"I ordered a Canon PowerShot SX260 HS from 42nd Street Photo. It was one of the lowest prices on the internet. A representative from the company called me to confirm the package was sent & I recieved in a timely manner. It was a joy to order from 42nd St. Photo & will recommend it going forward.
Thanks!

"Best prices bar none on my new camera purchase. Before shipping out, they called me to confirm some shipment details, and mentioned I needed a specific type of memory card. Appreciate the extra step of reviewing my purchase and recommending the right accessories. Wasn't pushy, just good old fashioned expertise. Thanks!"

"Best price by (from reputable dealers) on a new Nikon D7100 w/18-105 lens. Did get a call with a low-key "up-sell", but no high pressure when I declined the offers. Product as ordered, took 5 days to receive, but with free shipping, no complaints. Good service, would use again."

"Before Buying my Camera from 42 nd Street, I had mixed reviews about the store. I understand that people say they call and ask you to but memory card and all. I also got the call. But the thing is That's the work of the sales man there. They dont force you to buy any. At the end its your decision. i found the best rate here and completely satisfied."

"For years (literally, years), I went back and forth over what type of digital SLR to buy and where to buy it from. Eventually, I decided on Canon’s Rebel T3i, but where to buy it, was still an issue. Some time ago, I stumbled upon “Pricegrabber.com”, and used their resources to locate the vendor with the best price for the camera. Admittedly, 42nd Street Photo had the 2nd best price, but their customer’s experience and satisfaction was the highest (more on this later).

Before I go any further, I need to admit that, yes, I’m frugal. I’ll proudly buy it from Wal-Mart if the price is lower. I’ve accepted it, embraced it, and strive to use my powers to better humanity. So, I immediately chose the place with the “best price” (yes, I’m using double quotes here). I placed the order, and immediately (kid you not) had an ominous feeling. Long story short, I received a follow-up call from the vendor, and my suspicions were confirmed. During the conversation, I found out that I wasn’t getting the product that was being advertised, but more importantly, the product wasn’t in stock (even though their website said it was). As a result, the order would have been shipped to me in 3-5 weeks – which, wouldn’t have worked because I’m going to take a photography class in two. I told the vendor, “No thanks”, cancelled my order, and went with 42nd Street Photo. I honestly haven’t regretted the decision since. The camera came in about a week, and although I quickly realized that I knew absolutely nothing about how the camera works, I did, however, have the camera at a price much significantly less than anyone else.

So, thank you, 42nd Street Photo. Thank you for turning my frown upside down.

"I was very happy with 42nd Street Photo. They took the time to call me with a question right away and checked to be sure I had remembered the correct kind of memory card. He was very friendly, and he told me what a good camera I had chosen. After reading many reviews, that really made me feel better. It arrived very quickly, and it arrived in excellent shape. The price was MUCH lower than anywhere else that I found as well!! I would order with them again!"

"Ordered the Nikon 5100 from 42nd St. Photo. Before the ordered was shipped, I got a call asking me if I wanted to require a signature upon delivery. I thought that was excellent of them to ask, as things have a way of growing legs and walking off. They also asked me if I wanted to purchase a memory card as well. I said no, but was told that they would sell it to me at a discounted rate if I purchased the 1 year warranty on the item (I had assumed that it already came with a 1 year warranty, but was told that it was only 30 days). Before ordering the unit, I noted that the website said "US Warranty", but asked anyway if it was an import (only 30 day warr). I was told that it was not an import. Therefore, my assumption was that it was a 1 year US warr (normal for a non-import). I was a little taken aback by only getting 30 days and considered cancelling the whole thing, as I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting an import. They then told me that there would be a 15% restocking fee. Maybe I didn't read this on the website, but it seemed to me that I was being cornered into purchasing the card. I continued to say "no" and asked more questions regarding the warr. After a little time, the salesperson said that he couldn't stay on the phone any longer and as a favor, gave me the 1 year warranty. That was what I was expecting from the beginning. So, in the end, I got what I wanted, but not without a little bit of hassle with it. After purchasing the unit, I went back on-line to check the listing again and low and behold, the "US Warranty" was not listed anymore. Overall, I got a great price for the US version of the camera and am relatively happy with the purchase. I just didn't need the little bit of wrangling to get it. I would recommend 42nd St. Photo to an extent, but make sure you know everything before you buy. Do the research.

Revision 5/1/13- Got a call from Jonathan, their Sales and Marketing Mgr and I've got to tell you. He's truly dedicated to 100% satisfaction of their products and service. He explained to me that the sales rep and I had a misunderstanding. While I was speaking about the manufacturer's warranty, the sales rep was speaking about the store warranty. Easy mistake to make and we made it! After the explanation, I was much happier with the overall experience. Jonathan is a breath of fresh air when it comes to quality customer service. He hooked me up with some nice items to make me even happier, even when they weren't needed to satisfy me. All I needed was the explanation and I was good. Kudos to 42nd St. Photo for doing things right! Wish every merchant was as caring and understanding. "

"I ordered online and was called by someone at 42nd Street Photo before my camera shipped. I wanted only the camera and no memory cards or extended warranty. The salesman tried to sell me memory cards and indicated most cards wouldn't be fast enough. I just insisted I had cards that would work and we went on to the warranty issue. He wanted to know if I wanted to supplement the 30 store warranty and I turned him down as I was happy with the 1 year manufactures warranty."
