"DO NOT BUY from this company! I ordered an Austin Air Cleaner after researching the manufacturers website with a promise of satisfaction guaranteed, no questions asked for a full refund if not completely satisfied.

Well $350 later I get a "cleaner" that actually makes the air smell worse. Alpha Electronics refuses to accept a return event though this is a DOA item, does not work as advertised. They referred me to Austin Air who refuses to honor their own guarantee since I didn't buy direct from them. Note their website and hard copy documentation mentions nothing about requiring direct purchase. In addition, the item was shipped directly from Austin Air's location even though is was ordered through Alpha Electronics.

These 2 companies cannot be trusted, ship bad products and then don't stand behind them."

"Are these people still in business? I placed an order in early January and nearly a month later, the order still shows as "pending". None of the items showed as out of stock or on back order. I have tried to contact them via phone and e-mail several times and have yet to reach or hear from anyone. The phone number goes straight to a recording that the mailbox is full. The site mentions that numbers that can't be IDd will go to voicemail, but I get the same thing if I call from my listed home phone.

My daughter's birthday has come and gone, but I can't purchase the things I wanted to get her since there might still be a chance that Alpha Electronics will process the order. There is no way on the site for me to cancel my order and my credit card company says they can't stop the payment and can only help me contest it "IF" Alpha Electronics accepts the payment. How long do I wait? Another week? A month? A year??

I hate learning expensive lessons, but the one I just learned is to check the reviews on this site before making any online purchases. After reading the reviews, looks like this company was doing just fine until May of last year. I can only guess that they had to lay off all of their staff or something. Is there anyone still there?"

"December 18th, 2009: While on vacation at my gf's place in the States (I live in Toronto, Canada), I place an order over the phone. Miguel is very nice. He tells me everything should arrive in time to have it shipped to my girlfriend by the end of December, but that he may need to ship it to Canada if it's delayed. No worries... I am willing to pay the shipping to Canada.

December -> January -> March 12th, 2009: Communication w/Miguel is excellent, despite the extreme delay. My package arrives in Toronto March 12th, missing 3 items: the boom pole, boom pole bag, and a Rode VC1 cable. I ask Miguel to ship the missing items to my girlfriend's since I am going back to the states for a week.

March 20th, 2009: Toward the end of my trip, I email Miguel to make sure the package is on its' way. He claims he left the package for UPS but that the guy never picked it up. I pretend to believe his story, to be polite. Miguel tries sending it again.

March 21st, 2009: Package shows up! Yay! Too bad it's missing two of the three items! I email Miguel asking for the missing boom pole bag and VC1 cable.

April 25, 2009: I email Miguel politely, saying my last email must have "slipped through the cracks". Any update on my stuff?

April 29, 2009: Another email to Miguel... I need an update!

May 16th, 2009: This email is pretty blunt for a Canadian. I tell him I'll take action if I don't hear from him by May 18th.

July 6, 2009: I'm submitting this report."

"Ridiculous on their communication and shipping process. I have e-mailed them at least 4-5 times and still have not gotten a simple answer back yet. I highly recommend buying from anywhere other then this place.
Even places that are across the world like a company in China would have a way faster shipping process then this.."

"I first ordered a Raynox HD6600 Pro Wide Angle lens and a Matthews M25 Tripod from Alpha Electronics on 4/18/09. I received immediate confirmation and an email from Miguel on 4/20/09 answering some price questions for me. He also wrote that he would let me know if any items were on backorder.

I then did not hear anything until 4/26/09 when Miguel wrote me an email to state that my credit card had been declined. (I had been ordering a lot of equipment from different retailers and my card company was concerned that my card might have been compromised) I fixed the problem and wrote Miguel back within an hour to tell him to try to process my order again.

I didn't hear anything for a few days, and wrote back on 5/1/09 for an update. I wrote to three different email addresses and sent a PM on the forum HV20.com. I have yet to hear back and I'm about to cancel my order due to the complete lack of communication and very, very slow order processing.

I'm very dissatisfied. I would not recommend doing business with alphaelectronics.com."

"Good communication and service, quick shipping, good follow up.

Ordered a RODE VideoMic and Raynox HD6600 WA adapter for my Canon HV30. Package came quickly but was missing the Lens! ONE email about it and they had it overnighted to me.

I would shop with this smaller company again.

Thank You!"

"I have purchased twice from alphaelectronics in the past year. Both times the experience was great. Great pricing, product and service. Communication with the seller was also excellent. This is a great seller."

"Just ordered and received a Raynox wide angle adapter and step up ring for my Canon HV20. They shipped the item in one day and had it in two days. They provide great customer service, great communication and are very professional. Highly recommended."

"Ordered a Raynox 6600 wide angle adapter for my HV20 through the store specials given to members of the HV20 forum. Everything went swiftly, from shipping discussions (I live in Canada) to payment method (paying by PayPal is one of the easiest ways to do business) to delivery, which was fast and top quality (product was very well packaged).
Overall a very good experience, I intend to buy more stuff for my camcorder to Miguel."
