This was my first purchase from the Alarm System Store. The order was processed promptly and and the equipment was received in good condition. I purchased a basic DSC 1616 System and the installation went smoothly until it came to programming. I needed to call tech support (DSC could have done a better job with the installation manual). I left a message for a return call and within minutes I received a call from Shawn. He talked me through the programing of additional access codes. He was very professional and he did not rush me. He gave me his extension number in case I had additional questions/problems (and I did). I called back the next day and reached him directly without having to leave a message. I explained the problem that the delay zones were acting as instant zones, he immediately knew what I was talking about and had me insert additional codes so that the siren would not go off during the entry delay period. Again I was impressed with his technical knowledge and his patience. I would recommend the Alarm System Store, if for other reason, then for the service I received from Shawn. Excellent service! The system that was recommended to me ended up being exactly what I needed. After getting the system wired up, Shawn walked me through the programming and quickly dealt with the few problems (that I had created for myself) in a rapid and professional manner. I have already committed to ordering the system for my next project from the Alarm System Store!

I considered several online alarm system stores before I decided on The Alarm System Store. My decision has proved to be the best I could have made. In replacing an existing system, I ran across a couple of glitches that the Alarm System Store happily helped me with. Shacara did extra research to confirm that my old keypads would still work and then sold me the exact system I needed. Ryan competently helped me shoot a couple of open fault problems and then helped me clear an unusual error message that I caused myself in trying to program the system. Good job all.

The word I would use to describe this excellent company is "integrity." Though we found installation of our system to be more confusing than we anticipated, we were really supported by the technical support in this company, particularly Ryan, who went to great lengths to walk us through this process and respond to every e-mail and phone call we made (we made a lot!). He even went so far as to make himself available during his off hours to accommodate us, and truly went above and beyond the call of duty. I can't say enough about that.
Also, compared with other alarm monitoring companies, this is a great value. We'd strongly recommend this company to anyone interested.

Our company's experience with the Alarm System Store team has been exceptional. We purchased a system earlier in the year from Shacara; her knowledge of the systems they sell is unbelievable! We purchased the system, and installed it with no problem. Recently, we had an issue that was causing the system to alarm for no apparent reason. I called Shawn, and his assistance & patience was awesome. He walked me through several items to check that could be causing the issue. Thanks to his help, we found a wire in the panel that wasn't tight enough...problem solved! We won't go to any other place for our alarm needs...their customer service & knowledge sets them far above the competition. Thanks!!!

I recently purchased a DSC Alexor KIT 495-1CP01 wireless alarm system from the Alarm System Store and installed it myself, after having it pre-programed by the Alarm System Store techs,.which I would recommend . I did quite a lot research and reading reviews from many places. I did add a few more sensors and added a extra alarm, as I read a review, that the alarm that comes with the system, doe not seem loud enough. Aside from that , everything seems to be superior as an alarm system. I did have some programing issues which was corrected with very prompt, and adequate help from tech support, namely, Shawn and Ryan. The reviews were very helpful, and that is why I”m also writing a review. DAJ SARVER,PA

Being a retired engineer, I researched security systems and sellers quite intensively before purchasing from ArlarmSystemStore.com. One reason was their sales people would return calls regarding system details in a timely fashion, unlike another store I had contacted. Ryan was the sales person who was so responsive, and he knows the systems well.
On trying to install the system, even having worked on electrical systems (but not security systems) similar to the 1832 many times before,and having done extensive rewiring of my house and lots of electrical repair, I found myself unable to decipher much of the instructions that came with the system. They were obviously designed for pros, but not for people new to the security systems. Even in areas I thought I understood, I was not confident that I would wire it properly without causing damage to the system or simply making errors that could take lots of time to figure out. Upon calling AlarmSystemStore tech support I talked to Shawn twice, and he was very helpful both on the phone and emailing me some instructions. I'm not yet at programming, but have the wiring licked after his help.
What needs to be done for systems sold to do-it-yourselfers is to publish a glossary that tells what all the terms mean, a basic system description telling what the principals of operation are, a simple description of what the zone/partition/sensor assignment strategy should be for different simple setups, and finally a programming tips document similar to what Shawn sent me. It could make all the difference in understanding the system and would really save the newbie installer lots of time.
An example of the problems with current directions is that the documentation states the 1832 has 32 hard wired zones. Not that it has capability to be expanded to 32 zones, but that it has the capability for 32 hard wired zones. The fact is, as I found out from Shawn, with zone expanders it can go up to 32. Without purchasing and installing zone expanders, it has 8 zones.

