That said, I decided to leave a review for them today on account of some EXCELLENT customer service I received from them recently (a special shout-out to customer service agent Bella).<br><br>Here's the story. Back in 2005, when I bought the watch, the entire buying process went off without a hitch. I got a great watch at a great price, and shipping was really quick too. Overall I was really satisfied with my experience. <br><br>Recently, about 4-5 weeks ago, the watch in question was stolen from my home during a move. The thief took the watch, the invoice and the certificate of authenticity along with him. To even have the remotest chance of recovering my watch, I needed the serial number of the watch - and thanks to the documents the thief took with him, I didn't have this info. So with almost no hopes for an answer, I wrote to the sales team at Authentic Watches to see if they had this info somewhere on file. Remember, I bought this watch from them over SEVEN years ago! To my surprise, customer service agent Bella responded within 12 hours with the serial number of my watch. Unbelievable! I cant imagine getting this level of service, and at this speed, even from a brick-and-mortar store! Long story short, given how quickly I noticed that my watch was missing, and was able to provide the police with the required info (thanks to Authentic Watches), we were able to recover my watch from the thief. Quoted me 20% restocking fee (their website says 10%) because I removed a tag that said \u0022do not remove\u0022 that I thought was from the manufacturer, but later found out was from Authenticwatches (there was no indication that it was from Authenticwatches since there was no marking. I would\u0027ve kept it on to be safe, but their website says \u0022if you are not completely satisfied with a purchased item, you may return it within 30 calendar days\u0022).<br><br>The manager, named Peter, justified his combative tone by saying he\u0027s a very realistic and straight forward person. Great, you can be like that to your suppliers and your employees, but some advice from another businessman: Don\u0027t talk to your customers like that.<br><br>To consumers: Watch out. This company does not genuinely care about customer service. I suggest they change their wording, which currently says \u0022our main concern at AuthenticWatches.com is to provide prompt and quality customer service\u0022, which is completely disingenuous<br><br>Also, if you decide to buy from them, read the fine print to their return policy very carefully. It\u0027s written in a way (I suspect) to confuse the customer.<br><br>It\u0027s a classic ploy:<br>The return policy starts by saying \u0022If you are not completely satisfied with a purchased item, you may return it within 30 calendar days\u0022, which makes the return seem flexible.<br><br>But if you read past the long first paragraph and go into the second paragraph, buried and obscured within the block of text is the note that in order to return the item without incurring an additional 10% restocking fee (an additional $180 dollars in my case), the condition is that \u0022tags and protective stickers have not been removed\u0022","link":"http:\/\/www.resellerratings.com\/store\/AuthenticWatches\/review\/2028701#comment2028701","store_thumb":"http:\/\/www.resellerratings.com\/store\/thumbnail\/AuthenticWatches.jpg","store_name":"AuthenticWatches","username":"empresario","rating":"1"}, "single");){kind=link}

Fortunately, I had a really good experience with AuthenticWatches. I ordered an Oris BC3 Sportsman and the watch arrived next day. This is coast to coast (California to New Jersey). I would recommend them if you\u0027re looking to save some money. Now there is one warning I will give: They are not an authorized dealer for Oris so if my watch is defective, I can\u0027t rate the repair service. I\u0027m new to buying middle-higher end watches, so I didn\u0027t know that if you buy from a non authorized dealer, you don\u0027t get the manufacturer\u0027s warranty. This isn\u0027t the case with electronic products. Anyway, to make up for that fact...Authenticwatches offers a 3 year warranty (which is actually 1 year longer than Oris\u0027 2 year warranty). They say that their service is better or just as good as manufacturer\u0027s service but hopefully I won\u0027t have to experience that. "Terrible. Worst online shopping experience EVER. Bought a watch from them. Broken out of the box. Company gave me the run around about a replacement. Finally got them to work with me and now they are trying to say that I damaged the watch. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. My credit card company fraud dept is now investigating them. Dont waste your money."
