"i ordered a camera and a memory card from 1wayphoto it was shipped right away no questions asked althought i did have to call up for a tracking # and they did tell me i lucked out and got one of the last d200's available"
"One-Way Photo is CROOKED! Unfortunately, I have just been ripped off by this company. Approximately a month ago I proceeded to order a Canon EOS 5D camera body with a compatible Canon lens from One-Way Photo's website. A few days later I received a phone call from a salesperson who had received my order. He ignored my order and proceded to slyly sell me one of his package "deals." He talked very quickly and with a foreign accent and I had difficulty understanding. When I told him that I wanted the Canon EOS 5D Camera body with a compatible Canon lens, he offered a package with several misc. items and calculated it to be approximately $4,000. I told him that was over my budget and asked for the Canon EOS 40D camera body instead. He recalculated while quickly listing and adding little trinkets to make the deal sound good and gave me a price quote for the package to be close to $3,000. I told him that I needed to think about it and he told me that I had to decide about it right then to get the good deal he was offering me. He told me of a new lens that he was putting in the package, but did not tell me what it was. When I received the camera equipment package, the lens was a Siegma brand, not Canon as I requested. I called another representative at One-Way-Photo and told him that I was expecting a Canon lens and I questioned what kind of a deal I had received. I told him I had requested a Canon lens and that is what I wanted. He refused to listen and instead he told me that Siegma makes Canon lens and that I had received a great deal because this was a $1,500 lens. When I asked if I could exchange the lens for a Canon lens, the salesman told me that I would have to return the entire package as that is how the equipment was sold. That seemed like a huge hassle to me, so I tried the lens anyway, photographing some clients. I was not happy with the results and I decided to return the entire package as per their request. When I called to get a Return Authorization Number, the salesperson said I could just return the lens and did not have to return the camera body. The man told me that I would get a refund of $599 for the lens, and they have it listed in their catalog as costing $1,499.00. I asked about that and said that if I return the lens for $599, I have then just spent $2,400 for a Canon 40D body and they list for $1,300 in other photo stores. He told me that I did not pay $1,500 for the lens because it was a package deal, but would not tell me the breakdown cost of what I did pay for it. He began yelling at me when I informed him that I would like to return the entire package as I felt I got ripped off, and I didn't even receive what I initially ordered. He continued to yell and was incredibly rude and unprofessional, telling me he would refuse the camera package if I tried to return it and that he would ruin my business, and carried on yelling to the point that I could not understand what he was saying. He forced me to settle for a refund of the lens only for $699 and I felt that I had no choice because of the threats he had made. I am planning to report him to the BBB as well and empathize with all of the other terrible experineces listed in this review. I only wish I had seen this site before I ever filled out the order. This has been a costly ($1,000) lesson that I am extremely upset about. I will NEVER do business with One-Way Photo again and I will warn others about this crooked company as well. I only hope they will be investigated and forced to close their business to end this frustration. I was and still am COMPLETELY disatisfied with this company and have never had such an awful experience in my purchases. This company needs to be forced to shut down! Kristy Paeth Anchorage, Alaska "
"After placing an order with this company, I read these terrifying reviews. I got scared! I called the company to cancel the order but got a very warm apology from the manager along with a garauntee that if anything goes wrong with my order he would throw in another camera with my purchase. That was a comforting thing to hear so I went along with it. I just gor EVERYTHING I ordered and shipped quite fast I might add. Very pleased with this company and highly recommend it. Best prices hands down! Scott was a wonderful person to deal with."
"I ordered a D300 prior to reading the reviews. After I read the reviews I was extremely worried. The product arrived in good order earlier than I expected. The price was right. I agree with one of the earlier rreviews. I wish they would just say that they are gray market. I've bought other cameras gray market and am very happy. I am satisfied. "

"Reviews of 1 Way Photo are unfair. This is my favorite store. The workers are my most loyal subjects. The sales techniques they use I have taught them personally. They serve me very well.
"this site is unbelievable all they do is put on the bad ratings for people that have no life and just wanna make everybody annoyed .
I saw these reviews and I decided to check It out for my self , I had such a great experiance , they shipped me what I order and nothing else , no hard upsell at all , I'm saving so much money what the big deal if the ask u of u wanna by a battery or a meomry card for these types of savings u should thank them . Come on people get a life , and this site fails to mention the 8 thousand positive reviews on other seach engines such as shopcartusa and lowprice digital , people they want you to be scared this how this site makes money from people like u . "
"I ordered a camera lens and upon calling for a confirmation I was informed that the lens had a plastic mount and that a metal mount would be at a higher price. I said that i did not not want the higher price mount and in a very polite manner Scott asked if I wanted to cancel the order. I said that I did and he was most gracious in canceling my order. I received a cancellation notice via e-mail moments later. Scott (ext. 221) is a very polite and cooperative individual and because of him, I will do business with 1 way photo again in the future."
"I'm sorry that you all had such horrible experiences with this dealer. I cant even say that I am completely happy with the fact that the site said it was selling nikon d200 body kits for $1079.00 + s/h and I ended up paying a grand total of $1364.00. As many of you have said, they tried to sell me the $199.00 5-hour battery and charger that should already be included in the kit at the price of $1079. Also, the cheapest shipping method was $65.00!! Apart from that, they were very kind, polite, and helpful when I called them back because my tracking number wasnt working. I had actually wrote down the original tracking number they gave me wrong so it wasnt their fault at all and it actually arrived at my house less than 1 hour later. So I can say that I would give them about a 6/10 due to the whole battery, charger, s/h cost thing. But when I spoke to them, they were very nice and pleasant."
"I found 1 Way Photo Store was not as bad as I have read from most of the reviews.
I bought a package of Nikon D-200 with 2 lenses: 28-70 and 70-300mm from the store. The package arrived home in a reasonable speed. Nikon in Thailand assembled the camera; however, the two Sigma Lens were made in Japan. RepairTech in New Jersey covered the warranty.
The camera was functioning well, with the bargain price that this store offers, I can't complain much, except the charge for S&H was a bit high: $120. "
