"Beware of this company! Do not buy from them! I ordered a phone. they charged me. its suppose to be same day shipping. what a bunch of crock. i email them to ask where my order is. then i find out its on BACKORDER for 2 weeks. I dont think they actually have the products on hand though they should inform you of this when you purchase. 10 days later,I email again to ask and they send me the SAME EMAIL saying another 2 weeks. I call and email and now I just want to cancel my order and get a full refund. No response. I think they just took my money and ran. These people should be reported. "

"This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. As long as they are taking your money they are prompt and efficient. When it comes time to refund, they will not acknowledge you and then will lie to avoid refunding your money even though you follow all their return guidelines.
I bought a phone mid-August '06 and finally resolved my problem with 101phones.com (101),at the end of Dec.
The phone proved defective right out of the box so I immediately called for an RMA. When they left me on hold for over 5 minutes, I emailed them. No response. After several more unanswered emails I contacted my credit card company and the BBB in NY where 101 is located. Initially they would not respond to the BBB but did after the cc co. back-charged them. They told the BBB they would take the phone back if I paid shipping and a 10% late fee! I sent the BBB a letter explaining why 101 was now willing to settle - just to have it on record.
Several weeks later the cc co. notified me that 101 had rebutted, stating that I had never contacted them so now the cc co. had to put the charge back on my account. In response, I sent copies of all emails, the telephone bill and the correspondence with the BBB. The cc co. actually telephoned me that time and said I'd finally won for good.
NOTE that a complaint is on file with the New York City BBB. If you are having trouble with this company, file another one. Maybe we can save someone else a lot of trouble. "

"Before I ordered a photo from them, I called them to verify the phone system had two separate handsets. I was told it did. I then ordered the phone on line as I did not have my credit card available when I called. I got the phone and it had only one hand set. I asked to have them pick this up and they refused. I filed a BBB complaint and challenged the credit card purchase. They have been very nasty.

"They sent us an old phone instead of the new one we ordered, and wouldn't pay for shipping to fix their mistake! They also charged us a 10% restocking fee, even though they said they would waive that fee. Very unhappy with the service.

"One word to describe them. Thieves. I found them on the net, they had good prices and the item I wanted was a BT headset. It was "Bulk" packaged so I called them to see what "Bulk Packaged" was. I was told the item is brand new with all parts, its just in a non OEM packaging. Ok so I ordered. It came in a cheap postal envelope and the headset was in a zip lock bag. The headset was missing 2 ear gels, it should of came with 3 total (small, med. lg) but only had one and no manual. I called them to see if they can send me the missing parts. The guy on the phone was useless, he told me that it was bulk and there was no description on their site that said it came with 3 ear gels so there is nothing he could do. I told him this is not new as its missing the parts and I was being mis-represented. We battled back and forth to no success. I was transferred to customer service where I asked for a refund and they said sure. I guess they did not need my business but oh wait, it gets better. They have a restocking fee, I lost $9 from this fee for them to take it and put the headset into another zip lock bag. Really do yourself a favor and stay away from them, even though its tempting due to the low prices but you get what you pay for."

"AVOID THIS ONLINE VENDOR! I ordered a phone for my hearing impaired parents and was immediately charged for the order. I checked the online order status and it said "SHIPPED" with no tracking number. I called to find out the tracking number and was on hold for over 30 minutes when I had to hang up. Christmas passed, New Years passed and no phone showed up - so I called again. Again, I was on hold for over 20 minutes, had someone pick up the phone only to put me back on hold for more than 10 minutes. When I finally got someone to answer they said "the phone is on a national backorder and would be available in mid to late January, so it should be shipped shortly." I asked why the order status showed shipped and he said that must be a mistake. I asked why I was charged for a phone they don't even have on hand and the response was - "Oh, that was a mistake." I asked it they made it a policy to charge people for phones they don't even have on hand and the supervisor said "That doesn't happen very often." I could go on, but the bottomline is they have NO customer service, they are DECEPTIVE, and CANNOT DELIVER the products they sell.

Support online vendors who are honest and have customer service."

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Customer service is awful!!! Rep/Supervisor Kristen repeatedly hung up on me after making a flippant remark. Spoke to Queenie who only made excuses for Kristen. No one even took responsibility for a screw up that was the companies fault. No apology, nothing. Ask to file a complaint and I was hung up on. Asked to speak to a different supervisor and I was left on hold for OVER 2 HOURS!!!!

I will not be recommending this company for anything. I will also filing a complaint with the BBB and the local chamber of commerce.

Buyer Beware!!!
I urge all of the customers that have been scammed and ripped off by the practices of this company to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as I have done. We have to protect ourselves as consumers from people who take our money and then lie to us then make us pay to correct their mistakes.

"Do not do business with 101 phones if you need items to come in a stated time frame, or if you order more than one item! If you order more than one item, you cannot trust that you will actually receive all of your items. They have no way of knowing when their warehouses send out only part of an order. They are totally incompetent.

If there is a problem (which is very likely), you have to spent 30 minutes on hold each time you call them, and the person you speak to will know nothing.

"The products they sent did not work. The phone kept cutting out and the answering machine was all static! When asking the customer service rep why they applied a 35% return fee, she said that was what they do if I don't exchange. I didn't exchange because I didn't want another broken phone. I now know why they want the original packaging back, so they can pack up the broken products they sold to me and sell them right back to you!
I will never buy "re-furbished" products from 101 phones again!"

"I wish I had looked at this site before I bought. This is not a store, just clerks taking orders for multiple companies. The clerk didn't know a cordless phone from a cellphone and insisted OnlinePhone Store had no affiliation with 101phones. Last fall I had trouble with Panasonic, now AT&T. AT&t is computer only, no humans, and when I called the 'store' I got a clerk with minimal IQ. I wish Amazon sold more phones. Despite the price phones appear to be disposable. After 6 months AT&T wants both bases, both handsets and all accessories in the original box. Only one handset is defective; I'll lose all programming and hope my old phone is in the storeroom. These 'merchants' are a joke and couldn't care less about problems."
