"Adorama is a solid merchant. They actually sell a lot of their stuff through Amazon. As with many cases, you get a slightly better deal if you go directly to their site, which I did. Camera arrived as expected, so it wasn't slow to arrive neither they were super-quick, took 2 days to process the order and 7 days to get to me. Packaging was again good but shipping a camera in a big box together with accessories always scares me, also they had one of the items as back ordered and it arrived 2 weeks later in a separate shipment (fortunately it was a free camera bag which I did not intend on using anyway) They also have a pretty cool system in which you can ask questions about a product and other Adorama users will answer you if they can. My bottom line is, I will come back mainly due to price, beware if you need something 100% in your hands the next day they might not be the best choice, but if you have some time buffer their prices can be a great thing to take advantage of."
"Placed an order that apparently was a 'price mistake' - magically the item went to backordered, to cancelled. Poor customer service to not even communicate well with customers."

"Do not order from Adorama, as they don't have a local customer support team and they apparently cannot pack a box. My receiver box was completely torn up upon arrival (NOT UPS's fault because the package didn't have hardly any packing!), and after the arduous return process the item was out of stock / discontinued. Now I don't have a receiver and I can't buy it anywhere else for a reasonable price! "

"i used to love this store but as time went on it became clear to me that their customer service dept doesnt care about customers at all and their shipping team is mindless. they seem to like a service called ups mail innovations which is slower than the pony express was. i waited 9 days (thus far as shipment has still not arrived) for a 1lb shipment from new york to philly. to me this says that someone at adorama isnt thinking. there is just no excuse for this. an efficient team weighs options to best satisfy their customers. i will take my business to b&h photo from now on and i'd suggest others do the same. "

"I ordered a printer that was on backorder right before Passover, and after Adorama returned from holiday, they shipped the item with 2nd day air when my order was originally slated for 7 - 10 business days. I enjoyed being their customer before, and now, even more so!"
"Adorama was fine but I do have a minor complaint. I wish Adorama was a bit more timely and proactive in keeping me informed of the backordered item I ordered. (This item was backordered at all stores I checked, not just Adorama.) When I placed my order I was told the item was backordered by 2-3 weeks. However, I did not hear back from Adorama for over 4 weeks and I had to call them to get order status. It was still backordered. I did get a status update email a few days later (item still backordered).
When I got the item it was in great condition and it was exactly what I had ordered. "
"I recently made a purchase from Adorama. It was damaged during shipping. Their customer service has horrible hours, most don't speak fluent English. Their damaged item policy is out-dated. I was not satisfied. In the end after waiting over 3 weeks, they messed up and refunded my money instead of replacing the item. DO NOT USE ADORAMA!"

"I recently purchased an Asus ASUS VivoBook S400CA-DH51T Laptop from Adorama and it arrived in a defective state. The problem is that the trackpad was not installed correctly (it was installed cockeyed in the keyboard mounting and this meant the left trackpad button would not depress). Since this was a brand new unit I was sure that Adorama would help me to secure a working unit. After all this was a brand new in box laptop purchase. After several calls and emails to Adorama explaining the situation I was told all I can do is call Asus to have the unit repaired. Adorama said that all their laptops are not-returnable. This is highly disappointing because the unit arrived in a state that was not functioning. I feel as a consumer if the unit is shipped as not working a replacement should be issued. Please keep in mind all I wanted was a replacement unit that worked, not a refund, which I felt was very reasonable. Now I am stuck with a non-working laptop , no replacement help from Adorama. Stay away from this retailer for all computer purchases. "
