"When I do business with a new merchant I create a unique email alias (like 999bmgmusic@myprovider.com). Most never receive any mail except from the original merchant, but out of over 100 unique aliases, my BMGMUSIC address ranks about #4 for amount of spam. Ads for electronics, DVDs, pharmaceuticals, auto and home loans -- it gets them all. I've never used/listed/typed that unique address anywhere but on BMG's web site. BMG obviously sells their customer email list to spammers. I'll never do business with them again. I wonder how much of the paper junk mail I get is because BMG has my street address."
"They send you stuff you dont order - and charge your credit card with out asking.
Sure it seems like a good deal - 12 cd's for the price of one, but then they send you stuff and charge you for it.
I sent back the reply card stating that I dont want any, but they sent me this Nelly cd (and I dont even like that kind of music) and charged my credit card with out asking me (they had it on file) I sent the cd back asking for a refund, but I havent gotten it yet. I might end up loosing $22.70 for one cd that I didnt order!!!!"
"I ordered from them and got a really sweet deal! They're great to use if you make sure you pay attention to what happens. It ends up being about $4.50 per CD!
The problem arises if they don't have a CD in stock or such as that they just cancel it and make you order another one. Plus their customer service is horrible if you ever need it.
If you want a great deal and don't mind the hassle, then use this company."
"After several years as the BMG Music Club member, I still give these guys a lot of business - the selection is very good and the prices are unbeatable!"
"After I fulfill my obligation, they still send me the reply card and ask me to rely before the deadline, otherwise they will send me the feature selection automatically. This is really bad idea. Why should they sell something to consumer when counsumer nerver ask for? Another bad thing is they don't have representive to talk to, no phone number, only e-mail. "
"I had, for the most part, been satisfied with my BMG membership. LIke others here, I used a unique email alias for my membership, I also now receive a LOT of spam to that email address. I have since closed my account and will eliminate that email account. It isn't worth a few cheap CD's to wade through the spams, especially when they claim not to sell or share your information. "
"No problems. I ordered two CDs that I had been wanting and the price was only $6.95 each plus tax with free shipping. They arrived a week after the order in new condition. BMG even responded to my email query about whether they had shipped or not (no shipping confirmation was sent; no biggie). I'd order again based on my experience, but I don't think I'd get into any "selection of the month" deal with them...or anyone else for that matter."

"I signed up for BMG's 12 for the price of one offer; not much to say.
My application was accepted within 5 days, and before 10 had passed my order was shipping. Though it was only a partial shipment, as some of the discs were on backorder, I can hardly complain considering the price.
So far, so good- very satisfied. If I post no further updates, you can assume all continued to go well :)"
"They held off on sending me the "selection of the month" for about a year and a half and then started sending them in an absolute flurry. Is that a sign of financial problems on their part? I believe so. So I ended up sending them all back as "return to sender" and still had invoices sent to my house claiming that my account was past due. I called customer service and resolved the problem after a long, heated conversation with the rep. I also cancelled my account at the time. About 3 weeks later, they sent me the "selection of the month", which was postmarked after the date that I had closed my account with them. This was unbelievable! So I sent it back to them once again! Today I recieved another invoice for that CD and a LATE CHARGE tacked on!!! Sure, the CD's are pretty cheap but not at all worth the flim-flam hassle that you have to go through. In the past, parting with BMG was like parting with a business partner. Now it's like parting with the mafia!"

"This is definitely the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. They send you CDs you did not order and hope you pay for it. I regret that I didn't search this fraud shop here in advance. They sent me the CD again that was already in my first order. I only did one shopping on this store and that will be the last one. Other problems with BMG are very slow customer service response, no answer to you question/service requests, bad online search, very limited choice of CDs.
The lession is never file your card number with any untrustworthy shop. "
