"I had an unsavory experience with the "One Stop Knife Shop" and it's owner Kevin Schlossberg. Schlossberg owns an operates "Bladeforums.com" which is an extension of his knife shop, indeed all billing was collected by his "One Stop Knife Shop" enterprise'

On 1/5/12 I elected to join his bladeforums as a paid member, this was because you were not allowed to post images unless you were a paid member. The "Yearly" fee for a platinum level membership is/was $50,00! I paid it, five days later I was banned from the site, mind you not for anything I said or did on the forums, rather it was because his employee was not happy with my private communications shared between us. A few weeks later I contacted Mr Schlossberg both by phone, and via email, what follows is taken in large part from those conversations.

Regardless, it's the privilege of the forum to revoke membership at they're whim, I understand, and can live with it. However, when I contacted Mr Schlossberg for an immediate refund of my membership fee, he refused, using the banning action as his personal justification for keeping my money, even though the service I had purchased through the "One Stop Knife Shop" was only five days into a "Yearly" charge, frankly I was shocked by his brazen attitude, seriously, he was completely unconcerned, totally indifferent!

I explained to Mr Schlossberg that he would in essence be committing a theft, further that just because he and his employee had banned me, or that they didn't like me, it didn't justify his decision to simply appropriate my money! Nonetheless he remained adamant in his refusal. It was obvious that he felt nothing but contempt for me as a customer, It was such a small amount of money he clearly felt free to indulge his petty spite. I got the impression he was enjoying himself immensely.

Now $50.00 isn't a lot of money, certainly not to me it's not. However, just like anyone else, I don't like being taken advantage of, and I certainly don't like having my money stolen, then have the act flaunted in my face by the very culprit.

I advised Mr Schlossberg that it was in his best interest to simply refund my money in full, that if he continued down this course, that I'd take proactive measures, here, on the www against him. I told him the truth, that the www is an awfully powerful equalizer in 2012 America, I told him that he would rue the day he chose to arrogantly appropriate my money, as though he were handing out some sort of fine.

As you can ascertain, Mr Schlossberg elected to not return my money, and make no mistake, thats theft! It's theft to refuse refund of a "Yearly" membership fee just five-days into it no matter what stretch of reason is applied, makes no difference whether it was a knife, or a service, it was a product that he was selling, he owed a refund!

I find it very hard to believe that Mr Schlossberg can be accredited through the BBB, especially in the face of such overwhelming public dissatisfaction with him, and his business ventures, "One Stop Knife Shop/Bladeforums.com." Clearly the reason is because the vast majority of his business is with young males(teenagers)he is able to slide by, these youngsters are very unlikely to do much more then rant at him, certainly not proceed ahead with a complaint, and pursue it to completion, as I am of a mind to do.

While it's only $50.00, it's still theft, and Mr Schlossberg remains extrordinarily dishonest. I will post my account all over the www, I will also be filing a formal complaint with the BBB against him, and his business ventures.

It's my sincere hope that you folks spread the word, the best way to impact this type of disreputable business practice, is to cut it off at it's source, spend your money elsewhere folks, if he's willing to boost my $50.00 over such nonsense, what's he willing to do if you drop a few hundreds?"

"I went into the store completely ignorant to what kind of knife I needed. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable and nice. I left with the perfect pocket knife for my needs. He also was nice enough to show me the best way to sharpen the new knife I got. In conclusion if you want a good product for a good price from someone who truly knows their stuff you need to check them out!

Daniel Brashear soon to be long time customer. :)"

"Dealing with 1SKS was a very pleasant experience. They were running a sale on an awesome item and I was able to get in, order the item, and had it in my hands in record time at a great price. Can't really ask for much more than that. A+ all the way. Thanks, 1SKS!"

"I purchase a knife from these folks. When it came in I saw the inscription was misspelled. I called them and the customer service rep was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. They did not help me with my problem and charged me outrageous shipping and would not refund the cost to return what they falsely advertised."

"Bad business. Don't waste your time. As almost all of the others on here have noted, this place is extremely misleading in their stock availability. They have discontinued knives listed as available, but as soon as you place the order they tell you it's out of stock. Why do they need my CC info to figure out if the knife is actually in stock or not? Why don't they have an email contact address? WHY WON'T THEY PICK UP THEIR PHONE!? Why don't they have an answering machine? Its been 3 months and I simply cannot get a hold of them. This is one of shadiest, most deceiving companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their website is only useful for cross referencing pictures of knives, you can't actually order anything from them. They just want everyones information. If I could give this place 0 stars then I would, because it doesn't even deserve the one."

"Order placed in March and had to call to find out where my product is. It's now May and they said the product is no longer being made. Thanks for the heads up and constant waiting."

"Just spent an hour there and was helped by the owner of the store (Kevin?). He really took care of me and showed me all sorts of knives. We finally got it narrowed down and I'm very pleased. My son loved his dogs!!! A bit hard to find but worth it. "

"They're always helpful and polite...extremely knowledgeable. They have just about any knife you can think of in their store. Most of the bad reviews only seem to be about them not having a knife in stock...something someone wanted, but wasn't in stock, and that person was never charged for. (I assume this, because I've placed 4 or 5 orders with them, and nothing is charged until the item(s) ship.)"

"I first placed an order with 1SKS on February 1st,2010. They gave me a call saying the Emerson CQC14 kinfe was not in stock and on backorder. At the same time, they told me the four other Maxpedition items are also on backorder. I decided to accept the wait for these items till the estimated ship date of Feb. 22nd.
February 24th rolls around with no delivery or email notification that an item was still backordered. I called to completely cancel the entire order. I waited almost a month for this order in which 1SKS had nothing I wanted actually in stock and on backorder.
How this company became BBB accredited I'll never know. Given the ratings from others here, they should have never made the grade. BBB will get my opinion and I will NEVER order from 1SKS again. They should change their name to "One Stop Knife Suck"!

"I am already VERY Dissatisfied with this company and have not gotten my merchandise yet. I placed an online order on Monday, August 4th. I paid extra for 2 day delivery as it was essential I receive this knife for a birthday party Saturday, August 8th. The site did not indicate that the product was unavailable, my order receipt did not indicate anything about the product being unabvailable, yet I still do not have it. I have tried calling repeatedly and no one is picking up the phone. The website lists office hours on Saturday, but still... no one answers. I am furious. If they had inidicated the item was back ordered, I could have ordered elsewhere and had my birthday gift in time. Now the entire brithday is ruined as this is the only gift being given!!!!! They are completely unreliable, unprofessional, and unethical. I am going to be filing a complaint with the BBB."

“The item you ordered was out of stock at the time you ordered it. When the order was imported, you were sent an email to notify you of it's backorder status.

Our firm policy is never to charge for items that are not in stock. Your order was never charged. We attempted to give you a free tshirt to make up for the delay, however, it was refused.”
