"I ordered this TV but it never arrived. The tracking number provided by CEVA, the shipper that Amazon hired, never worked and I was never able to tell where the TV was. I contacted Amazon to ask what happened to the TV and after a long wait, they said the TV was found and that it would arrive shortly. It never did, so I wrote again to cancel the order. But now Amazon refuses to refund me until they get the TV back - as if they hold me responsible .
I found out some very interesting things about Amazon since this began:
1) It takes 1 or 2 days for Amazon to get back to you now. Thats just horrible customer support.
2) Amazon said they talked to CEVA, their shipping company, "on my behalf" - as if this was a problem between me and CEVA and that Amazon had nothing to do with it. I am not CEVA's customer. Amazon hired them. This is a problem between Amazon and CEVA. All I did was place an order in good faith.
3) And finally, Amazon tells me they arent going to refund me until they get the TV back. They are punishing me because they hired the wrong shipper! What if CEVA has lost it, does that mean I dont get my money back? What if it takes CEVA a month to return it, will I have to wait that long?
I have purchased several thousand dollars worth of goods from Amazon, and I cannot believe they would treat me in this way. I can tell you one thing for sure - but I will NEVER buy from them again. "
"Like everyone else that has commented in the past several weeks, I also got screwed by Amazon. This is clearly an abuse of their power as a major company to provide a service of selling their product to a selective few and leaving the rest of their consumers in the dark. I now tell others to avoid Amazon at all cost and choose other alternative retailers. Amazon needs to learn from Newegg about running a business."
"I too had problems with multiple orders on Black Friday. First they cancelled the MX revolution mouse I ordered. Next they cancelled the PS3 Sixaxis Controller and then they cancelled both the MX5000 keyboard mouse combo and the Logitech Webcam. Not only did they cancel them they completely deleted them off my order history. I called the CSRs who said they were out of stock but I pointed out that they were indeed all in stock on their websites albeit at higher prices. The CSR then went and reinstated all orders at the price I ordered them and assured me of delivery since they were indeed in stock. The next day I received cancellation notices again for all the same items. Amazon service has been going downhill. I called Customer service again and was told there was nothing they could do. Hung up, called another CSR who said they would refund me the difference if I placed a new order. I did so and received no refund. I emailed the CSR again and this time was told they would not honor the refund EVEN THOUGH ANOTHER CSR PROMISED ME IN WRITING. They did wind up sending me the keyboard though after an additional call but I lost out on my mouse, webcam and ps3 controller due to no fault of my own. Totally unacceptable and I will not order from them again."
"Amazon has completely screwed another long time customer with shoddy business tactics and horrible customer service! During last months Black Friday advertised deals, they offered some Logitech computer peripherals at a discounted price. Yes, I'm talking about the Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse! It wasn't until about a week later that I was informed that they would not be able to ship me my item because of a supposed pricing error on their website... HOGWASH! Now I'm out of luck due to Amazon ignorance and incompetence. I've yet to receive any type of compensation for their inconsiderations!"
"I am really dissatisfied with Amazon.com's consumer service regarding this order. I am certain that this product was not a price mistake because it was part of Amazon's Black Friday sale and that thousands of customers have ordered this product for the same price. I am aware of this fact because I have read hundreds of online bargain forums which stated this product was indeed selling at this price by Amazon.com and that the majority has already received their orders. I was really looking forward to receiving this order and after almost two weeks and three emails later I get a cancellation email!? I do not believe that Amazon.com is so incompetent that it took so long to caught this "price mistake." I have also ordered the Logitech VX laser mouse from Amazon during it's Cyber Monday sale for about the same price as this product and it has already shipped. I have been a loyal and frequent costumer at Amazon and have been very satisfied with all of my previous purchases, but now I will be hesitant to make future purchases because of this terrible experience. How can I trust a company that can backtrack their way out of things by simply sending "We regret to inform you that an error caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price:
Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse
In accordance with our posted policies on pricing, we are unable to offer this item for the incorrectly posted price. Therefore, we have cancelled your order for this item," when I know that this is not true. I am seriously considering reporting this awful experience to the Better Business Bureau because I am so displeased right now. I hope I am the only one that was so unlucky to have this happen to me because I know they will be extremely dissatisfied as well if this was the case. "
1. SuperSaver penalty: Amazon offers SuperSaver shipping on orders over $25.00. Compared to 3-5 day delivery time for standard shipping, SuperSaver orders should arrive within 5-9 days. No so. I ordered a bike repair stand on July 6. With SuperSaver, the _shipping_ date would have been July 12, whereas for standard shipping the _delivery_ date would have been July 12. In other words, delivery of an in-stock item was going to take 11-17 days, not 5-9.
