"Had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company recently. Placed an order for a Nikon D70s plus Nikkor 18-70mm lens plus memory card
and bag and tripod and cleaning kit.

Price quoted for the pack was excellent even beating their own website for the camera and lens only!!(obviously no intention of selling the pack at the quoted price). Received an email from JoeyG 'out of Brooklyn' asking that I call to discuss the order. When I called he says that the lens in stock was a plastic lens(?) from some unknown manufacturer and that I obviously wanted the glass lens but would have to pay more for that. When I read out the order details quoting the Nikkor 18-70mm description he got irate saying he didn't have it(this is a very common lens these days) and that I would have to wait 3 months and pay more for it when it arrived. When I got irate he said I should buy from someone else and he would cancel the order. He then hung up the phone. When I called back to speak to 'Customer Services'. Another 'salesman' picked up the phone and promptly hung up when I asked for their customer service department.

Steer very clear of these crooks, they should be put out of business as soon as possible for these practices."

"I bought a blu-ray player through buy.com with 1 stop camera as the vendor. Ordered product 8/18/09 and due to shipping issues with the vendor, I finally received the product on 9/3/09. During the first shipment, 1 stop camera had to intercept the product from UPS delivery due to product being damaged. 1 stop camera never communicated this to me until I inquired after a long period of time. At this time, I gave a bad feedback and review for 1 stop camera due to the lack of customer service and communication. A second product was shipped and I received it damaged on 9/3/09. The cause for the second damaged product was probably a combination of 1 stop camera packaging and UPS. 1 stop camera shipped the product POORLY boxed only in the original Sony box. This is probably the cause for the mutliple damaged during delivery. After reporting the damaged product to 1 stop camera, Bobby tried to resolve the damaged product issue by offering to expedite and ship a replacement to be received within a week. By the time I receive the product, it would have been almost a month! Bobby stated that in order for him to expedite the shipment of the replacement product, I would have to change my previous negative feedback to a positive. I refused to change my feedback as I would still not be totally satisfied. Considering the length of time already taken and both product being damaged at some point during shipping, I will never be 100% satisfied with my purchasing experience with 1 stop camera. Once I refused to change my feedback to totally satisfied, Bobby became another person – and not a very nice person. Bobby now states that the feedbacks are not a big deal and threatened that he will just delete any negative feedback. As for the damaged product received, since I did not do as he asked, a replacement will not be shipped out until they received the damaged product in their warehouse and inspected which can take weeks for him to arrange for UPS to pick up and ship. A replacement will also take weeks to ship and there is a good chance that a replacement might not even be available at which time a credit will be issued. Bobby is basically saying and threatening me that unless I go with what he says by changing my feedback from a negative to a positive totally satisfied customer, he has the power and will make my exchange of the damaged product a long drawn out process and at the end, I may end up with nothing. Go elsewhere with a more reputable vendor. Do not use 1 stop camera!"

1StopCamera.com went ahead and shipped the order on the same day under UPS tracking number 1Z007FX10358327243.
1StopCamera.com had to reroute back the package to our location due the fact that our company was advised by ups that the item has been damaged.
On the 08/26/09 1StopCamera.com sent you replacement shipment under UPS tracking number 1Z007FX10365988338.
On the 09-04-09 you have informed our company that the new shipment has been damaged. We have scheduled a damage inspection with UPS that very same day.

Please be advised that:
1.You have chose “ground delivery” which takes 14-21 business days from the day that the order has been placed and as you can see by tracking it the shipment did arrive in a timely manner.
2. a) According to our policy “In the event that the item is damaged we need to file a damage inspection with the shipping company”.
b) Upon a pickup on the damaged unit then a replacement can be shipped out.

However, the Customer Service Representative Bobby offered to make an exception and sent you a new replacement shipment on the 09-04-09 with free express shipping and you refused his offer.

"I want to just say wow, wow to the rep that helped me with the purchase of the tv,priceand professionalism. I will come back when i sm ready for my receiver. you gave me discount prices and i want just to let you guys know if you ever need any pasper goods at wholesale prices i am here for you guys. once again you were great and i was amamzed. My wife was lets just go to the local store and get one, i was like lets try the internet and i am glad i was happy i was right for once. once again thankk you and wow!!"

"My experience with this order was with mixed opinions. Your salesmen & shipping dept were very acknowledgeable & helpfull. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for your billing dept as they appear to lack the expertise needed in the performance of their duties, especially in the procssing of credit card orders & direct customer contact. Their customer relations leave a lot to be desired. Where the sales dept works hard to make & close the sale, billing appears to do just the opposite, which could very well effect your profit statement in the future if not corrected.
I will continue placing orders with your firm in the future as you do carry quality merchandise at reasonable prices - as long as I do not have to deal with that phase of you operation.

