309 including tax and shipping. There were a few other sites with a cheaper price, but most of them looked like the usual bait and switch, grey market import sites with pretty bad reviews on resellerratings.com.
I purchased the the lens at 1:47am that morning and got a shipped email at 2:03PM, got a UPS tracking number for ground delivery. Came in a new, unused box, and included a genuine Canon Warranty slip. Lens works great, I'm happy the lens is a legit US version with the warranty and the pictures look awesome.
I would probably purchase from this company again.

I ordered a canon 28-135 IS lens and a 72mm canon uv haze filter from these guys. The filter arrived in what appeared to be USED condition with a smudges and a scratch through it. I called their customer service line and they lady who answered the phone was neither friendly nor helpful. The condition of my lens is suspect as well and I will most likely be sending it to canon for calibration under warranty. I will never purchase another product from BPAV again.

I ordered a Tamrac 5692 camera bag. Every part of the order process was flawless: from order date to order arrival was 2 business days, product was new and not opened, and undamaged.

Bought a Canon 18-55mm IS lens from them because it was OOS at most other major retailers; The order was shipped promptly but received a Canon 18-55mm USM II instead, a lens worth roughly half of the lens that I did order.
I called customer support and they were very apologetic but they were out of the 18-55mm IS lens. Originally the refund amount didn't include the shipping cost I originally paid, but a quick phone call quickly fixed that. This review was modified by its author, pawong, on

This is my second time shopping at BPAV. Very smooth transactions. Normally shipped same day. Even the free UPS ground shipping was very fast. There was no hiden fee, up sells or anything like that.
I sent back a Canon lens for exchange but forgot to take the UV filter off. After received the new one, called back about the filter. They found it and sent back to me for free. Very helpful.
