I paid for a 'Buy It Now' Samsung 32" LCD TV for $344 on 11/22/09. As requested by ABT, I provided two phone numbers where I could be reached. I received notice that the TV was shipped, and on the day it was to arrive it did not. I checked the UPS tracking number which indicated that the shipment had been intercepted that morning at the local UPS depot. Thoroughly confused, I called ABT, and was told they would not honor the price I bought it at. They offered to sell it to me for $399, which was the prevailing price for this item. They otherwise would not credit my Paypal account until the TV arrived back in their warehouse. Three aspects of this 'purchase' were unacceptable: (1) Despite having my e-mail address, my contact info through eBay, and two phone numbers for me, the company did not contact me to let me know what was going on - their priority was getting their precious TV back, screw the customer. They claimed later they had difficulty pulling up the names of those who bought this item on eBay, but they had no difficulty intercepting the TVs. Right. (2) The price I 'bought' it at was a price that was also offered at another well-respected on-line store later that same day. Since I had 'bought' from ABT I honored the transaction rather than buying from the other store; purchasers from the other store did report receiving their TVs with no problem. ABT, on the other hand, chose not to honor their commitment. They claimed 'price mistake'. The other store offered the TV at the same price - which means that ABT felt it was much more important that they make more profit on these TVs than the other store. Because of their incompetence, I could not buy from the other store while the $344 price was in effect. (3) They refused to give me my money back until the TV was back in their warehouse. It was my money; I never even saw the TV, it was never delivered to my home, but yet they wanted to hang on to my money until their screw-up was resolved to THEIR satisfaction (not mine!).  
 
I have bought from many places online, and from many sellers on eBay. I am careful to buy only from reputable sellers. Unfortunately I made a mistake by 'purchasing' from ABT, one that I will not make again. Their handling of this situation is indicative of their opinion that customer is NOT first!

Thanks for the feedback. We apologize for recalling the order and any inconvenience this has caused you. We are normally more efficient in our services and it is never our intention to aggravate our customers. The product was priced incorrectly on Ebay's web site; the TV was removed so we could update the product page with the correct information. Unfortunately, we were unaware that the orders were submitted and processed to ship. We regret the information was not relayed, an email should have been sent to the customer notifying the cancellation of the order. UPS did receive the notification to return the unit but the orders were still in transit to the customer. Upon confirmation the order was returning to Abt.com the refund was immediately processed. We can confirm the customer was fully refunded. (And a gift card was offered as compensation for our mistake)

Purchased Samsung TV on Nov22 thru abt's ebay store. Called CSR on Nov23 to verify order and was told the order was canceled. The CSR claims that I was notified on Nov 22, but I didn't got any notification about cancellation until I called. Since this is a ebay Buy it now auction, the seller should request a cancellation and get buyer's approval before cancel the bid. But they just simply ignored the customers without any notice (there were 11 people who bought this and got canceled).  
It's been a week and I still haven't got my refund.  
Horrible seller who doesn't care about their customers. I don't suggest anyone doing business with them.

We are normally more efficient with our services and it is never our intention to aggravate our customers. The item purchased was priced incorrectly on Ebay's web site and the orders were canceled. It was a mistake on our end to recall the package that had already been shipped out. Upon confirmation from UPS that the order was en-route to us, the refund was immediately processed. We can confirm the customer was fully refunded at that time.

Purchased a 32" Samsung TV from the seller on 11/22 for $344 + tax. Seller accepted my payment through Paypal, and shipped the next day. A CSR I spoke to on 11/23 even confirmed with me that my order was to leave the warehouse that evening. On 11/25 I received an email from UPS informing me that my purchase, which was to be delivered that day, was intercepted and returned to the sender. I called the seller's customer service line, was put on hold for nearly 10 minutes, and was finally told that my item had a "price discrepancy" and that they had canceled the order and instructed UPS to return it to them. I was never notified of the mistake via email or phone, nor has the seller contacted me since the cancellation, except for taking my call on the customer service line. I was told the price mistake was found by the seller the same day my order was placed, but I was still not notified by the seller that my order would be canceled. Overall, a very dissatisfying experience. Not once during the entire experience did the seller seem to place customer service in its list of concerns. Based on my experience, especially the lack of consideration in providing me any explanation, I would not suggest that informed buyers to business with this seller in the future.

I had a very good first experience with ABT. Great combination of excellent price and service. No pressure sales job for extras and they do not overcharge for shipping like some of the rest. I got my camcorder in one day, as promised, the day before Thanksgiving. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and will definitely purchase from them again!

Abt price matched an offer I had received for a Denon AVR 1610 AV receiver. I hadn't received it 7 days later. Called Abt, found out the shipping date had been recorded incorrectly. Received order in two days. Mistakes do happen sometimes, but they promptly made it right. Receiver was packaged very well. Good price, fast shipping(after I called), good packaging, free phone tech support. What's not to like?

SERVICE IS LACKING  
OREDERED PARTS FOR A TOP OF THE LINE GE WASHER JUST OVER A YEAR OLD-- $818.20 IN PARTS THAT GE WOULD COVER AND AUTHORIZED. HOWEVER, ABT DECIDED TO CANCEL THE ORDER. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER 30 DAYS WITHOUT A WASHER. WE WILL NEVER, EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ABT AGAIN.

