"I have to agree with the negative comments. I placed an order on 7-23-2012, my CC was billed on 7-28-2012, and the Area51 site shows the order as 'Processing" as of 8-01-2012. Having received no responses to repeated emails and calls, I have sent them a registered letter (I have the signed receipt) in preparation to sue, as well as seek criminal charges for Theft by Deception.Subscript: as of today (3/19/2013), I am no longer able to access their website. Coincidental that the legal notice was delivered two days ago?"
" I had ordered a product (AR 15 Upper Receiver order #31469) online from Area 51 Tactical on October 12, 2012. The website indicated that the product was in inventory and my card was charged. The information on the website indicated that the shipping would take place within 10 days. After waiting over three weeks and no product, I decided to contact the company Area 51 Tactical. My initial attempt to contact was by email, in which I provided the order number and date of the order. Several days went by and there was no response to my email. I then attempted to contact them by phone. Their phone system put me through a loop of options; in the end I would get a message that the mail box was full. I made several more daily attempts over period weeks to contact them, trying at different times of the day, the results were the same, the roll over to a full voice mail box. I also sent additional emails and inquired on their Facebook page, still no response.I was billed for a product that the company obviously did not have in stock, yet it was advertised as available and in stock. It has been over 90 days now since I placed an order for a product that was misrepresented; I have not been able to reach this company by phone or by email to resolve it."
"I hate to give bad reviews for what is obviously a one man shop, but he needs to communicate better. I ordered on 7/28. CC process same day. The only communication I have had with A51Tactical since the automated order confirmation has been initiated by my. After attempting the website email contact with no response a week earlier, I called the company on 8/15 asking for order status and tracking info. The guy on the phone said it was on back order and that it should be in by 8/17 and that I would receive an email when he shipped it. Today is 8/20 with no email. Called again. Still back ordered, so I cancelled the order. I was told I should see the refund on my account in 3 to 5 days....they didn't have trouble charging my account the same day. Anyway, if this is a one man shop, I pray to God that he improves his communication and customer service. I don't wish ill on anyone trying live the American dream."
"It is 12 weeks and counting and I haven’t received my items yet. They processed my credit card the same day I ordered my products and have not shipped them nor have they told me what is wrong, or if I will ever receive them. I made phone calls and sent emails to "customer service" (if you call it service, it should be called no service) with no response. I have since cancelled the order. I would advise everyone to avoid Area 51 Tactical. It was my worst online order experience ever!!!"
"Does the shipping from this place suck? YES. Do they steal your money? NO. I ordered on 5/7, they shipped on 6/11 so > than 5 weeks to get; but the price was great. They didn't tell me til week 3 that it was on backorder, and only after I called them (very hard to get them on the phone, but not impossible). Just don't be in a rush to get it. I have already reordered more of my first order.Edit: Ordered my second order on 6/18. They did not ship til 7/16. I was told after 1 week that everything was in stock and would ship out the following week. I was told the same thing the following week. They didn't answer their phones the third week. Since I wasn't in a massive hurry, it still worked out and the price was really good; but given the choice, I'll shop elsewhere. "

"I have done business with Area 51 tactical on several occasions and the service is always exceptional. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone looking for great prices and great customer service. I hate that the others on here had such a bad experience dealing with them, but I have never had a problem and will continue to support this company."
"I agree with the other review on area51tactical.com.I placed an order for 10 pmags and haven't heard anything for 10 days. They were "in stock" items with no backorders or anything out of the ordinary. I've called both numbers, and have done extensive research to find every email address I can find on them with no response. Those email addresses if you need them are firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, and firstname.lastname@example.org. Just stay away from this site, cause I have a feeling my money is gone."
"Avoid, avoid,avoid. Placed "in stock" online order and got an automated order conformation pretty quick. No delivery two weeks later and credit card charged. Several attempts to call and send emails, no response. I had to call credit card company with complaint. I suspect these guys don't stock anything and try to "drop ship" all orders. Their prices are pretty good but beware, spend the extra $3 and go with a more well known dealer, BCM, AIM,SDK,Midway, Brownells, etc......"
