Ordered two bouquets for Valentines Day, both looked like they were bought in a grocery store check-out line, looked nothing like the picture on the website. One lived for about a week, however the expensive roses arrived with one dead, and survived three days; based on that alone. Never Again!
This really is not my biggest complaint. I ordered these Flowers in the early morning of the 11th of February, to be delivered the same day in the evening. This generated two extra charges. $11.99 for the same day, and $4.99 for the evening (on each bouquet..for additional charge of $38.37 incl tax.
20 minutes after ordering, Bloomex.ca phoned (1-800-Flowers) to advise that nobody under their contract delivers in the evening in my area (suburban London), and the flowers would have to be sent by CanPar (courier); sometime the next business day.
The flowers arrived at 5pm the next day, and 1-800-Flowers processed the credit card charges as if they honored the delivery request I originally requested and charged the $38.37 delivery fee for Flowers that came in a cardboard box by courier a day later, not the same day in evening I requested and paid an extra $38.37 for!
The flowers did not look anything like the picture on their website, and I paid $140.00 for check-out flowers, that would have been $19.98 if I went to the local discount grocery store, no vase, nothing!
I wrote an email to 1-800-Flowers advising that they charged my credit card for the original delivery terms that they could not live up to, and here it is March 1 - and they have failed to reply or credit the difference back to my credit card.
Poor Service, Poor Quality, and Internet Shipping Fee Bandits! NEVER EVER AGAIN!
WISH I HAD LOOKED UP THIS BUSINESS ON THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THEY ARE RATED FROM A-F, AND THIS BUSINESS IS RATED "F"!
Here is the link to the Canadian Better Business Bureau, almost 500 complaints and no response to almost 300!

Customer Service is horrible. I did a 2 free movie tickets promotion, where 1800flowers works with trialpay to get you the tix. They did not send them to me, and the rep said it was not her problem because its trialpay. I explained to her it was 1800flowers as they are the ones taking my money, so if they do not tell trialpay to send the tickets to me, then its 1800flowers problem. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said they cannot do anything more for me, so i asked again and then she just said have a good day and hung up on me!!! This lady wasted 35 minutes of my time, she had no idea about the promotion...which is still currently active...and then just read to me the info in fineprint that I already read on the website. If 1800flowers takes a customers money for a promotion they are responsible for that promotion, no matter if they have outsourced that work to a separate company.
A company needs to have good customer service and follow through on their promotions. If not they are never getting my business, and I'll be forthright about letting everybody I know not to order from them...
DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE, IF YOU DO YOU ARE SUPPORTING DISHONEST AND BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES.

NOTE : I was told by a very courteous customer service rep that my account would be credited the entire 23/- and I would get a $20 coupon in the mail for the inconvenience. I withdraw my negative review : The merchant charged my credit card $23/- when the total for the order was $3.24/- (and the email receipt from the merchant clearly shows this). They later claimed that I had used a $20 coupon code from the internet that they were not honoring any longer. That is fine. Cancel my order but do not charge me FRAUDULENTLY Mr Pititto. I ordered a puppy, chocolate and rose plant for $34.99. Another order was for a big teddy bear with a rose bouquet for $99.99. The puppy gift trio was supposed to arrive on Friday but arrived the following week on Tuesday night around 8pm. Of course, the rose plant was dead by then. The chocolate box is so small than what is pictured. Not worth the added $9.99 option they have available with a same day delivery order. The rose bouquet and teddy bear arrived promptly. Due to poor packaging, the roses were completely smashed by the bear during transit. I contacted 1800flowers about both orders. They refuse to do anything about it. My sister died and I couldn't get home as quickly as I wanted. I ordered some flowers to be there day 1 of the visitation. I started to place the order on-line but was too shook up to fill in all the info so I called them instead. the young man on the phone was very polite and took all my info without a problem. I ordered the large Garden of Grandeur™ for Sympathy. I was pleased with the service I got but was disappointed with the flower arrangement when I saw it at the funeral home. It wasn't as pretty as the picture and it seemed smaller than the arrangement on the web page as well. I was especially disappointed that there were only 2 lilies in the arrangement I got. It did arrive on time.

I ordered flowers for my girlfriend in Upstate NY for the Friday prior to Valentine's Day. The flowers didn't show up. I sent 1-800-Flowers a message via their website to complain. They encouraged me to call them to seek resolution. I did this, even though I am based outside the US and could therefore not take advantage of their free 1-800 number. The first time, the operator cut me off after about 15 minutes. Her key aim seemed to be to get money out of me, and I didn't think this reasonable under the circumstances.. so I guess she decided to hang up on me! The second time a new operator claimed her computer had frozen. The third operator transfered me to another department and I was then kept on hold for ten minutes. At which point I gave up. Awful experience. I emailed again to point out that I had no success with calling their customer service: no response so far received. No flowers. Nothing. Shocking.