Now here's my story:
Stereotypical sleazy NY camera store. I made an online purchase using a promotional discount code which was reflected on the invoice they emailed me.

They took their time processing the order and, of course, asked that I call them to "confirm" the order (and, of course, I was given the classic "upsell"). Took more time to ship. Item was OK but I was charged (through PayPal) more than the amount on the invoice (discount was ignored).
I emailed them with a copy of the invoice and the very simple request that the discount be honored. This was a promotional discount, not a mail-in rebate.

Rather than simply acknowledging the request for credit they sent me an email response "Please contact our Customer service support Team At 877 904 1192 at ext 1501."

Extension 1501 is "sales", and it took another 15 MINUTES with intervening disconnections to reach a "Customer Service" representative by the name of Edmund. I never spoke to a "Simon."

Edmund gave me a classic runaround.
"Oh, that discount will be issued as a refund later - within a week - you can call me back directly if that doesn't happen."

Yeah, right. Thanks very much, but I had no intention of having to waste any more time trying to reach them by phone especially since it takes a quarter hour to reach a representative.

I filed a dispute with PayPal and also filed this review here (now edited)
And then the funniest thing happened.
Only a matter of minutes (NOT 5 days) after filing this review I received a Paypal refund. It's amazing how quickly they can act when they think it is in THEIR best interests.

Sorry, these guys do not have a clue about customer service. They are unfamiliar with the concept of "Yes, I see that we made a mistake, I'll take care of that right away."

They wasted my time and then even called me to try to plead that they were doing ME a great favor by correcting their admitted error.

They are either dishonest or incredibly sloppy and inefficient.

Regardless, they are NOT recommended. There other other merchants that have good prices AND good customer service. But on a more positive note - These folks are already being monitored by the NY Attorney General's Office, so if necessary call their Consumer Hotline: 800-771-7755

Edit 01/05/10: And now they have the gall to respond with lies about how they handled my particular situation. Wrong names, wrong dates, and wrong description of what transpired. If I could change the rating to a negative number I would.

"Purchased the wrong lens for my husband (he wanted a different one). The lens that arrived was clearly not a USA nikon lens in a gold nikon box, but a grey-market imported lens in a nondescript white box.

Also purchased a digital canon P&S for my brother, it looked new, had all accessories and booklets, but didn't have the typical screen protective sticker you find on new items. Decided to return the lens, and keep the camera.

RMA received 12/30, lens was returned via UPS. UPS delivered lens on 1/04.

1/08 Call to customer service, they were very nice, took down the tracking #, said refund in 2-3 days.

1/13 called cust service, still very nice, refund in 2-3 days.

1/19 called cust service, refund "by 5pm tonight"

refund processed 1/20 3pm.

Nice cust service but the actual refund took forever. I was worried I might have to call the credit card company to dispute the charge. I will not purchase from them again, can't recommend."

"DON'T DO IT!!! I never take the time to write these reviews, but I will in this case. The experience I had with fotoconnection is the most blatant form of fraudulent advertising I have come across in years. I did not listen to the reseller ratings and ordered through these guys anyway and that was a huge mistake. I ordered a TV on a Thursday and forgot all about it deciding that the TV would show up when it showed up. I get a call on Sunday evening from a guy who is their "representative". Not only did he insult me with the bait and switch tactic, he actually told me that there were two television sets for the purpose of warranty and that I needed to buy the one that had the $300 warranty because it was a better product and he had that one in stock. I told him no thanks to the warranty. At first, he told me "the one" without the warranty was backordered and the only model he had was the one with the "US" warranty. When I called him on this, he became hostile and insisted I purchase the warranty. I refused and cancelled the order. I am keeping an eye on my credit card. Absolutely unbelievable."

"VICTOR was EXCELLENT!!! He was very helpful and cooperative in getting the Sony we wanted at a price we could work with. We love the TV and it came quicker than we expected. I have given 1Stop camera e-mail to my friends - one person has already ordered the same TV we have from you. I will DEFINITELY give you more business - BUT I will ALWAYS ask for Victor, he was persistent but very helpful at the same time.

"This was my first dealing with this company. I regularly buy online from several companies but I will not be using this company again. You can certainly get some good prices here but their customer service was terrible. Getting information was next to impossible with different stories being told by each person I spoke with. I eventualy had to cancel my order and am very disapointed to have to start looking for my product all over again."
