"I wanted USA Warranty Nikon equipment, the seller told me the equipment was USA Warranty, and charged a price that is comparable with goods that are USA Warranty.
When the goods got here, there were no warranty papers. I was suspicious and called Nikn, and they confirmed that seller is not an authorized dealer and cannot sell USA Warranty goods.
I returned the fkasg immediately, and filed a complaint with Pay Pal to reverse the transaction.
Pay Pal would not give me my money back as seller told Pay Pal he delivered the goods. (Essentially Pay Pal will not get involved if the goods are not as promised.)
I am now trying to get my money back from my credit card. It's been over 30 days since I returned the goods and the seller hasn't made any effort to give me my money back.
A reputable seller would not have lied about the goods, and a reputable seller would not have fought my complaint at Pay Pal. A reputable seller would have posted a prompt refund."
"It has been over a month and a half since I first ordered a couple of lenses. I have called and cancelled my order over four times now. The person on the phone, the same guy every time, says that he does not know why it was not taken care of and that he will cancel my order. Pay pal will not refund my money, does any one know if I am legally aloud to cancel this through my credit card (Paypal uses my credit card)?
Is there anything we can do to stop this company? I filed a complaint on bbb.org, and have noticed that they have over 240 complaints. I am waiting on hearing from them. I would be more than willing to join anything to help stop this company."
"This company is apparently an absolute joke and I am very glad to have found this review board. I tried to purchase a tripod last year, and after a week, or longer I was told the item was not in stock, and could not be delivered on time. Also thought I would try them again today 4-20-04 for the purchase of some Leica binoculars that they were advertising for $400 less than normal, but I found that no phone numbers worked, and the company could not be found in directory assistance as even being in New York. CAVEAT EMPTOR"
"Purchased camera online. They had claimed it has U.S. warranty and made no mention of the fact that they would switch the manufacturer's lens with some thrid-rate aftermarket lens. camera arrived in not-new condition, gray market and with cheap lens. Attempts to rectify were met with arrogance and rudeness. These people should NOT be in the retail business.
I couldn't find the original invoice, but if you really need it to include my rating, please let me know."
"I ordered a camera bag which was listed as in stock on the companys website on June 10th 2002. When I did not hear from the company till the 18th I called them and they said very rudely that the item was not available and I have to wait ten days. I asked them to cancel my order and the guy just hung up the phone without aknowledging. Overall I had a very bad experience. The least they could have done is inform me that the item was not available."
"Warning: AAA Camera is the same as AAA Camera Exchange.
I stumbled into the AAAcamera.com site from Google while searching for some Nikon lenses. The site lists practically every camera and lens made by anybody, at very attractive prices. When I called them to place some orders, I was a little taken aback by how curt these people were. When they could not answer some very basic questions, I got a little suspicious. The only thing the sales rep wanted to do was to very quickly get to my credit card number, which was a red flag.
The guy finally gave me a toll number to call for any "technical questions". I figured they were probably a low-cost, low-margin operation, and called the toll number (212)675-3957. The "help" I got was pathetic, so I decided to do a little more research on the products I wanted.
When I hit Google again, I chanced upon a link to a Web site called AAA Camera Exchange that led me to this site (ResellerRatings.com). Here, I saw that AAA Camera Exchange was portrayed as nothing short of a total disaster from many customers who have been burnt by this company.
I was not sure if AAA Camera Exchange and AAACamera.com were one and the same, so I checked out both the sites, and saw that they cross linked to one another. Here, at this link, you can see that they talk about AAA Camera Exchange on the AAAcamera.com site: http://www.aaacamera.com/about_us.html
Out of curiosity, I called the AAA Camera number and asked the sales rep if AAA Camera.com was in any way affiliated with AAA Camera Exchange, or if they were the same company.
The guy BLATANTLY LIED and said he had "never heard of AAA Camera Exchange", and that "must be somebody else". Unbelievable! I called a few hours later just for the heck of it, spoke to a different sales rep, who also said he did not know any AAA Camera Exchange, and they were AAA Camera.com.
You would think if these guys wanted to shed their dubious reputation and clean up their image, they would have the sense to use some unrelated new name, but apparently not.
In any case, please be advised that AAA Camera.com and AAA Camera Exchange are the same business. I came very close to risking over $2500, and feel very lucky that I dodged a bullet.
"Overall, they did a pretty darned good job. We had a mistake in the shipping, but they quickly corrected it. I got a good deal on some great Leica binoculars. I talked to a live person every time I called. The only negative was that they did not respond to my emails in a timely fashion, but WERE working on fixing the problem.
I would and do plan on ordering a Nikon spotting scope from them in the future.
Doug"

"Placed an order for a rangefinder in May crediet card not been debited and goods not sent looks like I have been very lucky after reading the comments on this board Phew !"
"Tried to order 2 Tamrac photo backbacks (order value of about US$ 580). Ordered on 06 SEPT 2002. I still have not received the order after 8 weeks. AAA Camera does not respond to e-mails, they are very rude on the phone.
They are not willing to trace shipments, provide shipping details, ...
Worst on-line shopping experience ever!"