2. Problems changing an order: I decided to pay for shipping. To find out what the costs would be, I first changed the order to two day shipping. But then I couldn't change to Standard or cancel. Apparently when you click two day shipping, the order is immediately in "process" and can't be changed on the web. After some time exploring the Customer Service screens, I discovered a "Call Me Back" option, entered my phone number, and was called within five minutes (good!). Luckily the rep was able to change the order, but I was so fed up at that point that I told her to cancel it.
3. Rebate switch: I had applied for an Amazon Visa to get a $40.00 rebate on my next purchase. After a while, I decided to re-order the item. Imagine my surprise when the advertised rebate for using the new Visa card was $30.00, not $40.00. I logged out, deleted cookies, and the next time I logged in, the rebate was up to $40.00 again. Amazon's been caught before raising prices for people who looked at an item once, then came back to order later. This looks like more of the same.

"8/22/08- I pre-ordered software from Amazon.com using a gift card. When placing the order there were 2 "Pre-Order" icons. Sadly, I disnt realize one was with Amazon and one was with a "Third Party Seller".
After realizing the order was being processed under Amazon AND Hubbagames (3rd party) I got concerned. I saw that Hubbagames did NOT have a phone number on thier site. I sent 2 emails to cancel the order. One to Amazon and one to Hubbagames. No response from Hubbagames.
I ordered the same software directly from Amazon.com, since I do NOT do online business without a phone number to call (Hubbagames).
I spoke to Amazon's customer service. Your typical foregin call center. Explained that I needed the first order cancelled and the gift card applied to the second order. Trying to get them to understand was hard enough. I was told they cant cancel the order placed with the 3rd party seller. I have to cancel with them. I explained I tried and it hasnt happend. I asked for a contact number for Hubbagames and was told they dont have a phone number. I asked how they do business with a company that does not have a phone #, and was told they are not required to have a phone #. Odd. I thought standards would be higher.
I spoke to a supervisor (Cody B.) and was told he will personally take the 3rd party order placed with a $50 gift card, and apply it to my second order, so I would only be paying $4 and some change, one the oder gets cancelled. I said great, and asked for an e-mail detailing that information. I never recieved that e-mail.
8-29-08- First order through the 3rd party seller has STILL not been canceled. No response from Hubbagames. Called Customer service again. Was told it might take 1-2 weeks to get it the 3rd party order cancelled going through Amazon. Was also told by a new supervisor (Jason), that they will apply the gift card from the 3rd party order to the second order placed directly with Amazon. Again, asked for the e-mail to confirm it. Still nothing.
I will NOT be doing business with Amazon.com again. Their 3rd party sellers are no-name businesses with no contact info. Be VERY careful when ordering with Amazon.com. Make sure you are NOT buying from a 3rd party. And good luck calling customer service. Good luck with understanding them, and them understanding you. Its a call center with no idea of what they are doing. They dont even give out last names so they dont have to take responsability for what they tell you.
There are plenty of other e-tailers out there that DO communicate with the customer. I would suggest trying them first.
"I am VERY DISSATISFIED! Both my orders has also been cancelled for the Logitech MX Mouse and Logitech Quickcam Communicate Deluxe webcam. Just received the famous e-mails today. This is BS, yesterday I received an e-mail from Amazon.com to approve a later delivery time for my products which I did approve.
Amazon.com $@$@ us all. On BF I saw so many awesome Webcam and Mouse deals from other companies after ordering from Amazon.com.but I didnt get them, because I already ordered both the webcam and mouse already from Amazon.com and I was one of the first ones to order them.
Now my friend has a VX (which I gave him the link for) and now I dont have anything. The VX was super low priced too from Office Depot I believe it was or maybe Staples, anyways I wish I went for the VX instead of trusting in Amazon.com for my MX.
"Here's what I received from them via email. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Hello from Amazon.com.

Regards,
Account Specialist Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com ------------------------------------------------------------- I tried to return a damaged item to them due to their poor packaging which isn't the first time already. Now they decided to close my account. I sent them an email to find out what's going but no reply. I called their customer service and they refused to assist me. I can't return my item to them and it costs me $250, they are just simply don't want to deal with me and blacklisted me. Amazon.com is a rip-off and HORRIBLE."
