First of all, let me just say that I used to be a loyal Kmart shopper. But after the experience I had this past weekend, I doubt I'll ever shop there again.  
 
I was looking to buy the Merlose Collection Hexagon table and 6 Chair set. After reading the reviews on the website - I was a bit skepticle of the quality, since many people wrote about the glass top shattering. But I went to the store anyway to buy the set. Well the cashier at the store told me they were out of them, but printed an inventory for some other stores in the area. So I called to make sure - and only one said they had it. A store that was at the bottom of the list since it was the farthest from me. I specifically asked about the Hexagon table, and the lady on the phone said that she was absolutely sure they had it. So I borrowed a buddies truck and headed over there - when I got there, it took 20 minutes before someone finally showed up to help me out. They rang me up and then I waited another 15 minutes for them to bring the set out. Only then did I find out that they DIDN'T have the table after all. With little appology from the store - I asked for a full refund and headed home. I wasted 2 hours of my day driving and waiting at the store to pick up something that I was assured would be in stock and wasn't. I was furious. And the sad part is that I had my heart set on that patio collection. I now realize why Kmart has always had so much problems with Bankrupcy. With the way they treat their customers, I'm suprised they're even still around. My Memorial Day weekend was ruined bc of all this mess since I couldn't get anything else for the patio in time. So thanks Kmart, for a terrible shopping experience. I sure won't be coming back to your store ever again!

A mistake in order the customer service can not cancel order even though the order was not filled or shipped and made in the last 5 min. with wrong items ordered. Sounded like an order can not be CANCELLED after taken and you have to deal with the return policy. Very retarded for an online purchase. Never heard about such policy.

I got some Route 66 pants from here. I love the quality and price of these pants, and the service which I received from K-Mart.com I would highly recommend them to all.

i attempted to purchase a 20g play station 3 on feb. 8 because the web site showed in stock. i received a phone call on feb. 12 to verify the order. at the time i spoke to the customer rep. never did he mention the item was out of stock or it was a chance that it would be. he just informed me that the item would ship within 72 hours. on feb 15. i get an email that the item was out of stock and my credit card will not be charged wait here's more the next morning i get on kmart's website and it showing they not only have 20g playstaion 3's but now 60g's also. ????? never again....

We will never shop at Kmart.com or the Kmart stores again. We placed an order for a laptop that seemed to be priced really low. We were not surprised when the order was cancelled (mispriced) but I am completely irritated over how it was done. We received an email saying they were sorry we had cancelled the order and as a result, my credit card would not be touched. They were the ones who cancelled the order, not us! And the charge WAS pending on my credit card (I checked with Discover)which tied up almost a $1000 dollars of credit! When I called Kmart.com about this, they said they had no way to reverse the authorization but the charge would go away on its own within two weeks!!! Now if I was a person just starting out with my credit history and maybe only had a $1000 limit on my card, this could've been a real hardship, all because Kmart made a mistake and then refused to fix it in a timely manner. The good folks at Discover did handle it for me quite nicely, but I'll say again, I will not shop Kmart ever again. They offer the poorest customer service I've encountered in quite a while. It's no wonder they are struggling to stay out of bankruptcy when they treat customers so badly.

Purchased a DVD player and VCR player and recorder the day after Thanksgiving, which we had to be there by five AM. After getting these items home they weren't compatable with my new Sony t.v., and we could tell that they were inferior quality. When I attempted to return these items, original receiept in tow, the store refused to take back my VCR and DVD player. Although I had completely complied with the store policy as stated on the back of the receipt form. However, the manager made up a new policy just for us and then, refused to take back these items based upon her new made-up store policy. After going through the process with he Better Business Burea, KMart continued never made it right or appologized. This went clear up the corporate level to the very top of the company too. K-mart refused to take back my purchase.  
Not only that, but my daughter was with me and also purchased these same items, which KMart refused to take back as well based upon their new made-up store policy. At first KMart was going to take our purchases back, but a disgrumbled employee from electronics department started to complain. Then, he became increasingly hostile towards our female gender and our intelligence as females.  
It was a nightmare. On the same day that we purchased the VCRs and DVD players, my daughter had put a few toys on lay-a-way for her children for Christmas. There were several errors on the receipt, but the sales person was unable to correct her errors, "due to her fear of loosing her job from her manager". Then, she instructed my daughter to get her money back at the time that she picked up her lay-away. When my daughter went to pick up her lay-away, a different tired, sales person accidentially returned the lay-away back to the store. My daughter protested, but was told that, "the only person that could change the mistake was the manager." My daughter insisted that she go and get the manager. The sales girl, left the lay-away station, locked the door behind her and refused to come back out to help her. Plus, this same sales person charged my daughter a ten dollar charge for returning the lay-away to the store, even though it wasn't her fault. My daughter almost gave up and decided to have her DVD player repaired since it had only worked for two weeks. However, after spending a minimum of five hours on the telephone at her expense to locate the telephone number listed on the warenty, it was discovered that this was only listed on the box as facy print, because the reapir people really didn't exist. Neither one of us have ever returned to this store and we refuse to shop there. KMart could be giving everything in the store away for free and we wouldn't go that store again.  
This is just a short comment, because the real story was much worse.

Customer service informed us that they could not cancel order even though the order was not filled or shipped. Sounded like an order can not be cancelled after taken and you have to deal with the return policy.