Thanks for the feedback. We apologize for any problems and inconvenience the customer may have incurred with the cancellation of the service appointment. Our records show we were unsuccessful in reaching the customer in regards to the repair of their unit. We did not receive any notification via phone or email from GE stating they would cover the parts on the unit. The customer's unit was outside the manufacturer warranty and would have incurred fees for labor. Due to the estimation of the total cost to repair their product, a complete replacement would have been more cost effective. After 30 days of no communication we had canceled the appointment.

I ordered 2 pairs of Sennheiser CX 300-II Precision In Ear Wired Headphones from an Ebay auction. Ebay Item 370243354277.  
 
The main description has this listed. "Sennheiser CX 300-II Precision In Ear Wired Headphones" The pictured photo is the new 300-II headphones, not the older model.  
 
Other areas in the description keep mentioning CX300-II but several also have this following. (CX300BK) I have since researched that the CX300BK is the older and cheaper model. Currently worth about 17 dollars according to Amazon or about 25 dollars on ebay.  
 
Inside the Ebay description it keeps referring to the CX300-II. Example from the listing:

Unfortunately, I received the cheaper/older model but paid the full price for the newer 300 -II model. I just called up ABT and they informed me that the Ebay listing said model CX300BK. If that isn't some form of false advertizing then I don't know what it is.  
 
Luckily, I handed the 2nd pair to a friend and he noticed it being the older model immediately. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn’t have known and would have ended up paying tons more for an older model.  
 
I called up ABT and they will allow me to send the items back but at my cost. I feel that they made a mistake and should cover the shipping costs back as it is a mistake they made, not just an item I didn't want.  
 
Since they have an excellent rating on here and on Ebay, I'm surprised that they have the Ebay listing so inaccurate.  
 
Another representative will call me back and I will update this information after I have talked with them.

I ordered a Sanus Full Motion Mount MF110-B1 and ABT was able to beat the price of another retailer. The item which retail price is around $200 & I was able to get it for $105 w/ free shipping. Item arrived in 3 days. I would recommend buying from them. I will definetly be making more of my electronic purchases from them.

We purchased Frigidaire model number FCCW3000WH 5/28/07.The unit has broken 3 times in under 23 months. The unit broke for the first time 10/07. Abt sent a service tech to fix the problem and since it was still under warranty we where not charged. It broke again 06/08(less than one month after the warranty expired)Abt sent a service tech on 07/11/08 and covered the cost of parts and labor.Well the machine broke again in May 09. Abt sent out a service tech to evaluate the problem. It turned out that to fix the machine it would cost more than what we paid for it. Abt gave us a credit for what we paid and replaced the machine with a new one. Thanks Abt

On 3/31 I went to Abt to shop for kitchen appliances. I got a very nice salesman and purchased a refidgerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove for 12,400.00. I was told that because I ordered a red stove the delivery would take 4 to 6 weeks. The stove required 50% down non-refundable. After waiting over six weeks I called to see about my delivery. My salesman said he would call the rep from the stove co. and call me the next day. After waiting 4 days I called him and was told I might recieve delivery by the end of July. He knew that I'm building a spec house and was planning on it being ready to put on the market May 1st (the best time to sell) Since making this purchase I decorated the kit/fam room with the 7,000 dollar red stove as the focal point, including granite,cabinets and tile. When I spoke to a manager a week ago he told me he was doing everything he could and he would call me, he has not called. the word Rage does not even come close

Normally, when a delay occurs we do our best in providing status information as soon as possible. Unfortunately this was not the case with the order. Normally the availability time frame on this range (a custom built La Cournue from France) was 4 to 6 weeks. Unfortunately, on this specific range the manufacturer informed us it would take 12 weeks for us to receive. A store manager has been in communication with the customer and provided the correct time frame. At this time our records show the range has been delivered to the customer.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of a Yamaha Digital Sound Projector YSP4000BL from Abt Electronics. The sound projector is just what I wanted and expected. Coupled with a subwoofer, my home theater has a full sound that envelopes the listeners. When Abt Electronics say they will match a competitor's price, believe it! A couple of days AFTER I made my on-line purchase, I found the same item at another website for less. Following my verification that the competitor was an authorized Yamaha dealer, I called Abt's customer service department to inquire if they would match the price. The agent who took my call (Tamara) was friendly and informative as she diligently researched my claim. After the information that I provided was verified, Tamara cheerfully refunded me the difference in price which was $400.00! The return on time invested was pretty good considering the on-line pricing research time was less than an hour and the phone call took less than 5 minutes. This experience has made me a believer and I would definitely do business with Abt Electronics again in the future. Buy from here with confidence, I highly recommend them!!!

I have never heard of ABT before. after searching on froogle for the best price, they came in first, carrying the cheapest one. It is usually a sign of poor service, so I checked them out everywhere, including RR. all reviews were showing them as very decent and highly recommended merchant. so, I decided to give them a try, and, as the rest of the people were saying, it was not a disappointing experience. the whole shopping / checkout / shipping tracking was a breeze. the most impressive part of the whole experience was the way the item was packed. By that you can tell they do care about what they sell very much. I rarely see such quality packing. the web site is well thought through, so I am adding them to my favorite merchants bookmark! I wonder why they do not advertise themselves???
