"Bid on an Opteka SLR & DSLR Camera Long Zoom Holster Case, and won the bid. Paid for it trough PayPal only to have them cancel order after it was paid for, because they were out of stock. The eBay ad said they had 10 in stock. I see they have an ad on Amazon for the same case, and it says they are in stock.

They have yet to refund my money back to PayPal and I will probably contact PayPal about the issue. Don't ever buy from this outfit."

"Excellent product and delivery. If you ever speak to 47th Street Photo on the telephone; ask them to send you an email confirmation of any promises they make to you. With this company you will need the emails."

"Attempted to buy a couple Opteka grids and a remote shutter release - seller listing says will combine shipping, but on the final invoice shipping costs 2x what it should.

Emailed seller, waited a day, no reponse - called seller, did not respond to voicemail. Waited another day, called again, 3min dead air before someone realized their phone was live, spoke with 2 agents (Ryan & supervisor David), whose idea of resolving the issue was to cancel the order and send me somewhere else. Customer service was nil.

Hearing now that many items arrive damanged/used, maybe it's for the best!"

"Payed $20 to have a lens shipped with UPS 2nd Day Air®

Now 3 days later all I get is:

"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated"

what's the point in paying extra for the 2 day shipping if it takes this long to ship it?"

"I have been dealing with 47th Street Photo for almost a year. They have excellent customer service and have treated us with great care. When ever we have had a problem which is not often they dealt with it in a professional and satisfying way. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for affordable photography accessories. "Hi! I ordered a package with a Nikon lens, Opteka C950 camera bag, Opteka filter kit and a tripod. I ordered last Friday on April the 29th and received it Thursday on May 5, 2011. So the shipping was extra smooth and the customer service was excellent. Thank you, my package was correct and nothing was torn or crushed. I would definitely purchase again."

"I ordered a "Opteka Battery Pack Grip" for Nikon D90 SLR Camera on February 9th, 2010. I know it is a bit late to be making a comment at this time but I thought it is important that I do. The item was delivered as per estimated date given and I was please with 47th Street Photo store efficiency, truely customer service at its best. nevertheless after 7 months of having the Battery Pack Grip, it stop working. For a minute I thought it was my camera was the problem but after several attempts to identify the problem I realized the camera works well without the battery grip. I would place to fully charge batteries in the pack and the indicator shows battery is low. It is not worth sending it back because finacially its not worth the cost of shipping. Sad to say it did not last very long and I am very disappointed because I am still back to my original position, wanting a battery pack. I will still ask the question, can I return the item for a new one?"

"I don't know why people are hating on 47 st. photo. I have found 47 st. photo to have amazing service. I bought a fisheye and wanted to exchange it for another one and they payed for the shipping and the day it got there, they sent the other one back. The man was very very helpful on the phone and the service was quick. THANK YOU 47ST. PHOTO"

"I purchased a Sigma lens from them on eBay at a price about 10% higher than I can get from other sellers with better eBay feedback, because this company is an authorized Sigma dealer. Sigma requires the purchase to be made from an authorized dealer for you to qualify for factory extended warranty and this is the SOLE PURPOSE I purchased from this retailer despite the poor feedback and I think they know it.

When I boughtit using Buy It Now and paid for it, I was promptly given a UPS tracking number to give me an impression that it was shipped right away. I checked a few days later only to find the package isn't tendered to UPS.

I contacted them and I was told they do not have it in stock and are awaiting shipment, yet they kept the item as available for purchase on eBay.

I'm thinking they put things up for sale they do not have, then order as they receive money from customers.

It took them an entire week for them to ship from the date I paid. I demanded them to ship Next Day Air to meet original delivery schedule, but they pinched pennies and only agreed to ship 2nd Day Air. This wouldn't have been necessary if they didn't misrepresent what they don't have as available.

The package arrived in a box just barely big enough to contain the lens and this isn't an acceptable way to ship a $670 item.

I had a 10% off eBay coupon, so I bought from them instead of B&H, but if I didn't, I wouldn't have bought from them since B&H's price is comparable and they have much better return policy.

keep in mind... this place DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FOR REFUND, ONLY FOR STORE CREDIT.

"I placed an order for a Canon photo lens on July 18th with 2 day shipping. I call on July 22nd because it has not shown up. After more than 15 minutes on the phone, I am told their system screwed up, the item was never shipped, and they do not have the item in stock. The person on the phone did not have a clue. I will stay far away from EVER doing business with this incapable business. I was promised a refund on my order. My guess is I'll be fighting for that as well."
