It clearly is stated on the document that must be signed by the customer that if you choose not to check the merchandise, that you waive all rights to claim it damaged.
In this case, the merchandise was not marked damaged and therefore we at Bellamai Furniture could not claim it as freight damage, nor as a manufacturer defect because of the customer not checking the merchandise upon receipt.
We did offer the customer a significant discount on replacement chairs, but the customer would not accept it.
Please note: when dealing with any furniture company, check the merchandise upon arrival. Most furniture companies have this same policy.
Thanks.”
"I order a table, bench, and a chaise lounge.
The table shows several cracks including one that goes all along vertically at the corner joint of both legs. The top of the table seems that was repainted and there is a 2 inch scratch that was fixed on a certain area. The sanded area around the scratch is visible since there is a different texture there. The scratch is also noticeable. The dark paint has bled over the maple insets of the table top. Overall, this seems to be a floor model that was refurbished for sale. We bought it as it was brand new according to the website. I'm not used to see such poor quality in tables that cost 1/3 of this price.
After one year emailing pictures and waiting for a replacement, this looks like a lost cause. I would not recommend this seller."
