"Overall, they did a pretty darned good job. We had a mistake in the shipping, but they quickly corrected it. I got a good deal on some great Leica binoculars. I talked to a live person every time I called. The only negative was that they did not respond to my emails in a timely fashion, but WERE working on fixing the problem.
I would and do plan on ordering a Nikon spotting scope from them in the future.

"---------------------------------- Ok here's the latest followup to what's posted below:
Much to my surprise AAA actually did mail me what appears to be a genuine YashicaUSA warranty card. I received it exactly one week after I called and complained that the camera arrived without any warranty. So alls well that ends well and I hope everyone else reading this has the same happy resolution but without any of the sleepless nights that I suffered. ----------------------------------
This is a followup to a post last week that accidentally got overwritten or erased about a Yashica Dental Eye III camera. -------------------------------- Ok, I received my camera today, 26 days (and at least a dozen long distance calls) after my check cleared. They sent it UPS Next Day after claiming that they had already sent it Priority Mail. Personally I don't believe for a New York minute that they would send a $1,000 camera by USPS Priority Mail since Priority Mail can't be tracked. But at least they had the decency to finally send it UPS Next Day without charging me extra.
HOWEVER, I was specifically promised a genuine Yashica U.S.A. warranty. Other places I shopped said it was impossible to get this particular camera at such a low price with a U.S. warranty included. But AAA Camera did promise me one several times before I mailed my check. And my check was accompanied with a letter specifically stating that I was ordering a camera with Yashica U.S.A. warranty included.
Of course the camera arrived today with no warranty whatsoever, Yashica or otherwise.
I almost expected as much.
Maybe I should just be grateful the camera arrived at all and that it was unused. But I don't intend to let this drop.
I'll post again after I hear their side of this.

By the way, these guys will even lie to you about their names! I have spoken with the same person on several occassions when he has claimed to be "Mike", "Bob" or "Harry". When I called him on it he said "we all sound alike". When I asked "Harry" his last name he said it was "Watson". The BBB has "Harry Green" as the owner. From his accent its obvious his name is NOT "Harry Watson" and probably not "Harry Green" either."
"I purchased a pair of Pentax binoculars from aaacamera.com on 8/29/03. The same scenerio happend as with many other customers. I received an email stating I needed to call aaacamera. When I did I spoke with Timothy who claimed the webpage was incorrect as the price listed was for an international warranty. I upgraded and payed through paypal. I felt uneasy about the purchase and found resellerrating.com and checked on aaacamera and when I found their ratings I was sick to my stomach. I immediatly called and canceled my order and asked for a refund. That process took 4 phone calls (the next day) with Mark, Bob, Mike, and Timothy whom all sounded like the same person. Very rude and was hung up on all 4 times I called. I immediatly called them back and when the same voice answered the phone I would address him with the name he had given me. He would state the that person had just stepped out, give me another name and ask how could he help me. Each conversation ended with them saying don't call back and hanging up. They did refund my money later that day though thorugh paypal.com and have yet to pull anyother tricks. Sounds like I was lucky. I have checked daily with my credit card company since the incident. I have since established an account with resellerratings.com and intend to check each company before purchasing as well as using paypal. My experience is not nearly as horrific as some but would still classify it as poor and will never again do business with aaacamera.com regardless of them refunding my money. Salesmanship is sneaky and customer relations is extremely poor. Friendly when taking your money and will hang up on you when you want it back. "
"Do NOT buy from this company. They charge your Credit Card when items are out of stock and do not keep customer apprised of status. Very rude customer service!"
"In late December 2002 I purchased an Metz32z-1 flash from AAA Camera in New York. They told me the item was in stock and would be shipped as soon as they recieved payment. I sent them a USPS money order for $107.69. To this day 01/30/03 I have not recieved the flash. I have called them three times and they have told me three different stories. Item was shipped, not in stock, no record of transaction. One lie after another. The Post Office tells me I will have to wait sixty days to do a trace on the money order to see who and when it was cashed. I don`t expect to ever see the product I ordered or the money I paid them. My experience with this company has been a bad one."
"This is a copy of the letter sent by me to AAACamera. Lori King
I'm very disappointed in your service; I phoned to verify that you had the product that I wanted, and when you confirmed that you had the product on hand, I was requested to place the order on line. It's been more than a week and I you still have not shipped the camera that I ordered from you. This e-mail is to inform you that this order is cancelled by me as of May 18, 2003. Do not send the merchandise on Monday 5/19/2003 as stated in our phone conversation last week. If this order is filled it will be returned at your expense and American Express will be notified to reverse the charges. I checked your rating on www.resellertratings.com and you have a poor rating of (.71) on a scale of 1-10. After the constant delays in shipping this product to me, I can now see that this rating is a true representation of your company. By the way, my business partner ordered a camera from B&H the same time I ordered this one from you, and he received his camera two days later.

"Not good! I purchased a piece of camera equipment over two months ago. I was was told it was in stock and it would be shipped. It wasn't and two months later I am still try to get the equipment or a refund. They don't answer emails and make false promises when you can get them by phone. With som many other merchants selling camera equipment on the internet put this place at the bottom of your list."
"This is a follow up to my ongoing painful experience with AAA Camera. Beware! I think they now call themselves "CAMBRIDGE CAMERA".
Please refer to my April 2001 posts for more background info.
Order Number: 214659 Salesperson: Mr. Harper
I placed an order on Sunday, March 4, 2001 with AAACamera.com (AAA Camera Exchange, Inc.). I received a phone call and E-mail notification on that same day to confirm the order.
I contacted them (info@aaacamera.com) on March 8 to inquire about my order. I received no reply. The price was $285.08. However, my credit card was charged $305.03.
In an E-mail message I told them to cancel my order if I did not receive the order by March 12. I received no reply. I sent them another email message on March 12 to inquire about the order and cancel it. No reply.
On March 13 I sent another Email message clearly stating that I wanted the order cancelled. They ignored all my cancellation notifications. On March 23, I notified my Credit Card company in writing. I told my credit card company that the charge from AAA Camera was in error because the product hadn't been received and I had cancelled the order. I have all the E-mail messages I sent AAA Camera. Each Email message has the message ID (a unique identifier) intact. These identifiers can be used to prove that the message was sent and routed to their mail server.
After multiple cancellation notifications, AAA Camera chose to send the product anyway. The order arrived April 23, 2001 by UPS. I immediately called AAA Camera telling them that the order had been cancelled. They faxed me a paper for me sign and fax back to them stating that I would pay a $43.44 restocking fee. It was never mentioned during our phone conversation on March 4 that the product was not in stock.
On March 4, the order number was: 2253. The invoice number given to me on April 23 is 214659.
On March 13, 2002, I received a letter from my credit card company saying that AAA Camera says I received the merchandise. But I have proof that I returned it on 5/8/2001. I sent the merchandise insured and certified! I even have pictures of the package. They received it on May 10, 2001. I have the USPS Return Receipt signed by them! Good thing I kept those documents! Anyway, I sent a copy of the signed Return Receipt and the Insured Mail Receipt to my crdit card company.

I'm glad www.resellerratings.com is up and running again! I'm glad I remembered my password too!"
"Absolute worst experience I have had with on line shopping. Stay far away from AAA camera - It took me almost a year to get my money back and only through American Express Counter Claim. "