Ordered flowers for delivery on Saturday, February 13th. Were not delivered and not expected to be delivered until the 16th (4 days after). If there is any kind of weather problems (in this case, the South and mid-Atlantic got hit with a weekend snow storm), and they do not use an extremely local florist, the delivery will not make it. This is the second time this has happened to me. Although the 2nd customer service representative I spoke to was helpful, the first was totally useless, claiming a 7 day freshness guarantee and refusing to cancel my order.
I ended up contacting FedEx myself and told them to send the presumably dead flowers back to the sender, that I did not want them to arrive. FedEx was great and totally helpful, 1800flowers was not. And for the record, although they "claim" there is nothing they can do once the order ships, that is total crap as I obviously nixed the order myself with a simple tracking number.
I will only be using local florists from now on.

Very unhappy. I ordered roses with a red vase for Valentine, however they sent the wrong vase. I paid more for the red vase. Sure, I understand mistakes can happen, but it must be corrected. Well they tried and even failed at that. They offered to redelivery a reorder on Sat, however when I checked my status, it stated it would be delivered on Tues, missing Valentines day. Isn't that the point of these flowers? To make it by Valentines. So I was lied to and they would not fix their mistake. Terrible communication as they stated they would give me a gift certificate, but never stated how I would get it. Just required another email to them. I would never buy from them again as they make too many mistakes and unkept promises.

After taking advantage of the "savings pass" program offered by 1800-flowers I received an email at the last minute saying that my order has been canceled because I used the promotion that they put out. I will not use this company again. How can they start a promotion and then cancel it at the last minute with no notice?

I bought some Harry London candy that I saw at the store, it's not the usual candy
that I buy but I noticed that it had a sticker on it that said save $20.00 instantly
on it when you buy this box of candy. How could I pass this up, I figured I would
some boxes and use them through out the year. I went home and ordered my flowers got
my confirmation email which said I would receive my flowers on Friday 2/12/10
well Friday comes and nothing shows up, I check my email at 5:00 and nothing is
their from them, I go on their site and check the status of my order and nothing
on the site has changed it still shows my order, and I notice that deliveries can
be as late as 7:00pm. Well seven o'clock comes NOTHING, eight o'clock comes NOTHING
Nine o'clock Nothing, 9:21 I get a email that my order was cancelled because I used
a savings pass and they decided that my order would be cancelled until I could show
proof that I bought the candy with the pass. I have my boxes of candy here, I have
my receipt. If I would have had a phone call or an email earlier maybe I could have
fixed this by sending a fax with proof, but instead they decided to just write me
off like I am nobody. Nowhere on this savings pass does it state 20.00 with proof of
purchase, it just says instant it also says it can be used up to 12/2010. This is
false advertisement. If you come along one of these candies do not buy it because
you will not save anything instantly, and if you buy flowers from 1800flowers beware
that you will not be notified if they cancel your order until well after the day
it is due to arrive.

HORRIBLE SERVICE - STAY AWAY!!
I order flowers from 1800FLOWERS on 06 February 2010, for delivery to my wife's office on the 12th of February. They were not delivered and there is no sign that they will be delivered in the future. I can understand that due to weather conditions, things get pushed back and life happens, but this is the second time I have used this service and the second time that they have taken my money but not delivered any flowers. For as expensive as a service as they are, you would expect they would deliver, but not the case. Stay away from these guys and call your local florist. They have taken my money twice without delivering, dont make the same mistake...STAY AWAY FROM 1800-FLOWERS!!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE...STAY AWAY
I ordered my wife valentines pendant and giant stuffed bear on 4 February (Im deployed to Afghanistan but my residence is in Northern Virginia). CC was charged almost right away and everything was fine, then some snow hit VA, i was expecting still with a few days after snow fall for fedex to deliver it on the 12th (Original date of delivery) instead on the 12th it got pushed back to the 13th. ALl of this is via fedex tracking, 1800flowers never bothered to email me to inform me the order was delayed. Today (the 13th) my order has been pushed back for a delivery of 16 FEBRUARY...im not kidding. They also ignored my first email from the 12th in regards to the order and why it was not delivered. I spent almost $200 (lucky for me its only a pendant and stuffed giant bear so at least its not flowers like some other consumers that have complained and stated a similar incident and have to wait for after presidents day to get them stale and dead). What a joke, and to think i had been a loyal customer for over 5 years. I will take my bussiness elsewhere and I will be demanding a refund and if not promptly processed will be filing wih the BBB of Virginia.
