"I bought a pair of canvas boat shoes through 6PM brand Mia Low Tide, They didn't fit well - cost total $21.89 - but taking them to postoffice to return was going to be over $9.00 reg mail - almost 50% of what I paid. No free return shipping. You're better off to buy at ZAPPOS or even Macy's where you can return. I would never order anything from 6PM again. Bev"
"I bought a pair of shoes, they shipped the wrong item. IT WASN'T like "Oh the wrong size", no it was COMPLETELY a different shoe. I emailed them, no response. So I was forced to called customer service, where I had to say a lot of information(perhaps it goes for a lot of companies but I felt like this one was a bit too much) but she did help & was friendly. It seemed like things would go good with returns, they gave me a return shipping label and said they would ship my pair I ordered in the first place. I ship them back the incorrect pair, wait, and see that they cancelled my order on the pair I did order. Ok fine, whatever I'll get new ones. HOWEVER, they DID NOT refund my payment. It's been over a month since this incident, no refund or ANYTHING from them. The last email they said about the refund/return was 3/26. Today it's 5/1 and nothing. I would stay away from them, I really wish I did google the company before I bought stuff from 6PM. I'd stay away, but good luck."
"Terrible. Ordered pants size 36x34 and they sent size 38x34 and made me pay shipping back their mistake to get a refund. As a long time Zappos customer I guess the only thing I can do is to boycott both companies."
"If you order large orders will find that nearly half the items will be defective! It is truly a hit or miss with this company. It sucks to get the last of an item and love the style and the fit but its covered in spots, scratches or it has a broken zipper! I found this site after realizing that all these items come from the Zappos web site. I used to shop at Zappos until my bank account was taking a hit by the high prices. I think that maybe the items that are offered at 6pm are the returns and rejects from Zappos. Some times you may get lucky and find a keeper but that is far is far and few between. Yes 6pm has lower prices than Zappos but they are still pricey. You must pay for you own returns too. They do not price match even if the item goes on sale within 24 hours. You will sit on hold for no less than 10 minutes until you get a live person and then you will be placed on hold for another 5-10minutes depending on the issue. When you send something back you need to pay special attention to your account to make sure that the original form of payment and price is refunded or they will try to give you a "store credit". You need to check your credit card statement as well! Just because it states it has been refunded on your account does not mean that it really was! They do not do exchanges. Make sure you get tracking confo for all items you return! BOTTOM LINE...Unless you like to gamble...steer clear. If you don't mind all of whats listed...then shop on!"
"We ordered a pair of shoes from them. They sent the shoes to the wrong address. We called customer service. They said there was nothing they could do. We never received shoes and lost money."
"Ordered a jacket from them, received a different jacket. Exchanged 3 or 4 emails with them before they understood that they need to send me the right item. Did receive the right item a couple of days ago. Now they're asking me to send the wrong one to them. Which I don't mind. But because *they* messed up the order, made me wait for the right item and argue with them over it, and want *me* to act as their shipping boy, I feel like they should at least compensate me with a discount on a future order. So far they're not budging. But this company is famous for messing up people's orders and then, most of the time, making their customers pay for return shipping of the items they didn't order. I'm holding my ground here, but if you want a smooth shopping experience, avoid this company."
"As a rather poor college student, I'm always up for good deals. I found a pair of Vibram FiveFingers on 6pm.com for $39.99, which happens to be 60% off the normal price. After researching the legitimacy of the company, I was a little concerned, but I bought them anyway because I knew I would never find a better deal. I purchased them early in the morning on Tuesday, and I they were sitting on my front porch on Thursday by 3pm. I was shocked because I had been told it would be 5 - 10 business days! They came so quickly I hadn't even had time to order my socks!! I could not be happier with the company!!"
"Avoid this company. If they send you a defective item, as they did me, you must pay for the return shipping costs. The returns page on their website clearly state that the customer is responsible for all shipping costs. When I contacted customer service they refused to reimburse me for my costs to return the item. Any savings they you might incur by shopping with them will be wiped out in the event that you need to return something. It's not worth the gamble."