I got the system up and running today after a few false starts with the programming. Shawn cleared up my misconceptions about the programming protocol, and it is working as designed. The responsiveness of Ryan and Shawn has been very effective in my getting the system installed and working properly, and I highly recommend AlarmStore.com for those who want to install their own system. Bought the system to install in our house in the Caribbean. Was a bit disappointed when we installed it and found that the transformer was faulty. Had to bring the part back to Connecticut when we returned home and were wondering how easy (or hard) it would be to get just the transformer replaced so we could ship it back down to the Caribbean. Thankfully, we worked with Shawn and we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. Shawn was very apologetic about the transformer being bad, especially given our rather unusual circumstances. We had the new part within a week. Thank you Shawn!

I am NOT a professional installer but just a homeowner who wanted a good alarm system in my home. Having had two systems put in other homes in the past I knew what needed to be done but found that most places doing the installations were ripping others off. I researched the web and found the AlarmSystemStore and read all the great reviews. Couldn't believe they were that great until I called and talked first to Shacara who answered all my questions and was very helpful. I placed my order and my next experience was with RYAN who was the BEST! I had him do all the programming of all the units (doors,windows, motion detectors, remote control unit an remote keypad)........he did everything quickly and perfectly....all I had to do was hang the units or place the units where the booklets suggested they be placed. I spoke with Ryan a couple of times on a few questions and he always got back to me quickly and never seemed to be rushing me. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and just an all around great guy! I then purchased their alarm monitoring.....their price is about $20 a month cheaper than I am paying at my other homes....will be switching my contracts over when they expire! Great company and great experience! Super quick shipping! Good choice of products!

I'm building a house outside of the US and
ordered an alarm system from "AlarmSystemStore.com". I had several questions about what to order so I called them on the phone. Their very knowledgeable and friendly customer support staff quickly helped me put together a system, which I received promptly. I've had several issues with my builder and had to exchange some of the components as well as replace some components that were "misplaced". Being a first time purchaser of a system I was an inexperienced buyer with limited knowledge. I was very impressed with Shacara at the AlarmSystemStore.com knowledge and advice. She took the time to explain the options and helped me in choosing the right system. She researched the questions I had and was quick to respond back to my emails. Premium service all the way.
We received the system fast with everything programmed so installation was a breeze. I will recommend this company to my and friends.

This is not in reference to a particular order (although I do get all of my alarm needs from this store ) but
instead is in reference to a call for technical help.
Had a situation where my panel was not 'seeing' 8 zones on a zone expansion board. As it turns
out, because those zones are glass breaks and heat detectors, they had NEVER been 'seen' by
my panel but that is another story.
I had redefined the zones and even tried jumpering them but still the panel acted as thought they
did not exist ( 902/903 verified that they existed !! )
Got a call back from Ryan in just a matter of minutes and he solved my problem with the first 'shot'. It
seems that I had never 'switched on' those zones and they are 'off' by default.
Needless to say, very impressive.
I still don't know where Andy finds his people but my experiences with them have always
been professional and positive. Ryan is just the latest case !!
I will continue to use this business for my alarm system needs.

When I first looked at the Installation Guide for my PC1616, I knew I was in trouble. Not being one to give up so easily, I studied that guide for hours, reading the guide, then looking at the PC1616, then reading and then looking some more. I learned a great deal from the guide. However it was ultimately of no use to me. I realize that it is written with the assumption that the reader already has a working knowledge of digital security systems. Well I don't. And that's where Shawn comes in. I was dreading calling Tech Support because it's been my experience that I'll be speaking with a person with a strong foreign dialect, rendering the dialog incomprehensible and very frustrating. Well I was fortunate enough to get Shawn when I called and he was top-notch. He sent an email to me immediately for future reference and then walked me through the programing of my system. It might have taken all of 4 minutes! His confidence in his knowledge gave me confidence and reassurance that anytime in the future; I can call on him and resolve my issue painlessly. The next system I buy will be from the AlarmSystemStore.com! I went from a fear of regret (because I got in over my head) to peace of mind and satisfaction knowing how much money I saved by going with AlarmSystemStore.com. Thanks for the low prices! The online ordering and prompt shipping were impressive, but mostly: thanks for the top-notch support by the likes of Shawn. If all your Tech Support are even close to providing the level of support that Shawn does, then you have the most cracker-jack Tech Support I've ever come across. Thanks a million!

I recently purchased a DSC alarm system from Alarmsystemstore.com. I told them what I was doing and they recommended all the correct equipment. Shawn preprogrammed the system and when I hooked it all up it worked perfectly. I had a few questions during the install and Shawn returned my calls everytime in a prompt manner.

After dealing with Brinks security for many years and wasting a lot of money I finally decided to buy a new security system from alarmsystemstore.com. What a great choice I made. Shawn did a terrific job with programming my system. I want to give a special shout out to Ryan who helped me with an installation problem, with one phone call Ryan had my system up and running perfectly . I've never had anyone return my emails as quick as Shawn and Ryan. Thank You alarmsystemstore.com!
My new security system installed by myself with the help of alarmsystemstore.com is better than the system I used to have installed by so-called professionals.