"I ordered shoes five days ago and they already came in! They were name brand, they were really cheap I even got free shipping, the shoes were exactly like the picture, size I ordered, the overall total experience was wonderful! Love this sight I will order from 6pm again soon. Extremely happy with my purchase! Thank you 6pm!"
"I was a little hesitant to place an order through this site based on all the negative reviews out there. But after reading the positive ones and finding out that the site is affiliated with zappos, I decided to risk it with my fingers crossed. And i am SO happy I did. I received my handbag ( just a few days after placing the order) in perfect condition with absolutely no issues. The exact same handbag is at Macys right now for almost $30 more. What a steal and I am so in love with the bag and get compliments all the time. I had to make sure I shared my experience for everyone who was contemplating using this site. Maybe it is only risky with shoe orders? Regardless, I am very happy with my purchase and the service provided :) "
"Really disappointed with 6pm shoes. I received my order today and I received the wrong pair of boots, not the wrong size, a completely different pair. They don't have a customer service number to call and talk to anyone. You e-mail them and get back an automated response that due to high volume of e-mails they will get back to you asap. Are you kidding me. Their return policy is that the buyer pays for return shipping. Looks like I will be paying to return boots I never ordered. Will write a follow up to let consumers know what happened. "
"Ordered a high dollar pair of boots and they came with a broken leather buckle. How can they send out damaged products and expect to stay in business. Paid for 2 day shipping and am not being reimbursed for that expense. Now I have to return the damaged item at my own expense. Will be out over 40 dollars and my time to return these boots. Do not buy from 6pm.com. They will stick you with a damaged product and make you pay for their mistake. Warning! Do not do business with these people. Pay a little more and avoid the gamble. I will never shop with them again."
"I am not sure what problems other people had but I had a great experience with this company. I ordered a backpack 2 days ago the website says 5-10 business days for delivery. I woke up this morning to a package on my porch. The backpack (fantastic discount btw I got a normally $50 backpack for $28!!!) is brand new and was packaged very well. I personally would not hesitate to order from them again."
"I never write reviews on products or companies. With that said I felt it was my duty to inform other consumers NOT to buy anything from 6pm.com!!! I ordered a sweater from 6pm.com that was advertised to be a white Billabong sweater. I actually received a shrunken sweater that looked like it would only fit a 5 yr. old child. It could not have been further from the pictured sweater I in fact ordered. It was the wrong size and it did not have any label on it to demonstrate who in fact made the sweater. However, it did have the correct billabong tags attached to it. So what they did was attached the correct tags to some random no name brand sweater and sent it to me and then charged me for it! It wasn't even the correct size or materials! When I called the customer service number to complain and demand that they fix the situation I was put in touch with someone who I could barely understand. They informed me that I needed to pay to ship it back to them and once they received and processed the return they would credit my account (anywhere from 2-10 days to process)! The customer service was horrribleee to say the absolute least! Come to find out their call center is in the Philipines. After screaming for 20 minutes about how I was not going to pay for their mistake they said they would supply me with a USPS shipping label but they normally never do that. Gee, thanks so much for altering your horrific policies to correct YOUR MISTAKE!They could not tell me why this happened, how this happened, where in the world the sweater I actually ordered was because I certainly did not receive it. The did not seem to care at all about what had happened or that they were losing my business! I will NEVER EVER buy anything from this company again! Do not be fooled by their low prices on brand names or the "free shipping" because in the end you will end up paying to ship back your incorrect, crappy items!I just hope when they finally receive this sweater back that they have enough sense to not put it back on the shelf and sell it to some other unsuspecting shopper!"
"I will never order from 6pm.com again. I was shocked it cost so much for a return.I contacted 6pm.com and told them of my dissatisfaction of this situation. Their return email to me was basically- "too bad" ( of course I'm para phrasing- but they won't help me out )"
